Katie Hobbs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Sarah Arnold, <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/saraharnold\/2022\/12\/16\/arizona-judge-approves-kari-lakes-requests-to-examine-midterm-ballots-n2617259\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Townhall<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"width: 35%;\" src=\"https:\/\/media.townhall.com\/cdn\/hodl\/2022\/300\/7554e257-b594-4974-ad65-91932ed8496a-1000x0.png\" alt=\"\" \/> A Maricopa County judge in Arizona granted Republican Kari Lake\u2019s request to inspect ballots as she contests the midterm results against Democrat Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Peter Thompson approved three out of four requests from the Republican, including to review 50 random &#8220;ballot-on-demand&#8221; printed ballots that were cast on Election Day, 50 random early ballots cast from &#8220;six separate Maricopa County batches,&#8221; and 50 random ballot-on-demand printed ballots that were spoil-marked.<\/p>\n<p><!--more Read More--> TRUTH LIVES on at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The judge rejected Lake\u2019s request to have 50 randomly selected early ballots\u2019 envelopes inspected.<\/p>\n<p>The inspection is scheduled to begin on Tuesday of next week.<\/p>\n<p>The judge also ordered for the inspection to be conducted in a manner that &#8220;does not in any way interfere with any ongoing recount of the 2022 election results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lake\u2019s campaign praised the judge\u2019s ruling, saying they are \u201cdelighted\u201d they have been granted the inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Lake still has not conceded to Hobbs, claimed just last week that \u201cif the process was illegitimate then so are the results.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On election day, roughly 20 percent of tabulation machines in Maricopa County malfunctioned, causing voters to wait in line for hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am thankful to Judge Peter Thompson and his team for the work they do and we are confident that given the opportunity, we will expose this election for the sham it was,\u201d Lake said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, rumor has it that Lake could be the running mate for former President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/politics\/kari-lake-interested-donald-trump-running-mate-source-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">source<\/a>, Lake recently traveled to Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago residence to attempt to persuade him to enlist her as his sidekick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe she wants to be his running mate,&#8221; the source said, adding \u201cshe is working the deal.
