Jimmie Gardner, the brother-in-law of prominent Democratic figure and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, has been arrested on serious charges of human trafficking and attacking a teenager.
Gardner, who has a controversial past including a previous conviction for sexual assault that was later overturned, was apprehended by Tampa authorities according to WFLA 8. He is accused of engaging in illicit activities with a 16-year-old girl.

You likely didn’t hear about Matthew Temael, the 23-year-old transgender dude who goes by the prairie-fairylicious moniker “Dandelion.”
Temael was arrested in September for allegedly stabbing Flordia man Louis Stackhouse to death, ransacking his mobile home, torching it, and swiping the dead man’s car. He was pulled over during a traffic stop and arrested after trying to escape.

The city of Portland, Oregon has a new ban on tents and camping on public land that went into effect at the end of last week, but it’s not being enforced, according to reports.
This isn’t really surprising, given the size of the problem in Portland. If this was strictly enforced, the police would probably be doing nothing else all day.
Still, why would the city bother enacting a ban like this if they weren’t serious about enforcing it?
