In what could potentially be another climate terrorist attack following the horrendous climate terrorist attack in Maui last week, an “unprecedented” Pacific tropical storm has just been upgraded to a Category 2 hurricane, and is headed to California this weekend.
A storm headed in the direction of Southern California became a hurricane and later strengthened to a Category 2 on Thursday, the National Hurricane Center said in a public advisory.

Back in the 1970s, when trees became almost a protected class, we heard that we had to ditch paper supermarket bags (and move to plastic) because we were decimating too many forests. Now, 50 years later, with more tree cover in the U.S. than a century ago, the greentopians have another complaint:
American forests will become CO2 emitters by 2070, they aver, joining 10 protected forests worldwide that already are net spewers of the gas.
Reflecting the complaints many misanthropic leftists have about people, the issue is that as trees age they become takers: Their growth slows and they use less CO2. In fact, the amount metabolized is lower than that produced by wildfires and dead-tree decomposition.

A lot of those who pay attention have come to the conclusion that “climate change” is a manufactured crisis designed by the elites to control the public and roll out the new and permanent slave system on Earth. Now, one scientist is admitting that the “overwhelming consensus” is nothing more than invented.
The ruling classes have crafted their narrative and the “scientists” are backing it up. We are told climate change is a crisis, and that there is an “overwhelming scientific consensus.”
“It’s a manufactured consensus,” climate scientist Judith Curry said according to the New York Post. She says scientists have an incentive to exaggerate risk to pursue “fame and fortune.”

The catastrophic wildfires on Maui have spurred many to speculate on what caused such a tragedy on an otherwise lush tropical island. And, of course, many in the climate cult are simply closing their eyes, covering their ears, and shouting that climate change is the cause of this tragedy, and that everyone of us with our use of fossil fuels is personally to blame.
As of this writing, at least 93 are dead and the community of Lahaina lies in smoldering ruins as firefighters struggle to contain blazes on the island. People have been stunned to hear about a wildfire, of all things, devastating a tropical paradise. Such things are only supposed to occur in dry areas such as the American West or Australia — not on a lush tropical island.

The latest figures out of fire-stricken Hawaii are 55 dead in Maui and the complete destruction of the historic city of Lahaina.
Dozens of additional people have been injured by the fires, some of them critically, in what has been dubbed the state’s deadliest natural disaster since 1960 when a tsunami killed 61 people on the Big Island.
As of Thursday, 80 percent of the fire is contained, and the blame game is now taking place where one side says the fires are just a natural occurrence while the other blames it on global warming and climate change.

On Thursday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby stated that President Joe Biden hasn’t decided whether he’ll declare a national emergency on climate and that “all the severe storms” that “we continue to see are definitely caused as a result of what’s going on in the rising temperature across the globe.”
Kirby said, “The President hasn’t made a decision yet on declaring a national emergency on climate, Poppy. But, for all intents and purposes, he’s treating this with all the due gravity and the seriousness that the climate crisis deserves. It’s been a focus for him since day one.”
