Twitter has dissolved its Trust and Safety council after new owner Elon Musk criticized the group over a longstanding lack of action to rid the platform of child sexual abuse material.
“As Twitter moves into a new phase, we are reevaluating how best to bring external insights into our product and policy development work. As part of this process, we have decided that the Trust and Safety Council is not the best structure to do this,” read an email to the council’s members.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the disgraced founder and former CEO of FTX, is facing numerous federal felonies for alleged financial crimes related to the collapse of the company.
The disheveled 30-year-old was arrested Monday night by authorities in the Bahamas after they received word from U.S. officials that charges had been filed against Bankman-Fried and that the U.S. would soon seek extradition.

A new report shows that a large Canadian credit union reported to the police one of its customers who “liked” the Freedom Convoy Facebook page and proceeded to monitor his financial transactions.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, recently released records show that on February 15 of this year, Assiniboine Credit Union in Winnipeg, Manitoba, reported one of its users to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) because he had “liked” the Freedom Convoy Facebook page, telling the federal police he is “potentially involved” in the protest.

A former CNN producer pleaded guilty in federal court Monday of using interstate commerce to coerce a 9-year-old girl into engaging in sexual acts with him, the Associated Press reported.
John Griffin, 45, allegedly convinced a woman he met on a website to bring her child to his ski home in Ludlow, Vermont, to engage in sexual acts in 2020, the Associated Press reported. He allegedly paid the woman to fly from Nevada to Logan Airport in Boston, where he then picked them up and drove them to his Vermont residence.
