In a win for the American people, U.S. Senate Republicans have abandoned the illegal-alien amnesty they called a border security bill.
The reason, GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, is that House Republicans said it would never pass the House.
But killing the measure did more than deep-six language that would have imported more cheap foreign labor and given more than $2 billion to leftist open borders “refugee” groups.
It also delays more wasteful foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel, which would have amounted to almost $75 billion at a time when the U.S. national debt is now $34.2 trillion and counting.

I was amazed to read the obituary of Sir Anthony Epstein who died at the age of 102 last week.
He suspected that a lymphoma (cancer) named after Dennis Burkitt (who first described it) was caused by a virus and was determined to discover that virus. He received numerous specimens regularly flown in from Uganda and consistently failed to find any evidence until a flight was seriously delayed and the specimens when they finally arrived all looked cloudy.

There are parts of America, and those portions are increasing, that to compare them to third world countries would be an insult to third world countries.
This cannot be overstated, or said too often, because too many Americans refuse to see it and acknowledge it until it is their city, their state and they are the victims. Once that happens the complaints begin, asking “why weren’t we warned?,” in a whiny little voice while those of us that have been reporting it and basically screaming warnings from the rooftops, just shake our heads in disgust.
How many new videos of drugged out “zombies” sprawled out on sidewalks, or shooting up drugs outside in public, need to be taken and published online, for Americans to wake up?

Over the weekend, Sarah covered some responses of Lāhainā residents, including those who didn’t want the president to come, with Jay Awan pointing out Biden is “just coming to Maui to look good in front of the cameras.” Biden’s actual visit was met with some less than welcome responses from Maui residents.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets this week to protest against their Conservative Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has gone on a rampage and has started bombing everyone from local aid workers trying to help Palestinian refugees to bombing the Iranian Embassy in Damascus Syria.
These protests in Israel are reportedly the largest protests to date since October 7, 2023 when the Hamas-Israel war started.

This piece isn’t intended to prove President Trump won Michigan in his reelection campaign of 2020. I’ve already written that treatise, and my thorough scraping of all 83 counties in the Great Lakes State suggests Trump’s margin of victory would have settled around 8.5% in a fair election, which happens to jive with the trends in the state since Obama’s high point in 2008.
Blatant cheating, such as shutting out Republican observers at the TCF Center on Election Night 2020, is not all that makes the 2020 election suspect. Michigan is losing population relative to the rest of the nation, growing by just 193,691 residents in the 2010s according to the U.S. Census Bureau, which is doing all it can to prop up so-called blue states and restrict the expansion of red ones.

Following Argentina’s recent debt repayment in the Chinese yuan, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has hinted that it may soon accept the yuan from all countries that need to settle their debt obligations.
IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack confirmed that Argentina paid off $1.1 billion of its $2.7 billion debt using the yuan, and that it may soon become the norm for other countries to do the same.
