God’s Secret Wisdom vs. Satan’s Secret Societies

The English words “secret” and “mystery” refer to knowledge that is “hidden”, and that needs to be discovered.

When dealing with the spiritual world, as opposed to simply the physical world, the method of discovering these “mysteries” or “hidden knowledge” is often referred to as “illuminating”.

It is like entering a dark room where one’s physical eyes cannot see what is in that room due to the darkness, so a light must be turned on in order to see everything clearly.

The English word most often used to describe the process of finding or discovering these mysteries or secrets, is “wisdom.”

The Bible clearly teaches that there are two categories of “wisdom” in the world: The wisdom of the world and the ruler of this world, and the wisdom of God, as revealed in Jesus Christ.

Paul wrote:

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. (1 Corinthians 2:4-7)

The secret societies such as Freemasonry have their own definitions of light, knowledge, and spiritual truth.

Masonic truth is a tad controversial.

When you enter the lodge, Freemasons believe you seek light as you are in the darkness and blindfolded due to numerous reasons.

In the Lodge, the term ‘Light’ has a different meaning. It is all about spiritual truth and knowledge.

First, let’s talk about knowledge. In this principle, Freemasons use knowledge to improve themselves, their families, and their communities.

You have to discover that knowledge on your own. You can’t stay ignorant or unaware. It is pertinent to uphold this principle while dealing with others and in your private life.

However, the ‘Spiritual Truth’ is something that particularly clashes with the teachings of Christianity.

If you are a Christian, and if you are in the lodge, you cannot talk of Christ or consider him as God. Freemasons believe G.A.O.T.U (Great Architect of The Universe) is the true God of the universe.

Freemasonry values freedom of thought, and for this reason, there is no particular religion a man must follow to become a Freemason.

Everyone is free to worship the God he believes in and to practice his beliefs.

This reflects the tolerance of Freemasonry and also is proof that Freemasonry is not a religion in itself.

It does not dictate which God members of the fraternity must believe in. (Source.)

This is the worldly wisdom that Paul writes about in his first letter to the believers living in Corinth at the time.

Both kinds of wisdom agree that this wisdom is discovered through spiritual wisdom.

Satan, or “the Devil” is the ruler of the current world system, and Satan is a spiritual being (fallen angel).

The whole world is under the control of the evil one. (1 John 5:19)

Satan offered this world system to Jesus Christ when he came in the flesh, but Jesus refused to accept his offer.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.

“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” (Matthew 4:8-10)

So there are two currently existing spiritual kingdoms in the world we live in, one ruled by Satan, and one ruled by Jesus Christ, and these two spiritual kingdoms are only known and understood through spiritual wisdom, which unlocks the “secrets” or “mysteries” of each of these two spiritual worlds.

Satan’s kingdom is ruled from earth, and the Kingdom of God is ruled by Jesus who today is in heaven. The Spirit of God and of Jesus reveals these secrets to those who are born into the same Spirit. Everyone else who has not gone through the Spiritual rebirth, remains in the spiritual realm of Satan.

Without the Spirit of God, one cannot come into the true light, which is Jesus Christ.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John chapter 1)

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul further elaborates on this spiritual wisdom that comes from God, that those who are still in the world’s system run by Satan cannot understand.

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him?

In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?”

But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16)

What are the “Mysteries” of the Kingdom of God?

The Greek word translated into the English word “mystery” and sometimes as “secrets” is μυστήριον (mustērion) and is used 27 times in the New Testament portion of the Bible.
