The state of California has a new $20 minimum wage going into effect on April 1st and some fast food chains are already slashing jobs.
Who could have predicted such a thing, besides almost everyone?
This will only spur more innovation in automation. Many fast food restaurants already use automated cashiers. At some point, we will see fast food restaurants that are 100 percent automated. This new minimum wage will only bring that about faster.

The Bird flu virus has been modified in laboratories in the USA using gain-of-function to make it infectious and transmissible among mammals.
This research has been occurring for at least a decade. During that time there have been laboratory accidents, one of which is known to have happened at the end of 2019.
It is these laboratory accidents that pose a risk of infection to humans and mammals, not the naturally occurring bird flu.

In a welcome development, Tennessee has become the first state in the United States to ban geoengineering. Geoengineering is any form of deliberate intervention to alter the earth’s climate. As the so-called “climate crisis” has deepened, a scenario that was once the province of science fiction and cranks has become a frightening possibility. State and non-state actors are testing large-scale geoengineering projects with a view to implementing them soon. The actual effects of geo-engineering remain anybody’s guess.
The Tennessee House of Representatives and the state Senate have approved a bill targeting several geoengineering technologies. These include attempts to modify the amount of solar radiation reaching the earth, whether by physical barriers in the high atmosphere, through spreading reflective chemicals in the sky, or by practices like cloud-seeding, which is used to increase the amount of rainfall over a particular area. If the bill is signed by the state governor, Republican Bill Lee, it will go into effect on July 1.

Political consultant and first brother James “Jim” Biden has officially confirmed that his nephew Hunter Biden met with Patrick Ho, who the presidential son dubbed the “spy chief of China,” in 2017.
He confirmed the September 2017 meeting during his testimony before Congress in February. According to Jim, he accompanied his nephew in Hong Kong to have a meeting with Ho, an executive with energy firm CEFC China Energy. Weeks earlier, the company paid both Hunter and Jim $5 million as part of a joint enterprise to identify investments for the Chinese company.

As the calendar flipped to April this week, consumers in Canada were hit with a steep 23-percent increase in the nation’s carbon tax. The tax, originally instituted in 2018, is aimed at reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, which climate zealots argue are leading to global warming, which creates out-of-control climate change. The federal carbon tax went up to $80/tonne from $65/tonne on Monday.
Consumer anger over the increase boiled over into nationwide protests on Monday. Protesters snarled traffic in several cities, and the RCMP was called in to maintain order. Protesters temporarily blocked the Trans-Canada Highway, which links Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Protesters nationwide carried signs that read “Axe the tax” and “Trudeau must go.”

As we launched into March on The Clear View, this month’s webcast entitled “Simple Truths, Simple Solutions” will set the tone of hope for everyone. At least that is my intention. So, this week I want to take a look at a simple truth. It is one that “bad guys” can’t face, and they cannot defeat. That alone should give you a glimmer of hope.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. government has passed a new bill allowing for widespread surveillance of every American citizen — unless, of course, they happen to be carrying cocaine into the White House.
The legislation grants unprecedented powers to intelligence agencies to monitor the communications and activities of individuals across the country without obtaining a warrant. Despite pushback from citizens who believe the government ought to obtain a warrant to spy on it own citizens, lawmakers laughed heartily and passed it anyway. However, the bill does carve out an exception for anyone sneaking a little nose candy past the Secret Service and into the Oval Office.

The WEF said she is one of the top 10 women to watch in 2024, as she will become the new voice of the climate change movement.
