Idiot Index Crashes, Film At 11

    Oh the market no likey….

Increases in the shelter, food, and medical care indexes were the largest of many contributors to the broad-based monthly all items increase. These increases were mostly offset by a 10.6-percent decline in the gasoline index. The food index continued to rise, increasing 0.8 percent over the month as the food at home index rose 0.7 percent. The energy index fell 5.0 percent over the month as the gasoline index declined, but the electricity and natural gas indexes increased.

So would you like “ESG” and high inflation as far as you can measure it forward or would you like to start throwing folks like PimPco’s executives in prison, along with Blackrock, for violating 15 USC Chapter 1 or even Racketeering?

Robespierre and the Committee of Public Safety

The Reign of Terror was a period in the French Revolution marked by a series of massacres and pubic execution that took place in an atmosphere marked by revolutionary fervor, anti-nobility sentiments and wild accusations of the Jacobin faction led by Maximilien Robespierre and the Committee of Public Safety. This period of the Jacobin rule was the first time in history that terror became an official government policy with the stated aim to use violence to achieve a higher political goal. The Reign of Terror  (September 5, 1793 – July 28, 1794), also known as The Terror, was a period of violence during the French Revolution incited by conflict between two rival political factionsthe Girondins (moderate republicans) and the Jacobins (radical republicans), and marked by mass executions of “the enemies of the revolution.” The foundation of the Terror was centered around the April 1793 creation of the Committee of Public Safety. As a wartime measure, the Committee was given broad supervisory powers over military, judicial, and legislative efforts. Its power peaked between August 1793 and July 1794 under the leadership of Robespierre, who established a virtual dictatorship. On June 1794, Robespierre, who favored deism over atheism, recommended that the Convention acknowledge the existence of his god. The next day, the worship of the deistic Supreme Being was inaugurated as an official aspect of the revolution. As a result of Robespierre’s insistence on associating terror with virtue, his efforts to make the republic a morally united patriotic community became equated with the endless bloodshed. Shortly after that, following a decisive military victory over Austria at the Battle of Fleurus, Robespierre was overthrown on July 27, 1794.

Why a “Digital Dollar” Is a Really Bad Idea

        by Brad Polumbo, Activist Post:

The widespread embrace of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has left many government bureaucrats feeling left out. In a bid to get in on the action, many governments have floated the idea of a “central bank digital currency,” (CBDC) aka a government-issued cryptocurrency using blockchain technology. President Biden directed the federal government to explore this idea, and new reporting suggests the Biden Administration may soon press forward with efforts to create a so-called “digital dollar.”

Uh-Oh! Gold & Silver “Sold” At The Release Of The Official, Totally Legitimate August Consumer Price Inflation Report

For those “traders” and “investors” who are unaware in the gold & silver “markets”, “no” inflation is bad, “low” inflation is bad, “high” inflation is bad, and…

(by Half Dollar) No matter how you phrase it, it’s all bad for gold & silver.

You see, when people willingly spoonfeed the Beast that is simultaneously destroying them while others cheer on and even participate in the slaughter, this is the end result.

In fact, unless we Starve the Beast, continued market manipulation is the only result there ever could be, so please remember that the next time somebody claims to be a gold or silver “advocate”.

Today, in the September 7th in the Snippets column, many of the topics in some of my recent “do-not-publish” essays were covered so I thought I’d share some opinions.

I agree with most of the comments and links in today’s Snippets column, as I generally do, but a few I disagree with I hope are worthy of mention, mostly on saving the country from the tyranny which is barreling down on us and becoming obvious even to the oblivious.

            The Fourth Turn, Turn, Turn

by Charles Hugh Smith, Of Two Minds:

The cycles of The Fourth Turning, Fischer and Turchin are all in alignment at this point in history..

The 1997 book The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy proposed a cyclical pattern of four 20-year generations which culminate in a national crisis every 80 years. The book identifies these dates as Fourth Turnings: 1781 (Revolutionary War), 1861 (Civil War) and 1941 (global war). add 80 years and voila, 2021.

I use the term Fourth Turning generically to describe an existential crisis that decisively changes the course of national identity and history.

In other words, we don’t have to accept the book’s theory of generational dynamics to accept an 80-year cycle. There are other causal dynamics in play that also tend to cycle: the credit (Kondratieff) cycle, for example.

The Day After 9/11: UN Security Council’s Passes Resolution 1368 and Starts “Pillar Four” of the United Nations

                  0

                  by Elias Davidsson, Global Research:

The first overt diplomatic achievement by the United States related to 9/11, was Resolution No. 1368. It was adopted at noontime by the UN Security Council on September 12, 2001. The resolution contained the obligatory statements of condemnation and of solidarity with the 9/11 victims and their families. But this particular resolution manifested three puzzling features whose implications are unsettling.

Resolution 1368 included a one-paragraph preamble in which the Council “recognized the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence in accordance with the Charter.” There was no need to mention this particular principle in the resolution unless it was the intent of the Council to give the United States a wink that it may, if it wishes, use military force against any country it chooses as a response to 9/11.

The FBI targeted humble pillow salesman Mike Lindell on Tuesday as part of their ongoing witch hunt targeting all of former President Donald Trump’s allies.

“Cars pulled up in front of us, to the side of us, and behind us and I said those are either bad guys or the FBI,” Lindell said. “Well, it turns out they were the FBI.”
