The results showed she had 1,254,809 votes to Hamadeh\u2019s 1,254,529 votes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will say once again that I\u2019m thankful to everyone who took their time to vote, and democracy is truly a team sport,\u201d Mayes said after the results were announced. \u201cI\u2019m thankful for my campaign, transition and legal teams. I\u2019m excited to get to work as your next Attorney General and vow to be your Lawyer for the People.
