Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk told former President Donald Trump during their “chat” on X on Monday night that the U.S. should establish a commission to address the federal government’s spending crisis, and he would serve on it.

“A lot of people just don’t understand where inflation comes from. Inflation comes from government overspending because the checks never bounce when it’s written by the government,” Musk said.
