170 Million Americans Drink Radioactive Tap Water — Are You One of Them?

According to a new bombshell report from the Environmental Working Group (EWG), tap water for more than 170 million Americans contains radioactive elements that may increase the risk of cancer. The group examined 50,000 public water systems throughout the United States and found from 2010 to 2015, more than 22,000 water utilities reported radium in treated water.

Radiation in tap water poses serious health threats, particularly for children, and women during pregnancy.

The most common radioactive element the EWG found was radium. Studies show that radium above the EPA legal limit may cause depression of the immune system, anemia, cataracts, fractured teeth, and of course cancer.

Radium is a naturally occurring radioactive element that resides on the earth’s crust. The EWG emphasizes that higher radium levels in tap water occur when uranium mining or oil and gas drilling exploration companies disturb the earth’s geology. The process triggers radiation called “ionizing because it can release electrons from atoms and molecules, and turn them into ions,” explained the EWG. The EPA warns that all ionizing radiation is carcinogenic, implying that radium above the EPA limit is all too prevalent in America and it could be causing lots of cancer.

In 158 public water systems serving some 276,000 Americans in 27 states, the EWG found that radium exceeded the federal legal ceiling for radium-226 and radium-228.

The EWG’s Tap Water Database covers six radioactive contaminants, including radium, radon, and uranium. The database shows radium-226 and radium-228 are the two most common forms of radiation in every state.

The EWG expresses frustration with the 41-year old federal drinking water standards that are not designed to protect human health. New public health goals were set in 2006 by the California Office of Environmental Hazard Assessment, but have been widely overlooked by the federal government.

Federal drinking water standards are based on the cost and feasibility of removing contaminants, not scientific determinations of what is necessary to fully protect human health. And like many EPA tap water standards, the radium limits are based on decades-old research rather than the latest science.

The EPA’s tap water limits on the combined level of the radium isotopes and the combined level of alpha and beta particles were set in 1976. They were retained in 2000, when the uranium standard was established.

To more accurately assess the current threat of radiation in U.S. tap water, we compared levels of the contaminants detected by local utilities not to the EPA’s 41-year-old legal limits, but to the public health goals set in 2006 by the respected and influential California Office of Environmental Hazard Assessment.

California public health goals are not legally enforceable limits, but guidelines for levels of contaminants that pose only a minimal risk – usually defined as no more than one expected case of cancer in every million people who drink the water for a lifetime.

California standards are hundreds of times more stringent than the current EPA limits for radium-226 and radium-228. If the federal government adopted the new tests, it would mean that no more than one case of cancer per million people per water supply. That would likely cause a public health emergency across the United States, but apparently, that is something the government has no intentions in doing in the intermediate time. So, for now, Americans will enjoy a higher risk of cancer one glass of water at a time, because, perhaps, cancer is very profitable for pharmaceutical companies, or the country is just flat broke and cannot afford new infrastructure.

Vaccines use adjuvants to inflame the immune system and force it to respond to pathogens. The most popular adjuvant used in vaccines are aluminum salts. As Dr. Chris Exley demonstrates, after a vaccine is administered, immune-responsive cells quickly travel to the injection site and load up their cytoplasm with the antigen and aluminum salts from the vaccine. The immune-responsive cells then travel throughout the body, taking aluminum cations to unpredictable places, including the brain. When the vesicles undergo acidification, they will dissolve the enclosed aluminum salt. Biologically reactive A13+ aluminum cations rupture the membrane, entering the cell cytoplasm and causing cell death.

This is the first problem with vaccines; the aluminum that augments an immune response is traveling throughout the body and causing cell death, inflammation, and aluminum toxicity throughout the person. If you’re convinced vaccines are safe, you don’t understand the toxicity of compounding aluminum cations at the cellular level and the potential damage that occurs to the brain and immune system when aluminum-based vaccines are injected.

Vaccines use preservatives. One of the preservatives in some vaccines is a form of inorganic mercury called thimerosal. Researchers have studied thimerosal exposure on mammalian brains. While thimerosal clears from the brain quicker than organic forms of mercury, it also concentrates there more rapidly, leading to harmful exposure amounts. A laboratory investigation of GlaxoSmithKline’s Flulaval flu vaccine found mercury at 51 ppm, or 25,000 times the legal maximum for drinking water regulated by the EPA. Mercury is one of the worst preservatives to directly inject into the body, bypassing the gastrointestinal filters, microbiome, and the gut wall. When this vaccine is recommended for pregnant women, is the fetus protected? Absolutely not. The developing infant can be poisoned for life due to the slightest exposure to mercury in the womb. If you’re convinced vaccines are safe, you do not understand the toxicity of mercury or the dangers of putting a brain-damaging element into the muscles and bloodstream without normal body filtration.

Texas researcher Dawn Richardson led a study at an Austin morgue investigating cases of sudden infant death syndrome. They found high concentrations of SIDS deaths at 2, 4, and 6 months, the same time the pediatricians schedule multiple vaccine doses for vulnerable infants. Will there be an investigation to see if these statistics replicate at morgues across the country? If so, is SIDS just a vague term to cover up the deaths of babies who are the victims of failed vaccine policy.

Even though polio vaccines are advertised as saving lives, the sad truth is that polio vaccines are causing deadly paralysis in the Middle East. Thirty-three children were crippled after receiving the polio vaccine in Syria. Despite the announcement in August 2017, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) called on more polio vaccines to stop what the vaccines started. If you are convinced vaccines are safe, don’t realize that an unpredictable number of children are sacrificed just so the remaining children can supposedly be “protected.”

This flu season is already off to a record-setting beginning, and many believe that it could ultimately be the worst that we have seen in decades.  In fact, it has been reported that if we stay on this current pace that this could truly be the worst flu season in more than 50 years.  As you will see below, the CDC is reporting widespread flu activity from coast to coast, and the death toll has already crossed 100.  Here in the United States, flu season usually begins in October and ends in May, and so we still have a long way to go before it is over.

Normally the mainstream media tries very hard to keep the public calm about these things, but even the Washington Post admits that we are having “a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad flu season”…

Flu is widespread in 46 states, according to reports to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Nationally, as of mid-December, at least 106 people had died of the infectious disease.

Usually a flu outbreak is centered in one portion of the country, but this one is different.  According to the CDC, this outbreak is affecting the entire nation, and the number of cases climbed another 5.8 percent within the past week…

“Flu is everywhere in the US right now,” said Dr. Dan Jernigan, director of the CDC’s influenza branch. “This is the first year we’ve had the entire continental US at the same level (of flu activity) at the same time.” It has been an early flu season that seems to be peaking now, he said, with a 5.8% increase in laboratory-confirmed cases this week over last.

Most people that get the flu don’t die, but it is very important for all of us to understand that this is a very serious outbreak.

In California, things have already gotten so bad that some hospitals have started to run out of Tamiflu

California has been particularly hard hit, with at least 27 deaths of people under 65 attributed to the flu, according to reports. As the number of cases continues to climb there, hospitals are beginning to run out of Tamiflu, the anti-viral medication used to treat the illness.

If you live in an area where the flu is running rampant, it may be wise to avoid public areas for a while.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of us cannot do that.  Most Americans have work or school commitments that cannot be avoided, and the flu can often spread very rapidly in those environments.

Back during the bird flu scare a few years ago, some schools actually closed for a time, and we are starting to see that happen again.  For example, one school down in Texas had a “flu day” on Friday…

A school in San Antonio will be closed Friday for a “flu day” amid an outbreak of influenza.

“While closed, our school will be launching a Super Clean of each classroom for the health of our faculty, staff and students,” San Antonio Christian School posted on Facebook.

Texas has been especially hard-hit by the flu this season, topping Walgreens’ Flu Index, which compiles data from prescriptions used to treat the virus’ symptoms.

Every year the authorities relentlessly promote the flu shot, but large numbers of people that got the flu shot this year are getting sick anyway.

Sadly, the flu shot is not likely to protect you from the very powerful strains of the flu that are dominant this flu season.  In fact, the experts are telling us that the flu shot was only “around 10 percent” effective during the flu season in Australia this year…

U.S. flu specialists say they won’t completely know how powerful this present season’s antibody is until the point that the season is finished. In any case, Australia’s experience recommends viability was just around 10 percent. In the United States, it is 40 to 60 percent powerful in a normal season. Immunizations are less defensive if strains are not the same as anticipated and if sudden transformations happen.

Hypercholesterolemia is the condition of having excessive amounts of cholesterol in the body. This, in turn, can lead to alterations in lipoprotein transport and metabolism. Moreover, having a high amount of cholesterol is a risk factor for atherosclerosis, which builds up plaque in the arteries. Cholesterol alters a body’s vascular structure and function by accumulating within the lining of the vascular wall, thereby disrupting endothelial action, causing lesions and occlusions.

Pomegranate extract found to help mitigate the effects of a high fat diet; when combined with inulin, it also lowers cholesterol

Sometimes the sum is greater than its parts, and scientists have found this to be the case when it comes to the cholesterol-lowering effects of pomegranate and inulin. Both have been found to lower cholesterol individually, but when taken together, they become a force to be reckoned with.

Researchers already knew from animal studies that the pomegranate extract, with its abundance of polyphenols, has the power to alleviate the metabolic alterations that are caused by a diet that is high in fat. The polysaccharide inulin has been known to have a similarly positive effect on cholesterol and lipid metabolism.

In research that was published in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, scientists divided male mice into four groups at six to seven weeks of age. All of them were placed on a diet that was high in fat and sucrose. The control group was not given any type of supplementation. The second group received a PomX supplement, which is made of pomegranate extract, while the third group was given inulin. A fourth group was supplemented with both inulin and PomX.

Four weeks into these diets, the scientists noted that those mice who were supplementing with both inulin and PomX had far lower levels of hepatic and serum total cholesterol than those who took either of the supplements individually. PomX on its own raised the gene expression of some key regulators of the body’s bile acid synthesis pathways and brought liver triglyceride levels down, whereas inulin did not affect serum or liver triglyceride levels.

However, inulin by itself did lower the gene expression of the key regulators for cholesterol synthesis and higher fecal elimination of the the total bile acids as well as neutral sterols. Moreover, it was only those mice who took the combination of inulin and PomX who saw reduced lipid and liver weights.

According to the scientists, this is the first study to come up with detailed findings regarding the enhanced cholesterol-reducing effects of the combination of inulin and pomegranate extract.

Healthy alternative to statins

This is good news for people who are struggling to get their cholesterol under control. Statins are often prescribed to help people lower their cholesterol, but these drugs carry a host of highly undesirable side effects with them. Some of the problems people can encounter from statin use include muscle weakness, memory loss, brain fog, dementia, and some types of cancer. They suppress your body’s immune system, making it hard for you to fight off infections, and they also boost your risk of diabetes as well as obesity. In fact, it has been approved by German authorities as a mild sedative, and the FDA classifies it as “generally recognized as safe.”

While there are many natural remedies that can make a difference when it comes to anxiety, the researchers noted that several of the herbs that some people take for anxiety are ineffective, including skullcap, lemon balm, maiden hair and hops.

POPULATION CONTROL ALERT: Ibuprofen Is A Tool Of Agenda 21!

A study published Monday detailed the effects of the drug Ibuprofen on male fertility. The drug was shown to cause a hormonal condition in young men that is linked to infertility.

According to CNNa study published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that when taking ibuprofen in doses commonly used by athletes, a small sample of young men developed a hormonal condition that typically begins, if at all, during middle age. This condition is linked to reduced fertility, which some say makes ibuprofen perfect for Agenda 21’s population control.

Joe Joseph of The Daily Sheeple says he’s been vindicated. “I feel vindicated today! A couple months back I put out a video about how ibuprofen could be a tool for Agenda 21,” said Joseph.

Joseph’s take on Agenda 21 is accurate. According to the United Nations website, Agenda 21 is meant to be “sustainable development.” But of course, it’s dictated by the elites, and one goal is to concentrate the population into megacities. People crammed together in tight quarters are easier to control and manipulate than those living more rurally.

“We’ve seen a lot of issues with this class of drugs known as NSAIDs,” says Joseph. “Sold under brands such as Advil or Motrin to help reduce swelling; to help reduce pain in people, you know, an over the counter drug. And the Consumer Health Product Association, a trade group that represents manufacturers of over the counter medications,  says that [they] ‘support and encourage continued research and promotes ongoing consumer education to help safe use of over the counter medicines.’ And they say the safety of active ingredients in these products has been well documented and supported for decades by scientific studies and real-world use.”

But what about all of those who die using NSAIDs? Is that the “real-world use” that is being referred to? NSAIDs were actually responsible for more deaths in 2012 than opioid overdoses, according to numbers gathered on Practical Pain Management’s website.

ANOTHER study confirms the detrimental effects of water fluoridation on the IQs of children

Another study has added to the growing body of evidence that links the fluoride found in water with lowered intelligence quotients (IQ) in children.

A study, which was published last year, confirmed the dangers that water fluoridation has when it is consumed by children, particularly on their IQ. Not only that, fluoridated water was also shown to adversely affect the cognitive ability of babies when this is consumed by their mothers during pregnancy.

A total of 299 mother-child pairs in Mexico were examined as part of the study. Researchers looked into the link between fluoride levels in the urine of pregnant mothers and the IQ test results of their children. The results of the study revealed that toddlers born from mothers with higher fluoride levels often had lower tests compared to those whose mothers had lower fluoride levels.

Morteza Bashash, one of the authors of the study, explained: “In this study, higher prenatal fluoride exposure, in the general range of exposures reported for other general population samples of pregnant women and nonpregnant adults, was associated with lower scores on tests of cognitive function in the offspring.”

In 2012, a study on the impact of fluoride “on the neurological development of children” was published by Harvard School of Public Health. While the study was mostly disregarded by legacy media (e.g. print media, radio, television, etc.) it gained traction when it was shared on social media in the following years and it spread awareness about the dangers of fluoridated water and how to avoid it. (Related: More science confirms fluoride exposure damages brains and lowers IQs in newborns.)

The chemical sodium fluoride, commonly known as fluoride, has been classified as a neurotoxin, along with arsenic, lead, and mercury. However, according to an article that appeared in the Waking Times, the chemical is still being added to America’s water supply “for what some claim protects the health of our teeth.”

Fluoride-related health risks

To the unaware, the results may be shocking, but this isn’t anything new to anyone who has read up on the dangers of fluoride — at least 50 studies have examined the connection between fluoride and decreased IQ in humans. In addition to this, there are at least 45 studies pointing out a  “lessened cognitive ability in animals” due to fluoride exposure. While evidence like this has persuaded a handful of health authorities worldwide to remove fluoride from public drinking water, it could take more than data from studies to ensure that politicians are held accountable for their involvement in the propagation of this health risk.

In other studies, researchers have determined the link between fluoride and diseases such as arthritis, cancer, dental fluorosis, diabetes, Down’s syndrome, and osteoporosis. This link is possibly due to fluoride variants such as hydrofluorosilicic acid, “a chemical byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer and aluminum industries.” The article opines that this chemical is probably added to public water not out of concern for public health but to protect industries from lawsuits regarding environmental damage.

Dr. J. William Hirzy, Senior Chemist at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), expressed his disbelief and said, “If this stuff (hydrofluorosilicic acid) gets out into the air, it’s a pollutant; if it gets into the river, it’s a pollutant; if it gets into the lake, it’s a pollutant; but if it goes right straight into your drinking water system, it’s not a pollutant. That’s amazing.”

Tips to minimize fluoride exposure

To avoid the dangers of fluoridated water, follow the tips listed below:

  • Do not drink fluoridated water – On a daily basis, tap water consumption is the main cause of fluoride exposure consumption for individuals who reside in areas that allow the fluoridation of water. Avoid fluoride through these three options:
    • Use water filters
    • Drink spring water
    • Try water distillation

You are being conned: Former Big Food ad exec unveils marketing tricks used by food manufacturers that persuade you to “super-size it”

Many believe in the saying “bigger is better”, and it’s this adage that has become a common marketing ploy in the food industry. According to former McDonald’s advertising executive Dan Parker, this is but one of many tricks being used to fool people into eating supersized food portions. Another one is to reduce the size of certain foods without changing the price, leading people to view the family-sized versions being better in terms of value.

Speaking to the DailyMail.co.uk, Parker cited two examples that demonstrated these maneuvers. The first was the Mars Galaxy chocolate advert that featured a computer-generated version of British actress Audrey Hepburn. In the commercial, Hepburn chooses to sit at the back seat of a car instead of next to a male admirer so she could consume a large chocolate bar by herself. “This creates the illusion that a 100g or so chocolate bar is a single portion for someone as glamorous, slender and admired as ‘Audrey’,” said Parker.

The second was a Walkers commercial starring Gary Lineker, former English footballer turned sports broadcaster. Lineker is visited at a hospital by his children. He speaks glowingly of various chips found in his large bag of Walkers MixUps, leading his children to incapacitate him further to steal his chips. Parker explained that both of the commercials “promote hefty portion sizes.”

He added that these maneuvers are how food manufacturers are sustaining the obesity epidemic. In fact, in the same article, it’s revealed that single chocolate bar sales in the U.K went down by five percent (approximately 130 million Pound sterling). Consequently, the sales of both 100g chocolate bars and share bags went up by 7.6 percent (420 million Pound sterling) and 2.7 percent (300 million Pound sterling), respectively.

Parker went on further to compare the food industry to Big Tobacco, the largest tobacco industry companies that have since become known for their deceptive advertising. “I think what the food industry does now will define where it lands. If it behaves like tobacco it will end up being treated like tobacco. And I think it is behaving like tobacco,” Parker remarked. As such, Parker believes that combating the obesity crisis lies in the regulation of junk food advertising and proper food portioning. In addition to cutting down total food consumption by 10 to 20 percent, people should also reduce their ingestion of unhealthy food by 20 to 30 percent. Never mind the food industry-funded research crowing about how the lack of exercise is responsible for the rising cases of obesity.

“It’s all about deflecting it away from being about what we eat. The very inconvenient truth that nobody wants to talk about is that to resolve the obesity crisis, we need to eat less food. And we need to particularly eat less unhealthy food which generally comes in a packet and has a logo on it and is generally owned by a very large multinational corporation,” he said.

Do YOU know what selenium is for? Scientists have discovered it protects brain neurons from depression and cell death

An animal study published in the journal Cell revealed that selenium helps prevent neurons from dying, demonstrating the element’s central role in mitigating cell death. A team of researchers at the Institute of Developmental Genetics (IDG) at Helmholtz Zentrum München in Germany examined the correlation between the selenium-containing enzyme GPX4 and a novel type of cell death called ferroptosis as part of the study.

The research team observed that replacing the selenium content in GPX4 with sulfur did not improve the animal models’ life span. According to the scientists, mouse models with sulfur-based GPX4 enzyme did not survive for more than three weeks. The animals’ shorter lifespan was largely due in part to neurological complications, the researchers explained. The experts also observed that a distinct subpopulation of specialized brain neurons were lost during the postnatal development when selenium-containing GPX4 was not present.

“Our study demonstrates for the first time that selenium is an essential factor for the postnatal development of a specific type of interneurons. Selenium-containing GPX4 protects these specialized neurons from oxidative stress and from ferroptotic cell death,” researcher Dr. José Pedro Friedmann Angeli said in a press release.

Studies: Selenium also mitigates depression, brain loss

Previous studies have also demonstrated that selenium helps improve brain health and effectively stave off related conditions. For instance, a 2014 study published in the Journal of Nutrition revealed that adequate selenium levels may prevent the onset of depressive symptoms and negative mood. The study was carried out by researchers at the University of Otago in New Zealand.

The research team pooled data on 978 young adults aged 17 to 25 years old as part of the study. The volunteers were instructed to accomplish a depression questionnaire and monitor their mood daily for two weeks. The participants’ selenium levels were determined through a series of blood tests. The health experts found that volunteers who had extremely low selenium levels were at an increased risk of depressive symptoms and poorer mood. However, the research team noted that adequate selenium intake may mitigate the risk of depression.

“Our strongest finding was that young adults with the lowest selenium concentrations reported the most depressive symptoms. Although we did not test the physiological mechanisms, other research shows that oxidative damage to the brain and nervous system contributes to the development of depression. Adequate selenium intake is required for optimal antioxidant defenses to protect body tissues from oxidative damage, through glutathione peroxidise, which is a key antioxidant enzyme,” study leader Dr. Tamlin Conner told Medical Xpress online.

Another study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology showed that selenium intake may reduce the odds of brain loss associated with aging. Health experts conducted a cross-sectional survey of cognitive function in rural elderly Chinese as part of the research. The CDC is warning Americans to prepare for nuclear war.

If you’ve been watching the news for years the way many of us have, you probably know that by the time the government starts warning you about something, it’s just about to happen.

For example, you may recall the Ebola scare back in 2014. First, the CDC released a warning on Sept. 15th, then just two weeks later, the first case in the US was confirmed in Texas. It wasn’t by any great master planning that it didn’t turn into a massive epidemic through a series of terrifying errors. It was sheer dumb luck.

The Center for Disease Control recently announced that they’d be giving a presentation on January 16th to help better prepare the public for nuclear war. The announcement reads:

While a nuclear detonation is unlikely, it would have devastating results and there would be limited time to take critical protection steps. Despite the fear surrounding such an event, planning and preparation can lessen deaths and illness.  For instance, most people don’t realize that sheltering in place for at least 24 hours is crucial to saving lives and reducing exposure to radiation. While federal, state, and local agencies will lead the immediate response efforts, public health will play a key role in responding.

Join us for this session of Grand Rounds to learn what public health programs have done on a federal, state, and local level to prepare for a nuclear detonation. Learn how planning and preparation efforts for a nuclear detonation are similar and different from other emergency response planning efforts. (source)

Some of the presenters are Dan Sosin, CDC’s deputy director and chief medical officer in the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response; Robert Whitcomb, the chief of the radiation studies branch at the CDC’s National Center for Environment Health; and Captain Michael Noska, the radiation safety officer and senior advisor for health physics at the FDA.

The event will be held at the Alexander D.Langmuir Auditorium Roybal Campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology. If you want to go, you have to get security clearance ahead of time.

Non-CDC staff must have prior security clearance. US citizens must submit a request to the Grand Rounds Team.  A US state-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, US passport) is required.
Non-US citizens must submit their requests 20 days prior to the session to the Grand Rounds Team, and additional information will be required. (source)

How to beat stage 4 cancer: For one man, going vegan and quitting chemo saved his life

Given only weeks to live, one man defied the odds and beat stage 4 cancer, thanks to a change in diet.

In an article featured in the Daily Mail, Rob Mooberry recounted how he was rushed to the hospital with a perforated colon back in July 2012. Scans later revealed that he had colorectal cancer which had already metastasized to other parts of his body, such as the bowels, lymph nodes, and liver.

It was then that doctors told the father-of-two that he would need to have a colostomy bag installed, as well as additional surgery in the gut. Furthermore, he would have to undergo two rounds of radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

The first round of treatment was able to reduce his cancer enough to be downgraded to 3A; however, this left him so weak and feeling worse about himself that he said he “couldn’t take it anymore.” He proceeded to look for ways to flush the chemicals out of his body before starting another round of treatment.

It was then that he started a plant-based, alkaline diet, with his vegetarian wife Amanda, after learning from research that indicated sugar and processed food increased tumors. The results of the switch were clear in the next scan – his cancer had shrunk by almost 80 percent.

Currently, he is in his fifth year of being cancer-free and raising two 20-month old twins, as well as running a small cancer charity aside from his bartending job to help other patients.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Mooberry admits that the new-found attention he gained after his story became viral is new to him, particularly him being touted as a vegan advocate. “I’m not standing on my soapbox saying everyone needs to go plant-based and vegan,” he said. “But if you’re going to ask me what worked for me, I’ll tell you: This diet.”

He also recalled getting the shock of his life upon hearing the news, since no one in his family had a history of cancer. Additionally, he was already into fitness – as he ran regularly and maintain a lean protein diet.

Prior to his diagnosis, Mooberry said that he had already been experiencing symptoms in his body – such as bloating and blood in the stool, as well as a change in bowel movements. But he decided to ignore the symptoms.

That was until July 2012, when he was hospitalized due to a “searing pain in his abdomen.” Doctors discovered that this was because of a micro perforation in his colon, which did not allow anything to pass by it. They also discovered that the cancer had spread in his body, which may have been lingering for over two years. Still, Mooberry persisted and fought the disease and began the arduous process of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

“It was horrible,” he recalled. “I had to take time off work, I had no energy, I felt sick. That kind of medicine puts so many chemicals in your body.”

After his diagnosis, he committed to becoming as healthy as possible, mainly due to his developing relationship with his new wife at the time, Amanda.
