Bills introduced in the Texas House and Senate would create a state-issued, gold-backed digital currency. Enactment of this legislation would create an option for people to transact business in sound money, set the stage to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money and create a viable alternative to a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

Jon Voight is one of the most famous movie actors in America. He is also an open conservative and Trump supporter.
In a recent video, he called out the Biden administration as a joke and urged Americans to support Trump in 2024.
It’s an inspiring message.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador sent a letter to Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Tuesday asking Beijing to help “control” fentanyl imports, in particular requesting information on manufacturers and shipments.
López Obrador, commonly known by his initials AMLO, read the letter he sent to Xi to reporters during a press conference on Tuesday. The bulk of the letter was dedicated to condemning the United States and denying that Mexico participates in the manufacturing of any fentanyl.

April 4, 2023 will live on as the day that America officially became a banana republic. We became a nation that persecutes and prosecutes political foes in the most public and propagandous way possible in order for one party to shout down the other. Wrongthink is officially a crime now.
Sure, they’ll get you for some other infraction. Sort of like how Al Capone went down for tax evasion and not his other crimes. But make no mistake, if you don’t follow the rules, you, too, are guilty of thoughtcrime.

In a harrowing incident, 17-year-old Dalaneo Martin was fatally shot by a U.S. Park Police officer in Northeast D.C. last month, sparking outrage among the victim’s family and the community. The police have released video footage of the tragic event, which unfolded on March 18 after officers found the teenager asleep in what they suspected to be a stolen vehicle. Rather than using standard de-escalation techniques, officers attempted to apprehend Martin, leading to a chaotic situation that ended with his death.

A lot of news competing for our attention – financial, political and otherwise – as a new week unfolds:
But here’s the story I want to highlight today:
by Kurt Schlichter, Townhall:
Conservatives whose reaction to the banana republic shenanigans of a leftist DA in a leftist city using a ridiculous perversion of the law to take out an enemy of the leftists is anything less than a desire to deal the pain right back are worse than useless. They are a menace. Their channeling of Kevin Bacon in “Animal House” empowers our enemies to ruin our country – and us. If you love the rule of law, if you want to bring back our precious norms and hold to our precious principles, then it’s time to go Full Truman and nuke ‘em ‘til they glow.
by Kevin Downey Jr, PJ Media:
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio took the stand and testified in the federal trial of Prakazrel “Pras” Michel, founder of the hip hop band Fugees, and his alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme that included a huge — and illegal — donation to Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

How long before it’s changed to ‘Spider-them’?
Creators of upcoming feature film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have snuck in a transgender flag emblazoned with the words “Protect trans kids.”
The message appears for a split second, almost invisible in the background.

The Biden administration is selling its fiscal 2024 Transportation Security Administration budget request to the opposition-held House of Representatives, which will largely ignore the document.
Testifying late last month during a House joint Appropriation Committee and Homeland Security Subcommittee hearing, TSA administrator David Pekoske made the case for more ID authentication infrastructure.
But the numbers mentioned – almost all budget increases, not budget totals — were small compared to proposed spending boosts on staff.
