Konstantin Vorontsov, Russia’s Foreign Ministry Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department Deputy Director, stated that increased arms shipments to Ukraine could turn the Russo-Ukrainian conflict into a direct NATO vs. Russia conflict.
Vorontsov made these comments at the UN General Assembly First Committee meeting held on October 25, 2022.

“The US increases the pumping of Ukraine with weapons, provide it with intelligence, which not only prolongs the hostilities and causes new casualties, but also brings the situation closer to the dangerous threshold of a direct military clash between Russia and NATO,” he stated.
“Following Washington’s lead, the military-political leadership of Ukraine started talking about not only a necessity of our country’s defeat on the battlefield, but also its consecutive dismembering and elimination. In these circumstances we were unable to ignore the will of the people of Donbass and the liberated territories of Ukraine, who face reprisal, should Kiev’s militants return,” Vorontsov continued.
Indeed, the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has entered a unique gray zone. What started out as a proxy war, has now transformed into a conflict that has gradually put both Russia and the Collective West on a collision course.
The copious amounts of military aid and intelligence the Collective West has provided to Ukraine has effectively made it a co-belligerent in this conflict.
Add in the constant media fearmongering directed against Russia, and you have a full-fledged information war being fought as well. In the US’s case, it has no business getting caught up in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. This is a glorified border dispute that should be sorted out by Russia and Ukraine.
