President Trump and his lawyers on Monday spoke to the press outside of a New York City courthouse after the conclusion of the opening day of the non-jury trial in a civil fraud case brought by Stalinist Letitia James.
Trump and an attorney for Trump said the judge conceded that the statute of limitations is in effect on transactions that closed prior to 2014, which makes up 80% of the case.
New York Judge Arthur Engoron ruled last Tuesday that Trump and Trump Org. are liable for fraud.
NASA Plans to Mine the Moon

NASA has plans to begin mining for rare earths and iron on the moon in the early 2030s, Reuters has reported, citing a rocket scientist from the agency.
According to Gerald Sanders, NASA will initially explore the development of oxygen and water on the Moon and will later consider exploring iron ore and rare earths mining.
“We are trying to invest in the exploration phase, understand the resources… to (lower) risk such that external investment makes sense that could lead to development and production,” Sanders said at a mining industry event in Australia.

In a move that sent Dow futures on a steady downward plunge beginning at 5 a.m. EDT this morning (clocking in at down 268 points by 8:14 a.m.), last evening the credit ratings agency, Moody’s Investors Service, took more sweeping actions in the U.S. banking sector.
Moody’s cut the ratings of 10 banks by one notch, placed six banks on review for potential downgrade, and changed its outlook to negative on 11 other banks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law officially banning all transgender genital mutilation in his home nation.
The new law, which was approved unanimously by both chambers of the Russian Duma, prohibits all “medical interventions aimed at changing the sex of a person” and also prevents any individual from changing their gender on legal documents or public records.
Additionally, the law states that all marriages are annulled where a person claims they “changed gender” while banning all transgenders from adopting children or becoming foster parents.
