Welcome To The Third World, Part 32: Texas, Really??

by John Rubino, Dollar Collapse:

California and Texas were, until very recently, the two best US states. The former is the richest and highest-profile, and home to Silicon Valley and Hollywood, while the latter is both huge and the place to which millions of Californians want to move.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that as these two go, so goes the country. Which is why the past few years have been such a blow to America’s “leader of the free world” self-image.

First, California fell into a fiery abyss where its ludicrous car-centric, stupidity-tolerant culture was exposed as an epic mistake. See Welcome To The Third World, Part 30: California Burning In The Dark.  Also this and this.

What I Want to Know is How Angry Are You, Really?

by Tom Luongo, Tom Luongo:

In another life I used to be a poet and, at times, your classic black-trench-wearing, cigarette-smoking art fag. Angry didn’t begin to cover what was my default state of being in my 20’s.

My poor Rickenbacker 4003 has taken a lot of abuse over the years with me taking my frustrations out on it rather than going postal. Yeah, musician too folks, but the livestream regulars already know this.

Fast forward to my late 30’s and the post-Lehman Bros. Era dominated by central bank created fake markets and I’m whiling away away 250+ miles from home watching the acceleration of the degradation of Western society from my man cave cum laboratory breathing enough hydrogen and ethylenediamine to drive even a Mormon missionary to violence.

African Nations Demand UN Investigation into American Police Brutality. No, Really

by Rick Moran, PJ Media:

This would be hilarious if it wasn’t racist to think so. Delegates from several African nations have requested that the UN Human Rights Council investigate “systemic racism” in the U.S. as well as American “police brutality.” They will also examine reports of “violence against ‘peaceful protesters”” The UNHRC agreed and will begin hearings soon.

Chinese Government Lays Off Entire Propaganda Team As American Media Doing Their Job For Them

from The Babylon Bee:

BEIJING—The Chinese government has laid off its entire propaganda arm, cutting thousands of jobs at China Central Television and other state-run media outlets as the American media is already doing their job for them.

“It seemed kinda redundant for us to have a state-run media when we have the American press,” said President Xi at a press conference Monday. “The American media is carrying water for us. It’s pretty incredible. We unleashed a virus on the world and lied about it for months, and the American press can’t stop praising us. As long as they make their orange leader look bad, they’ll repeat any line we feed them.”

State Forces Citizens to Pay for ‘Stargazing Permit’ to View Night Sky in Public Parks—Yes, Really

by Matt Agorist, The Free Thought Project:

New York — In the Land of the Free, if you do not pay the State in the form of a permit before you attempt to sell a product or service to a willing customer, you can and will be extorted, kidnapped and caged, with extreme prejudice. While many folks stand behind permits for selling, one permit in New York that has nothing to do with commerce, has garnered the scrutiny of the Free thought Project. If citizens of the state wish to look up at the sky and view the stars at one of New York’s public parks, they will first have to obtain a “Stargazing permit.” Seriously.

Who Is Joel Davis, Really?

by Elizabeth Vos, Disobedient Media:

UPDATE: 7/1/18: Shortly after publication, it came to our attention that the Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict had incorrectly referred to Joel Davis as a volunteer coordinator, when in fact he served as the Director of the Campaign. This article has been updated to reflect that change.

Disobedient Media recently reported on the arrest of Joel Davis, Executive Director of Youth to End Sexual Violence and former Director of the Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict, who was arrested on chargesrelated to child pornography as well as an attempt to arrange the rape of a nine-year-old and two-year-old.

US Warns Of “Firm” Response If Syria Attacks ISIS … No, Really

by Brandon Turbeville, Activist Post:

In an apparent attempt to remove all pretense that the United States is nothing more than al-Qaeda’s Air Force in Syria, the American government is warning its Syrian counterpart that, if the SAA moves ahead with its upcoming southern offensive to remove ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorists from its southern borders, the U.S. will take “firm and appropriate measures.

In other words, the United States is telling Syria that it had better not attack ISIS forces or else. Indeed, American “Firm and appropriate measures” seems like a very thinly veiled threat of military action particularly since the United States seems incapable of taking any “measures” that aren’t “kinetic” in nature outside of its borders.
