US Declines Israel’s Invitation To Start WW3 (For Now)

Iran has carried out its long-promised retaliation for Israel’s attack on its consulate building in Damascus, launching a massive barrage of drones and missiles which it claims hit and destroyed Israeli military targets, while Israel says they dealt only superficial damage with a few injuries. The US and its allies reportedly helped shoot down a number of the Iranian projectiles.
Just as we discussed in the lead-up to the strike, the western political-media class are acting as though this was a completely unprovoked attack launched against the innocent, Bambi-eyed victim Israel. Comments from western officials and pundits and headlines from the mass media are omitting the fact that Israel instigated these hostilities with its extreme act of aggression in Syria as much as possible. Here in Australia the Sydney Morning Herald write-up about the strike didn’t get around to informing its readers about the attack on the Iranian consulate until the tenth paragraph of the article, and said only that Iran had “accused” Israel of launching the attack because Israel has never officially confirmed it.

Trump: “Pathetic” Biden Could Cause A World War

Donald Trump blasted Joe Biden as “pathetic” Friday, warning that his incompetence could see the US dragged into a world war before the election in November.
During a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Trump commented on Biden warning that Iran is about to attack Israel.
Trump declared, “for the president of our country to actually put out a warning that he thinks that we’re going to be attacked or they’re going to be attacked. That’s pretty pathetic.”

I have been sitting here trying to figure out what to write about what we just witnessed. Just like October 7th, the shocking attack on Israel that just took place altered the course of history. This was the first time that Iran ever attacked Israel directly, and I was flooded with emails by readers that were concerned about World War III. So now that the Iranian attack is over, what will Israel do now? That is the big question. If Israel directly attacks Iran, the Iranians will inevitably respond and the conflict could spiral out of control. But if the Israelis do not strike back, they will look weak and the Iranians could feel like they will be able to get away with similar things in the future.

April 5— A month after the September 11, 2001, deadly attack on the United States, the War Hawks in the U.S. and the UK moved ahead with a plan to attack Iraq. According to an article published in the London Observer on October 14, U.S. intelligence had “a growing mass of evidence that Iraq’s President Saddam Hussein was involved” in the attacks. The article quoted an anonymous Bush administration official, who said that British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who was a leading advocate for a war against Iraq, is a “faithful ally” in the war on terror, and that if the intelligence assessment means that “we are embarking on the next Hundred Years’ War, then that’s what we are doing.”

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Seize the MSC Aries Cargo Ship

In a helicopter raid, navy special forces from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps boarded and seized the MSC Aries, the IRNA news agency reported
Iran captured the MV MSC Aries, boarding the ship off the Straits of Hormuz, a key shipping area. There is a war on the sea and in critical shipping lanes.
The owner and the corporation are Israeli.
Navy special forces from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used a helicopter to board and seize a container ship, IRNA news reported, adding that the MSC Aries was being transferred to Iranian territorial waters.
