Multiple Buildings Collapse After Taiwan Hit By Strongest Quake In 25 Years, Tsunami Warning Issued

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 – the strongest earthquake in 25 years to hit the island- followed by a smaller quake with a magnitude of 6.5 struck off Taiwan’s eastern coast Wednesday, according to the US Geological Survey, prompting tsunami warnings in southern Japan.
The first quake, with a magnitude of 7.4, struck at 7:58pm ET (7:58am local time) and had an epicenter located about 18 kilometers (11 miles) south of the city of Hualien and shook buildings in the capital Taipei.

We all recently learned that the large particle accelerator, or Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN is set to once again smash protons together, and they’ve chosen a very special date of April 8 to do so. April 8 of course is the solar eclipse.
We’ve been reporting on CERN since 2022. CERN is the world’s largest and most powerful particle collider. It occupies a circular underground tunnel of nearly 17 miles along the Swiss-French border. Americans continue to abandon major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, opting instead to relocate to counties in the Deep South, Texas, and the Mountain West. A county-by-county analysis by property research firm ResiClub indicates that the impact of the pandemic and a rise in violent crime — particularly in Democrat-controlled cities — has resulted in an observable shift in American migration patterns over the past few years.
Based on population figures from April 1, 2020, to July 1, 2023, the property research group’s study shows a converse trend for counties in California, the Great Plains, and the inland Northeast, which witnessed some of the most notable population declines. New York City has been the hardest hit by the migration trend. The top three counties experiencing population decline — Bronx County, Kings County, and Queens County — comprise three of the Big Apple’s five boroughs.
