After his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2022\/12\/07\/disney-ceo-bob-iger-those-of-us-in-positions-to-influence-laws-shape-culture-have-an-extra-responsibility-to-push-gun-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comments<\/a>\u00a0at a gun control event, though, one can safely assume the war is back on.<\/p>\n<p>Iger joined former President Barack Obama and liberal Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey at the Sandy Hook Promise event in New York on Tuesday. The occasion marked the 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of the Sandy Hook\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sandy_Hook_Elementary_School_shooting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Massacre<\/a>\u00a0in Newtown, Connecticut where 20 innocent children and six adults were murdered.<\/p>\n<p><!--more Read More--> TRUTH LIVES on at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">https:\/\/sgtreport.tv\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Iger began his speech stressing his role as a family man and CEO. \u201cAs a grandfather, as a father, as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, I believe there is no greater or more important task than ensuring the safety and well-being of our children,\u201d Iger said.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/politics-news\/bob-iger-gun-control-1235276742\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">continued<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Those of us who are in positions to affect change, whether it\u2019s by influencing laws of shaping culture or supporting organizations on the frontlines, I think we have an extra responsibility<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bob Iger Speaks Out About Gun Control Responsibility On Sandy Hook Anniversary <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y0KmBF8Vbk\">https:\/\/t.co\/y0KmBF8Vbk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/THR\/status\/1600343739641352192?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 7, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Obama also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/politics-news\/bob-iger-gun-control-1235276742\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spoke<\/a>\u00a0at the event and spewed his usual demagoguery. He lamented his \u201cbiggest disappointment\u201d in office was Congress failing to pass gun control legislation. Obama went on to whine about Congress bowing to the \u201cgun lobby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From the former \u201cfirearm\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/us-arms-industry-hails-obama-as-unofficial-salesman-of-the-year\/articleshow\/4453583.cms?from=mdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salesman<\/a>\u00a0of the year\u201d:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps the most bitter disappointment of my time in office, the closest I came to being cynical, was the utter failure of Congress to respond in the immediate aftermath of the Sandy Hook shootings. To see almost the entire GOP, but also a decent number of Democrats equivocate and hem and haw and filibuster and ultimately bend yet again to pressure from the gun lobby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite his previous comments vowing political neutrality, no one should be surprised by Iger linking arms with arguably the worst president in history to declare war on America\u2019s gun owners. Iger, after all, is a longtime Democrat who helped\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/disneys-bob-iger-hosts-hillary-913028\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fundraise<\/a>\u00a0for Crooked Hillary Clinton\u2019s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>He also tried to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/envelope\/la-xpm-2013-mar-06-la-et-ct-robert-iger-alleged-liberal-news-bias-disney-20130306-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defend<\/a>\u00a0liberal bias at Disney in 2013 after ABC \u201cNews\u201d and ESPN bashed various conservatives.
