The International Court of Justice will issue its ruling Friday, Jan. 26, in the case brought by South Africa, which charges Israel with violating the provisions against genocide adopted in 1948. Will the judges rule on the merits of the case presented by S. Africa? Or will they bend to pressure from the TransAtlantic powers, which support Israel? It is not only Israel on trial, but the idea that justice can be obtained through legal proceedings before the World Court — in other words, does natural law prevail, or must mankind submit to the imperial mandate that “might make right”?
