Venezuelan Gangs Have Reached NYC

A few years ago, I was shocked when I saw in our streets a bunch of odd-looking people on small motorcycles doing stunts in the middle of one of our main avenues in the city I used to live in. To top it off, I found out it was a homage to some dead guy who came in a funerary car. Go figure. It was a public farewell act to a gang member. A ritual burial. There were women I could identify as Santeria priestesses wearing necklaces and stuff on the back of pickup trucks, which is “forbidden” here, theoretically. All of this spectacle is out in the open, for the consternation of us, hard-working law-abiding citizens cruising peacefully through the streets with our families. Shots in the air, as if my wonderful tropical country was some dirt hole ruled by non-Christian warlords in some God-forgotten parts of the world.

This was the exhibition of primal behaviors that are against our respectful Catholic traditions. Mind you, I´m not the most religious guy around here; I´m a sinner like my next-door neighbor. However, I do feel respect for some stuff. I could see young women dancing the reggaeton, a barrios hip-hop version with dirty language, over the coffin. There are enough videos out there on the web of how these funerary and ritual burials are. The epitome of barrio culture degradation, to my eyes.

Imagine my surprise when I saw a group of guys doing the same stunts on a motorcycle…only that this time in the streets of New York City.

How in heaven was possible for these guys to reach there when not even a professional like myself can put together the 6-7K that going by foot to the US would cost? (Spoiler: Biden’s open border!)

What´s behind all this? How is such misbehavior even allowed? I´ve seen gangs in Quads and all types of small dirt bikes without licenses not allowed on the road. They perform stunts and sometimes even crash on incoming vehicles, and nothing seems to happen. This is abnormal, and it has to have a purpose.

There is something we have to be especially aware of as a prepper.

Once the delicate equilibrium, that sweet spot of the balance between civilization and chaos that keeps a society under control, gets lost, predators will get out of their caves, starving and looking for prey.

Sadly, I have seen enough of this in every place I have set my boots on.

I don´t know how things are up there with the police, but I have seen Spanish policemen getting their backsides beaten by illegals from Morocco. French police seem to be unable to cope with the thugs disguised as migrants, too.

Venezuelan gangs have arrived in New York City. (Here’s a short clip. You don’t need a login – just X out of the part where it says that.)

Seriously, this is no joke. How NYPD reacted to the street stunts is unknown to me. Mind you, these stunts are a way to declare territory. “This is my street. I rule here”.

The only explanation I can find for these gangs spreading freely is this: there is a growing global threat disguised as political parties, offshore companies, and so on facades for members of organized crime. Crime, INC. This benefits from those activities, and clean the money they get.

The Causes of the problem

Our crisis led to widespread poverty, unemployment, and rampant crime in Venezuela. In my area, some neighbors commented that they had to go to buy groceries in groups of 10 or 15 people armed with batons. All of them on bicycles because there was no gasoline. One or two stood outside guarding the bikes, and the others would collect their list, exchanging places to go and pay with the fingerprint register once one of the first ones was already out to take his place. The uniforms patrolling the streets were very few.

The gang members have been traditionally linked to some high-profile crimes, including shootings, stabbings, robberies, and drug and weapons trafficking. No matter what country they are, it´s the same profile, accurate to almost every gang.

I can´t but wonder how this event is related to the 1980 Mariel convicts being shipped to Miami, courtesy of Mr. Castro. Murderers, rapists, drug smugglers, gang members. There were political victims too, for sure. However, this was an infamous action nevertheless that flooded Florida and transformed its social fabric forever.

You just don´t know who came into the US Southern Border. These guys are not your average lowlife, outlaw, dumb thug. Many of them have military weapons training, and they are mean. They have fought with teeth and nails against the police and armed forces, only blocks away from the Government Palace in Caracas. (July 2021 – The Luis Carlos Revete´s gang).

The poor official response, with policies like the creation of “peace zones” or “non-guns” zones in a country where civilian carry is forbidden and punished with 25 years of prison, is nothing but a bad, sad joke. Thugs don´t care a dime.

The first serious attempt to fight the gangs came in 2015; however, it was seriously questioned for reasons I can´t explain openly here. The ICC General Attorney has the documentation on his desk by now, though, and it´s just a matter of time for the truth to be out there.

As usual in the banana regimes, they blamed the “Colombia enemies”, and the political opposition. No surprises here. Organizations like Defiende Venezuela have plenty of things to say about the operations, also. There are more details on this link:

There are reasons to be worried.

According to researchers, the very “philosophy” of the criminals seems to have changed. While formerly there were wars against rival gangs, there is now some degree of consensus and they are getting used to setting up agreements and pacts. They are getting more organized and disciplined. The gang history in Caracas began as early as the beginning of the 60s, once the government of Gral. Marcos Pérez Jiménez was finished and the socialist gangsters disguised as “democratic” parties took over the power, and agreed to alternate the execution of this power. The danger is so high with these new gangs, that the pragmatism and business-like decisions they exhibit make them a real threat to any society. They´re indeed a new school of crime, now roaming the streets in one of your major cities. Their leaders now easily reach the age of 40, which means the mutation they suffered worked in their favour, and their operational context is different.

Don´t underestimate these guys. Many of them may be illiterate, but they´re quite street-smart, indeed, and they can make managerial decisions with extreme accuracy, like using inside intel before executing an “express-kidnapping,” for instance.
