France has been on fire for a week.
The country erupted in riots last Tuesday after the fatal shooting of a French- Algerian teenager, Nahel M., during a traffic stop. So far, one firefighter died while trying to put out car fires. Thousands of cars have been torched. Hundreds of buildings have been burnt, and rockets were fired at a suburban Parisian mayor and his family. Over 3000 people have been arrested, and as of Sunday, the protests have begun to slow somewhat but have not totally stopped.

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has sued the CIA for covering up the true man-made origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is an action under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”), 5 U.S.C. § 552,to compel production of CIA records relating to allegations that members of the CIA’s COVID Discovery Team, a group of employees tasked with analyzing the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, received monetary incentives to change their position on the origins of the virus,” the complaint states.

According to this recent story over at CNBC, a recent poll found nearly ALL Americans concerned about the current state of the economy and the direction our country is headed, with a whopping 96% of those polled being ‘concerned‘ according to Intuit Credit Karma.
Leading to over 25% of those polled carrying out what they called ‘doom spending,‘ that story also warned that ‘young people‘ are particularly dismayed, with the cost of living continuing to go up under Joe Biden while high inflation is making it particularly difficult for ‘Generation Z,’ with over 50% of them claiming the ‘increased cost of living is a barrier to their financial success,‘ according to another survey conducted by the Bank of America.

Gun control advocates continue to claim that only restrictions on gun ownership will keep people safe from mass shooters and other criminals. However, good people with guns can stop bad people with guns. And bad people will still have guns despite gun control laws. Further weakening the argument that restricting private firearms ownership will reduce violent crimes is the fact that states with “constitutional carry” — where individuals are free to exercise their Second Amendment rights without seeking permission from the government — have lower homicide rates than states with more restrictive gun laws.
