In a shocking turn of events, Lebanon was rocked by a series of simultaneous explosions on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in at least 9 deaths and approximately 3,000 injuries. The incident involved the detonation of electronic pagers used primarily by members of Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group and political party.

The explosions occurred around 3:30 PM local time, affecting various regions across Lebanon. The southern suburbs of Beirut, known as a Hezbollah stronghold, experienced the highest concentration of casualties. However, injuries were reported throughout the country, including northern and southern regions.
