More than 20 years ago, long before I embraced Eastern Orthodoxy, I was regularly attending a men’s Bible Study at a church in Winchester, Mass. After a while, something began bothering me. Jesus and His Apostles frequently quoted the Old Testament. However, when I turned to the Old Testament passage alluded to, it usually said something different—not radically different, but different nonetheless. I asked my group if they knew why.

Carney’s ruling Liberal Party won the backing of Bloc Québécois after agreeing to strip out the religious exemption that previously protected Scripture.
The National Post reports that the separatist Bloc is now backing Bill C-9, the Combating Hate Act, following the Carney government’s decision to remove the carve-out for religious texts.
Carney, a World Economic Forum “agenda contributor,” has made the legislation a central part of his speech-policing agenda.

Technocrats like Elon Musk have been saying for years that personal robot servants are just around the corner, as he has even boldly predicted that everyone will soon own their own personal robot servant, for only about $35,000.00 as he plans to transform his Tesla automobile company into a company that mass produces personal robots.
But how realistic is this techno-prophecy? We see videos online of what humanoid robots can allegedly do, but where are these human robots in real life? Why doesn’t Elon Musk have one following him around all the time, especially with his many media appearances, if they are so close to introducing a mass-produced inexpensive robot that everyone can purchase?

The New York Times opinion section is at it again. This time, it explores the resurgence of conservative Christianity among Gen Z Americans and its implications for ongoing political polarization in the U.S.
Guest essay author Daniel K. Williams argued that, despite rising secularism among about one-third of Gen Z, there is a revival in conservative Christianity, which he sees as a response to post-Covid despair, a search for purpose, and charismatic influences. Williams worries that the intertwining of faith with right-wing politics emphasizes tribalism and spiritual conflict. He even goes as far as claiming that becoming a Christian and conservative could lead some to question democracy if their values don’t prevail through voting.
