The Smoking Gun: The Fusion GPS-Manufactured Collusion Scandal

by Dr Robert Owens, Freedom Outpost:

Let’s see; the Clinton campaign pays for a former British spy to work with Russian intelligence to create a bogus document that is then used as the basis for wiretaps aimed at the Trump campaign and the media is trying to tell us, “Move along nothing to see here.”

Was the so-called dossier a hit piece from the begging?  Maybe we should listen to Mary Jacoby, the wife of Glenn Simpson, the former Wall Street Journal reporter who started Fusion GPS, the firm behind the dossier.

She said on Facebook, “It’s come to my attention that some people still don’t realize what Glenn’s role was in exposing Putin’s control of Donald Trump.  Let’s be clear. Glenn conducted the investigation. Glenn hired Chris Steele. Chris Steele worked for Glenn.”

According to the website Tablet, “In June, three months after being hired by the lawyers for the Clinton campaign and the DNC, Simpson brought on Steele—but Steele hadn’t lived or worked in Russia in nearly 25 years. Since he was identified as a British spy in 1999, and was head of the Russia desk when Russian assassins killed FSB defector Alexander Litvinenko in a sushi restaurant in the British capital, Steele was hardly in a position to make discreet inquiries. Still, Simpson must have thought Steele’s name at a minimum would be useful in marketing whatever his firm pulled together. Reportedly, Steele had a good relationship with the FBI, and journalists love spies who spill secrets.”

Of course, having all this bogus information to accuse Trump would do no good if their candidate was indicted before the election (or after) so of course the crimes of Hillary Clinton had to again be whitewashed.

Found under the heading, “Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.”

According to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) a member of the House Judiciary Committee, “I can certainly say that my impression after these interviews is that there was extreme pro-Hillary Clinton bias that benefitted her in this investigation and that she received special treatment as a consequence of her candidacy for president. … And we have email evidence from Andrew McCabe indicating that Hillary Clinton was going to get an ‘HQ Special,’ a headquarters special. That meant that the normal processes of the Washington field office weren’t followed and he had a special. And he had a very small group of people that had a pro-Hillary Clinton bias who had a direct role in changing that investigation from one that likely should have been criminal to one where she was able to walk.”

What should Trump do?

Roger Stone in Stone Cold Truth gives this advice, “The president must completely disempower and dismantle Robert S. Mueller’s fraudulent rogue prosecution gang, which is merely an extension of a larger corruption of power that is unparalleled in our history.”

Specifically, he advises that the president must use every resource at his disposal to prosecute the almost-seditious abuses of power by lawless Clinton-Obama FBI and NSA apparatchiks who:

  • Politically weaponized the federal government’s electronic intelligence capabilities to spy on a presidential candidate and his campaign
  • Colluded with foreign and non-state intelligence agents to manufacture evidence used as false pretexts for securing FISA warrants that employed the national security laws of the United States to give illicit, illegal cover to this political espionage
  • Used the fruits of this political espionage activity to damage or otherwise hinder this candidate, once he had become president-elect and eventually President of the United States, through surreptitious releases of the criminally-procured information,
  • Fabricated and instigated false allegations about foreign state collusion implicating the president’s election campaign and family members, and
  • Perpetuated this massive criminal fraud on the American people for nearly a full year by manipulating and abusing the investigatory and prosecutorial powers of the Department of Justice.

Stone was arrested on a process crime and not Russian collusion.

Has the NYT Gone Collectively Mad?

by Robert Parry, Russia Insider:

For those of us who have taught journalism or worked as editors, a sign that an article is the product of sloppy or dishonest journalism is that a key point will be declared as flat fact when it is unproven or a point in serious dispute – and it then becomes the foundation for other claims, building a story like a high-rise constructed on sand.

This use of speculation as fact is something to guard against particularly in the work of inexperienced or opinionated reporters. But what happens when this sort of unprofessional work tops page one of The New York Times one day as a major “investigative” article and reemerges the next day in even more strident form as a major Times editorial? Are we dealing then with an inept journalist who got carried away with his thesis or are we facing institutional corruption or even a collective madness driven by ideological fervor?

What is stunning about the lede story in last Friday’s print edition of The New York Times is that it offers no real evidence to support its provocative claim that – as the headline states – “To Sway Vote, Russia Used Army of Fake Americans” or its subhead: “Flooding Twitter and Facebook, Impostors Helped Fuel Anger in Polarized U.S.”

In the old days, this wildly speculative article, which spills over three pages, would have earned an F in a J-school class or gotten a rookie reporter a stern rebuke from a senior editor. But now such unprofessionalism is highlighted by The New York Times, which boasts that it is the standard-setter of American journalism, the nation’s “newspaper of record.”

In this case, it allows reporter Scott Shane to introduce his thesis by citing some Internet accounts that apparently used fake identities, but he ties none of them to the Russian government. Acting like he has minimal familiarity with the Internet – yes, a lot of people do use fake identities – Shane builds his case on the assumption that accounts that cited references to purloined Democratic emails must be somehow from an agent or a bot connected to the Kremlin.

For instance, Shane cites the fake identity of “Melvin Redick,” who suggested on June 8, 2016, that people visit DCLeaks which, a few days earlier, had posted some emails from prominent Americans, which Shane states as fact – not allegation – were “stolen … by Russian hackers.”

Shane then adds, also as flat fact, that “The site’s phony promoters were in the vanguard of a cyberarmy of counterfeit Facebook and Twitter accounts, a legion of Russian-controlled impostors whose operations are still being unraveled.”

The Times’ Version

In other words, Shane tells us, “The Russian information attack on the election did not stop with the hacking and leaking of Democratic emails or the fire hose of stories, true, false and in between, that battered Mrs. Clinton on Russian outlets like RT and Sputnik. Far less splashy, and far more difficult to trace, was Russia’s experimentation on Facebook and Twitter, the American companies that essentially invented the tools of social media and, in this case, did not stop them from being turned into engines of deception and propaganda.”

Besides the obvious point that very few Americans watch RT and/or Sputnik and that Shane offers no details about the alleged falsity of those “fire hose of stories,” let’s examine how his accusations are backed up:

“An investigation by The New York Times, and new research from the cybersecurity firm FireEye, reveals some of the mechanisms by which suspected Russian operators used Twitter and Facebook to spread anti-Clinton messages and promote the hacked material they had leaked. On Wednesday, Facebook officials disclosed that they had shut down several hundred accounts that they believe were created by a Russian company linked to the Kremlin and used to buy $100,000 in ads pushing divisive issues during and after the American election campaign. On Twitter, as on Facebook, Russian fingerprints are on hundreds or thousands of fake accounts that regularly posted anti-Clinton messages.”

Note the weasel words: “suspected”; “believe”; ‘linked”; “fingerprints.” When you see such equivocation, it means that these folks – both the Times and FireEye – don’t have hard evidence; they are speculating.

And it’s worth noting that the supposed “army of fake Americans” may amount to hundreds out of Facebook’s two billion or so monthly users and the $100,000 in ads compare to the company’s annual ad revenue of around $27 billion. (I’d do the math but my calculator doesn’t compute such tiny percentages.)

So, this “army” is really not an “army” and we don’t even know that it is “Russian.” But some readers might say that surely we know that the Kremlin did mastermind the hacking of Democratic emails!

Absolutely Devastating New Report Implicates CNN In ‘Fake News’ Russia Collusion Story – Media Fails In Attempts To Cover Up Their Lead Role In Creating False Storyline

by Susan Duclos, All News Pipeline:

An absolutely devastating new report has come out implicating CNN as taking a lead role in creating one of the biggest “fake news” stories that has been circulating since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States of America.

The excellent investigative report is credited to The Daily Caller, in an article titled “CNN’s Undisclosed Ties To Fusion GPS,” where they show that one of their lead reporters of the much-talked about, “salacious and unverified” Trump dossier which CNN helped get pushed to the front of national coverage, and that was partially funded by the DNC and the Clinton campaign, had close ties to Fusion GPS’ operatives.

Side note– It has also been recently revealed that since April of 2016, Obama’s campaign organization, Obama For America (OFA), also paid over $972,000 to the law firm, Perkins Coie, which secretly paid Fusion GPS in 2016.

For those that do not know, Fusion GPS is responsible for producing the Trump dossier, which former FBI Director James Comey once called “salacious and unverified,”  and to which major portions have already had documented disinformation included within. Said information was in large part fed to former British spy Christopher Steele, by Kremlin operatives and Russian sources

Via Bloomberg

In the Clinton case, Fusion GPS, the firm working on the Trump opposition research, paid Steele, a foreigner, with the campaign’s money. The U.K., of course, is a U.S. ally; Russia is an adversary. But the information Steele produced came mainly from Russian sources. Unlike lawyer Natalya Veselnitskaya, who once did legal work for the FSB domestic intelligence in a minor property dispute, these sources were really well-connected, if Steele is to be believed. They included, according to the version of his dossier published by Buzzfeed, “a senior Russian Foreign ministry figure,” “a former top level Russian intelligence officer still active inside the Kremlin,” “a senior Russian financial official” and “a senior Kremlin official.”

Long story short on Fusion GPS and the Trump dossier is the Washington Free Beacon hired them before Donald Trump became the GOP nominee, for opposition research, they canceled their contract with them after Trump was nominated, then the DNC, the Clinton campaign, and it appears Obama’s campaign organization provided funds to Perkins Coie, which then hired Steele to create the now infamous Trump dossier.

Now we find out from the Daily Caller article that CNN justice correspondent Evan Perez, who has run quite a few stories on the dossier, including one of the first to help kick off the Russia/ Trump dossier angle, has close ties with multiple Fusion GPS operatives.

Via the Daily Caller:

CNN’s reporting on the dossier, led by justice correspondent Evan Perez, has been favorable to the firm, Fusion GPS, and hyped the dossier’s credibility. Left out of Perez’s reporting, which has relied largely on unnamed sources, is his personal closeness to Fusion GPS’ operatives. Fusion has repeatedly been described in Senate testimonies as a smear-for-hire operation that manufactures misleading or false media narratives for its clients.

Glenn Simpson, the Fusion co-founder most often associated with the dossier, is used to working on stories with Perez. As reporters at The Wall Street Journal, Perez and Simpson regularly co-authored stories on national security.

Another Fusion founder, Tom Catan, worked as a reporter for the Journal at the same time as Perez and Simpson. The third Fusion co-founder, Peter Fritsch, worked above Perez and Simpson as the senior national security editor.

Simpson and Fritsch left the WSJ in 2011 to launch Fusion. Perez jumped from the paper to CNN in 2013. Another longtime Journal reporter, Neil King, left the paper to join Fusion in December 2016.

DC also has a variety of images which were posted to Facebook that “underscore the personal closeness between Perez and the Fusion GPS operatives.”

To date  CNN, nor their reporter Perez, who helped shape the coverage and narrative of the whole “Russia” storyline, has bothered to disclose their reporter’s close ties with Fusion GPS operatives.

It is not only being noted by right-leaning outlets that the MSM seems to attempting a “coverup,” regarding the shadowy back story of the dossier and the ties between intelligence agencies, the Democrats and Fusion GPS, as on October 15, 2017, the Wall Street Journal wrote about how the Justice department should not protect the FBI and Fusion GPS, stating clearly at their conclusion, “Americans don’t need a Justice Department coverup abetted by Glenn Simpson’s media buddies,” which we now know CNN’s Perez is one of.

For the record, it was also CNN’s Evan Perez that broke the story that Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed the first charges in his investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 election.

Amazing how much inside confidential information gets “leaked” to that man, isn’t it?

CNN has suffered quite a few scandals, from a “Russia” story that had to be retracted, deleted, and all links removed, which also resulted the forced resignation of three of their high profile employees, to the undercover camera footage of CNN representatives admitting the whole Russia/Trump collusion narrative was “b*llshit” with another panelist calling it a “nothing-burger,” to having to correct and retract another story, as just some recent examples of how CNN has been one of the leading outlets to creating a false narrative while attempting to downplay the very real Russia collusion with the Clintons and Obama administration with the Uranium One deal, exposed by The Hill recently.

Democrat-Media Complex: NBC Knew That Third Kavanaugh Accuser’s Claim Was Trash In September

by Matt Vespa, Townhall:

While the news has been dominated by the arrest of a Florida man who is suspected of sending explosive devices to top Democrats and former presidents, we have another episode of Democrat-media complex: Brett Kavanaugh edition. Apparently, NBC News knew the accusations lobbed against Trump’s Supreme Court nominee by Julie Swetnick were total trash in September but sat on it until Swetnick and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, were referred for criminal prosecution for making false statements to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Trump Hits Fake News Washington Post’s ‘Jeff Bozo’

by Richard Moorhead, Big League Politics:

President Trump expressed his condolences Sunday night in a tweet to Jeff ‘Bozo’ Bezos, the oligarch owner of Amazon and the Washington Post, for being profiled in a National Enquirer adultery scandal. Bezos, the world’s richest man, had been carrying out an affair with a TV anchor named Lauren Sanchez, while both were married. The billionaire oligarch has now announced he’s undergoing a divorce.

MSNBC’s Maddow focused on witch hunt rather than real evidence of actual Russian collusion

by Shepard Ambellas, Intellihub:

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow refuses to believe there’s “no evidence of collusion” and absolutely will not report on the real Russian collusion that has taken place with the Democrats.

(INTELLIHUB) — Liberal talk show host Rachel Maddow hasn’t yet come to terms with the fact that the entire Donald Trump-Russia collusion hoax has turned out to be just that (a hoax) as she continues to spew her garbage on air even claiming the president had lied.

CNN’s Ratings Collapse As Primetime Shows Draw Less Viewers Than Re-Runs Of “Yogi Bear”

from Zero Hedge:

A series of fake news articles (see here, here and here), black mail of anonymous Reddit userswho had the audacity to poke fun at them and a couple of undercover videos from Project Veritas revealing CNN producers admitting their own news is “mostly bullshit,” seems to be taking a toll on CNN’s ratings.

As The Federalist notes in the table below, for the week of June 26th – July 2nd, CNN’s primetime shows (Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon) managed to draw about 6{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} fewer viewers than multi-decade old re-runs of “Yogi Bear,” “Full House,” and “Friends” which air in the same time slots on Nick-At-Nite.

CNN busted as co-conspirator in deep state spygate scandal that targeted Trump… coordinated leaks and lies with the corrupt FBI

by Jayson Veley, Natural News:

We have reached a point in our nation’s history where the Democratic Party and the mainstream media are no longer two separate entities; they are one in the same. Both have the same goals and motives, which as of late include the destruction of President Trump, his administration, and the conservative movement as a whole.

Now, as reported by Zero Hedge, it appears as though the fake news network CNN colluded with the FBI during the 2016 presidential election, specifically in the weeks surrounding the release of the infamous “Steele” dossier that, among other things, made several wild and phony allegations about Donald Trump’s personal life.

CNN Has Lost 26% of its Viewers in a Year

from Humans Are Free:

CNN just had its worst month for ratings in four years as the network lost 26 per cent of viewers compared to a year ago.

“April ranks as CNN’s lowest-rated month among total viewers in nearly four years, since October 2015,” reports Forbes.

The network’s flagship primetime show, Cuomo Primetime, drew a total of just 917,000 viewers in April, which is its worst performance ever.

Fake News: Media, Neo-Cons Claim Troops Are Unhappy to be Leaving Syria

by Paul Joseph Watson, via DC Clothesline:

The mainstream media and neo-cons are circulating the narrative that U.S. troops are furious about leaving Syria, when in reality anecdotal evidence suggests the opposite to be true.

On Wednesday, President Trump partly fulfilled his campaign promise to bring the troops home by dropping the bombshell announcement that America would be pulling out of Syria, sending shockwaves through the deep state and the national security establishment.

The announcement set off a wave of temper tantrums from the establishment media, anti-Trump leftists (who suddenly love war just because Trump is against it) and the usual suspect neo-cons who are upset that America is rolling back yet another disastrous foreign intervention.
