As deployment has increased, so has antagonism to it (see 1, 2, 3). Legislators and residents don\u2019t want towers where there is no wireless service gap.<\/p>\n<p><!--more Read More--> TRUTH LIVES on at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/5g-in-new-york\/\">Environmental Health Trust<\/a>\u00a0for continuing to update efforts to limit or stop 5G expansion in the Big Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Theodora\u00a0 Scarato, executive director of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/about\/board\/\">Environmental Health Trust<\/a>\u00a0has presented information as well as several others to some of the Community Boards regarding the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/5g-4g-3g-small-cell-tower-radiation-health-effects-science\/\">scientific research<\/a>\u00a0and the lack of up to date regulations for the radiation exposure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New York Community Board Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Community Board 8<\/strong>\u00a0(includes areas of Upper East Side of Manhattan and Roosevelt Island) passed a\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/CB8-Transportation-committee-5G-Moratorium-Resolution-.pdf\">5G moratorium.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Board 9:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Disaproval-of-5G-Installations-New-York-Community-Board-9.pdf\"><strong>Letter RE: Disapproval of new Link5ZG Kiosks within MCB9<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Manhattan CB5 (Times Square)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 1\/5\/23 \u2013 Parks &amp; Public Spaces \u2014 1\/12\/23 \u2013 Full Board passed a moratorium.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CB9 West Harlem:\u00a0<\/strong>1\/9\/23 Health &amp; Environment Committee resolved to pass similar resolution as Upper East Side to the Executive Committee and on 1\/11\/23- Executive Committee passed with some changes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brooklyn CB10 Bay Ridge\/Fort Hamilton:\u00a0<\/strong>1\/10\/23 \u2013 Communications &amp; Public Relations Committee passed a disapproval.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Queens CB2\u00a0(Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and Northern Corona)<\/strong>\u00a01\/19\/23 Link5G Public Meeting \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/queenscb3.cityofnewyork.us\/board-meeting-recordings\/\">https:\/\/queenscb3.cityofnewyork.us\/board-meeting-recordings\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manhattan CB2 (Greenwich Village, Little Italy,\u00a0SoHo,\u00a0NoHo, Hudson Square, Chinatown, and the Gansevoort Market)\u00a0\u2014 \u00a0<\/strong>1\/19\/23\u00a0\u2014 Full Board \u2014 passed a resolution for a moratorium in residential and landmark areas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/January-16-2023-Letter-on-5G-Poles-from-New-York-Manhattan-Borough-President-to-Matthew-C.-Fraser-Chief-Technology-Officer-Office-of-Technology-Innovation-of-The-NYC-Office-of-Technology-Innovation.pdf\">January 16, 2023 Letter on 5G Poles from New York Manhattan Borough President to Matthew C. Residents have reported not adequately being informed about the placement of 5G towers in their neighborhoods, and many have questioned specific site selections and the fundamental need for the new towers taking up vital public space.
