GOOD TIMING: George Soros bought $42 million worth of puts on MGM Resorts earlier this year

What Was Going On With MGM Resorts In September?

by William Craddick, Disobedient Media:

On Tuesday, September 5th, 2017,  the board of MGM Resorts International decided to approve a $1 billion share repurchase program. At a net worth of $17.7 billion today, the program represented a significant portion of its current market cap. By the end of the week, MGM’s CEO, James Murren, had coolly divested himself of 80{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} of the shares he owned in his company. The divestment came just days before the ex-dividend date on September 8th, 2017.

The sales were originally disclosed in a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Murren had previously divested 57,269 shares on July 31st and August 9th, 2017.

It’s currently unclear why Murren chose to sell when he did. To date, MGM’s stock has not experienced a significant decline in value due to the repurchasing program. As the CEO of MGM, it runs against the company’s interests to convey a sense of urgency in the selling personal stock of shares immediately after the announcement of my company’s share repurchase program. It’s also strange that the CEO of a company would sell more than half of their stake (let alone 80{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528}) in the company that they represented.

Mr. Murren and his fellow board members were not the only speculators who were bearish on MGM’s prospects. Billionaire investor George Soros also bought $42 million worth of puts on the company, according to SEC filings from mid August.

That point being made, it needs to be asked why any profit-oriented CEO of any company would sell 80{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} of his personal stake in his own corporation, especially after he thought it was in the business’ best interest to initiate a massive share repurchase program which one would theoretically assume to reduce the number of shares in the company and increase the price of each share, ceteris peribus.

Why would the individual with the most information about the company sell 80{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} of his shares immediately after the commencement of a program that most would consider positive for the stock? Shouldn’t he want to hold on to his shares? Is there something he knew, that others didn’t, that lead to so much movement in such little time? What a week!

On September 5th, 2017, 18 analysts were bullish on MGM, 1 had a hold rating, and 1 had a sell rating. Taking the events of September and October into consideration, has MGM’s picture heading forward improved, or worsened?

Israel’s Role in the Cataclysm to Come

0

by Phil Butler, New Eastern Outlook:

Finally, the skeleton is out of the Arab Spring closet via an article in Foreign Policy written by Jonathan Spyer. Israel has been at war for total dominance in the Middle East and, according to the senior research fellow at the Global Research in International Affairs Center (Rubin Center) and Jerusalem Post columnist, Tel Aviv is about to engage in Syria to confront Iran.

All I can say is, if the director of one of Israel’s research centers located at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) is right, then the kickoff to Armageddon could be around the corner. For some months now my research and reporting on Syria and the wider crises has revolved around Israel’s role in world affairs. So, with this revelation it seems clear that the gloves will soon come off where Israel as the instigator of crises is concerned. Bibi and Trump meeting in Washington, the role of AIPAC in pressing for sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea, and the provocative geostrategic role the Netanyahu government has played equal overwhelming circumstantial proof of the tiny nation’s responsibility for Middle Eastern chaos. Quoting Speyer:

“Israeli officials believe that Iran is winning its bid for dominance in the Middle East, and they are mobilizing to counter the regional realignment that threatens to follow. The focus of Israel’s military and diplomatic campaign is Syria.”

From my point of view, I cannot decide which facet of this news is scarier, the apparent fact that top Israeli analysts now don’t care about public opinion or the possibility that Israel really might go nuclear against Iran. The Foreign Policy article also reveals Israeli motives that have driven international incidents. For instance, with regard to the United States’ initial psychotic episode over chemical weapons that the Assad government was supposed to have used against its own people, those “weapons fears” had nothing whatsoever to do with Syrians. Spyer takes special note of Israeli missions against chemical weapons facilities at Masyaf. Let’s face it, Israel does not fly missions to rescue endangered Arabs. But the acute problem for the Israeli regime is not Assad anymore. Since the Syrian Army with Russian and Iranian assistance has nearly eradicated ISIS, Tel Aviv is worried about the aftermath of the Syrian mess. And about their precious Golan Heights. Quoting FP again:

“Iranian forces now maintain a presence close to or adjoining the Israeli-controlled portion of the Golan Heights and the Quneitra Crossing that separates it from the Syrian-controlled portion of the territory. Israel has throughout the Syrian war noted a desire on the part of the Iranians and their Hezbollah clients to establish this area as a second line of active confrontation against the Jewish state, in addition to south Lebanon.”

The Israeli expert goes on to assert that “Syria hardly exists today”, and proclaims Iran and Russia the “masters” of the war-torn country. The Foreign Policy article lays out in no uncertain terms the essential mindset and strategy Israel has deployed against neighboring enemies and allies alike – even though the author did not intend to do so. By showing what Israel fears most, and in listing in convincing form the geopolitical and military counterweights of Tel Aviv, Spyer betrays the actual intentions of Israel. Read how Israel has worked with rebels inside Syria:

“Israel has developed pragmatic working relations with the local rebel groups who at the moment still control the greater part of the border, such as the Fursan al-Joulan group. This cooperation focuses on treating wounded fighters and civilians, and providing humanitarian aid and financial assistance. There has also probably been assistance in the field of intelligence, though no evidence has yet emerged of direct provision of weapons or direct engagement of Israeli forces on the rebels’ behalf.”

Finally, scanning reports and propaganda from the Rubin Center’s website one finds the Israeli group not just focused regionally. First, we find this Spyer fellow with eyes on Ukraine and the Jewish community there in a piece for Jerusalem Post portraying pro-Russian factions as Nazis. Next, I find it interesting that the Caucasus and Georgia are covered in depth. A story by Mahir Khalifa-zadeh (a veteran of the Kosovo OSCE mission in 1999) from September of 2014 entitled “The South Caucasus: Obama’s Failed Russia “Reset” and the Putin Doctrine in Practice” betrays Israeli geostrategy in the heart of that more distant calamity. A pragmatic person might ask the question here, “Was Israel against a reset of US-Russia relations?” The answer there leads us to new ideas on just “who” is behind the current west-east divide. Quoting from the report:

“Since 2009, under President Barack Obama, the U.S. has pursued a “Russian reset” policy, promising a fresh start to previously tense relations. Yet this policy has failed to improve American interests, particularly in the South Caucasus region, which is strategically important for both Israeli and U.S. policy towards the greater Middle East and the post-Soviet space.”

This report from the Azerbaijani expert touches on US and Israel “energy security”, which also reflects the core catalyst for crisis in these regions. We don’t often read or hear about the so-called Contract of the Century between Azerbaijan and the big oil heavyweights in the west, but this quote frames the issue well:

“The discovery of the Azeri, Chirag, and Guneshli oil fields in that region significantly energized U.S. policy and diplomacy to transform the area into an important source of non-Middle-Eastern energy. Huge Azeri oil and gas reserves also raised the issue of energy transportation routes to bypass Russia.”

Bypassing Russia and Iran, cutting Syria off as a gateway for delivering energy, destroying any semblance of resistance to Israeli power in the region, shoring up America’s dominance in the global scheme – these deals and strategies show tradeoffs that have created massive crises. And the Zionists that run Israel are smack in the middle of all of them. This is no longer arguable. The question remains, “What can we do about it?”

Fear of America First by GOP Establishment

from BATR:

Trump “is the only member who has stood in front of the Jewish community and said ‘I don’t want your money,’” Farrakhan said in a sermon he delivered this week. “Any time a man can say to those who control the politics of America, ‘I don’t want your money,’ that means you can’t control me. And they can’t afford to give up control of the presidents of the United States.” – Louis Farrakhan

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only”, is just as true today about the true conservative movement as it was back in Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities, era.

The dynamic outrage coming from the populist voice of discontented and betrayed citizens is the most encouraging movement in recent decades. The retro response from the GOP establishment defines the real nature of RINO motives that center on holding onto power and the globalist agenda that has long destroyed the once great Republic.

Nothing defines this pathetic reaction more than Paul Ryan’s two face comments about not being ready to support Donald Trump. Two establishment newspaper rags show their bias and distain for the American people. The Washington Post writes in Paul Ryan smacked down Donald Trump. Here’s why. “What Ryan believes is that the ideas and rhetoric being put forward by Donald Trump and, to a lesser extent, Ted Cruz, are anathema to his vision of what the Republican Party can and needs to be. Ryan thinks those ideas might not only cost the GOP an election but could set the party back a generation (or generations) with voters. …”

How more clearly can it get that the GOP elites simply want to do away with the sentiments of Republican primary voters. Trump’s response in the New York Times in the article, Donald Trump Won’t Rule Out Effort to Remove Paul Ryan as Convention Chairman, “Mr. Trump stopped short of calling for Mr. Ryan, the speaker of the House, to step down from his convention role. But in an interview that aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Mr. Trump said there could be consequences in the event that Mr. Ryan continued withholding his support”, sets the stage for the epic battle for purging the NeoCon cabal of corrupt scoundrels from power and influence.

Look, this movement about popular representation is not about one man. Donald Trump alone is simply a messenger. He is no savior nor should he be. If a populist America First society is to achieve success, the old regime needs to be buried in a grave with no head stone. Encouraging is that 57{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} of Americans Agree With Donald Trump on Policy.

“Americans are adopting a foreign policy much closer to Republican Donald Trump than Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, saying in a new survey that they want an “America First” focus that fixes the U.S. before other countries.

A comprehensive new Pew Research Center poll found that 57 percent agree that America should deal with its own problems. Just 37 percent disagreed. And more than not said America is too helpful internationally.

“The new survey, conducted April 12 to 19 among 2,008 U.S. adults, finds the public remains wary of global involvement,” said Pew.”

The pinnacle of imperial oppression resides in the Washington DC political class. Republican establishment careerists are a band of elite’s in a reprehensible syndicate system. Their partners in crime are the Democrats that champion a totalitarian collectivism government that maintains and fosters an all powerful force of coercion.

America First is the essence of a legitimate federalism that is based upon separation of powers. The United States of disunity is seen in every corner and crevice of the technocratic bureaucracy that is in constant war with the populace. Yet, in one area, namely; foreign policy the concord in support for empire goes unabated.

The GOP hawks for internationalism are especially and deathly opposed to an American First presidency. The McCain’s and Graham’s advocate a Bush family dedication towards their New World Order dream. However, to invoke the color of coverage to deflect criticism away from the failed globalism for a stable international planet, the War Party turns to a confirmed socialist family front man to make the case, as reported in NY Times: Why We Need a Foreign Policy Elite.

FLASHBACK: Son’s words expose the real agenda being the farce that is Donald Trump’s candidacy

by Ian GreenhalghVeteran’s Today:

The pieces of the puzzle are all falling into place now and we can get a clear picture of just what and whom is behind the election campaign of Donald Trump. We knew Trump was being financed and heavily supported by the Zionists when Sheldon Adelson spoke out in support and gave Trump a huge campaign donation. Now his son has made it even clearer that Trump is working for the Zionists by telling us that it was the Iran nuke deal that spurred his orange buffoon of a father to start his most farcical of presidential candidacies. Israel and the Zionists were absolutely furious when the Iran deal was signed, Netanyahu almost went berserk, spewing all kinds of insane rhetoric.

nable to stop the deal, it now looks like the Zionists are trying to destroy it by injecting Trump into US politics; when Trump says things like “my number one priority is to dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran” he is really saying ‘the number one task I have been given by my Zionist controllers is to act in Israel’s best interests by destroying the Iranian nuke deal’.

Trump needs to end this election campaign not in the oval office, but in a cell along with all the other treasonous servants of Israel such as his financial backer Adelson and Rita Katz, the arch liar of the ISIS war. Hey, here’s a thought – why not make a reality TV show out of it, Trump would love that!

__________
Arutz Sheva
Trump launched presidential campaign to fight Iran deal

Republican candidate’s son reveals nuke deal was a ‘game-changer’ for him, which made him finally say ‘I’m going to give this a real shot.’

Real estate mogul Donald Trump, who currently is the Republican presidential nominee, decided to launch his campaign due to the controversial Iran nuclear deal sealed last July, according to his son Eric.

“I think, honestly, the Iran nuclear deal was one of the things that made him jump into the race,” Eric Trump told the “Cats Roundtable” radio program on AM 970 in New York on Sunday, reports the Jewish Insider.

“I think that was a game-changer for him,” Trump told the show host John Catsimatidis. “That is when he finally said, ‘Kids, I am going to do it. I am going to give this a real shot.’”

Trump has repeatedly condemned US President Barack Obama for signing the nuclear deal, and that condemnation was also heard in his speech on June 16, 2015 kicking off his campaign.

“If he makes that deal, Israel maybe won’t exist very long. We have to protect Israel,” Trump stated then less than a month before the deal was made, noting on Tehran’s open threats to wipe the Jewish state off the map.

The Republican candidate also spoke about the deal in a rally in Wisconsin last month, when he said the Iranians abused US Secretary of State John Kerry “mentally” in the nuclear deal talks, quipping that they treated him “like a child.”

“They took advantage of him like he was a baby,” he added.

Trump also made clear the Iran deal was a key priority of his during a speech at AIPAC in march, when he said, “my number one priority is to dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran.”

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State for Obama, has for her part promised to maintain the Iran nuclear deal.

Why is the deal bad?

There has been great criticism over the nuclear deal for a variety of issues, with many noting that a similar deal sealed by former President Bill Clinton with North Korea in 1994 paved the regime’s path to a nuclear arsenal. The country’s first nuclear test took place in 2006.

The deal allows Iran to wait until limitations on its nuclear program expire in 15 years, at which point it could race to building a nuclear arsenal.

Trump Speech A Goldmine Of Hypocrisy, Propaganda And Outrageous Lies

0

by Patrick J McShay, Operation Disclosure:

“If Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, this could presage catastrophic consequences, not only for my country, and the Middle East, but for all mankind”, adding that “the deadline for attaining this goal is extremely close”. – Israeli Prime Minister-Bibi Netanyahu -1996

“If the United States is forced to defend itself or its allies we will have no choice but to destroy North Korea” – President Donald J. Trump

“Trump is hostage to hawkish generals running his administration’s geopolitical agenda. Instead of being a peace and stability President, he’s another in a long line of US warrior presidents- At war in multiple theaters, threatening more conflicts, risking possible nuclear confrontation with North Korea, Russia, and China”. – Stephen Lendman, Journalist

Was Donald Trump’s speech to the UN optimistic realism, Trumpian populism or a just a goldmine of hypocrisy, propaganda and outrageous lies? Trump’s meeting with Bibi Netanyahu yesterday no doubt influenced this jingoistic and threatening speech. It sounded like Bibi wrote it for him. Bibi has been crying wolf about Iran’s non-existent nuclear weapons program for over 20 years. This kind of speech always worked really well before the advent of the internet. In the past, the mainstream media effectively kept us in the dark about what was really going on in the rest of the world so this kind of speech was readily accepted by the ignorant proles.

Now, with a few clicks of the mouse on a computer, just about everything he said is quickly exposed as no more than ludicrous propaganda and the raving of a clueless madman pushing another country’s agenda. I’m sure this was obvious to everyone in that room. This speech was for the dimwitted Fox News crowd, the NeoCons, and Israeli firsters behind the new $700 billion defense spending bill and the defense contractors who will benefit the most. It was not for a room full of serious foreign diplomats. Rocketman indeed. Republicans will, no doubt, praise the speech. The Democrats can’t be too critical because they are complicit and willing partners in most of these big lies, especially if a war for Israel is the end result. Think 911.

Trump proclaimed, “Terrorists and extremists have spread to every corner of the world and rogue regimes in this body support these networks.” What the President fails to mention is that The US and many of our allies including England, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other NATO countries have been arming and funding a number of terrorist organizations in the Middle East including Al Queda, the Al Nusra Front, and ISIS. You can’t talk seriously about stamping out purveyors of terror while holding hands with Israel and Saudi Arabia, Mr. President. You can’t preach to Syria about being a good neighbor when everyone in the room knows that Israel just bombed Syria again last week.

Trump laughably referred to Israel as a “peaceful neighbor”. This no doubt elicited some big laughs from those in attendance. No doubt more laughs were heard when he said, “In America, we don’t impose our way of life on anyone.” Isn’t that precisely what America does? You can’t pretend that Iran is the biggest threat to the Middle East when everyone in the room knows that the US provided weapons and continue to support the Saudis’ ongoing war and abhorrent bombing campaign against a largely defenseless Yemen. So why would Trump choose to back out of the nuclear deal with Iran now? Because Iran is the next war our Israeli controllers want the American military to fight for them. Especially since their terrorist army has been soundly defeated in Syria.

Iran stands in the way of the “Greater Israel Project”, Israel’s scheme to attain full spectrum dominance over the region. Nothing the US does in the Middle East is done without approval from Tel Aviv. According to US grand strategy, as defined by Admiral Arthur Cebrowski in 2001, all of the greater Middle East must be destroyed except for Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon. This is what has been playing out in the region ever since. The always excellent journalist Stephen Lendman pointed out that “North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela are sovereign independent states threatening no one. America’s geopolitical strategy needs enemies to justify unprecedented militarism and war-making. None exist, so they’re invented.”

The US isn’t so much down on terrorists. They just have a problem with the terrorists that aren’t working for them. It’s like how the government only goes after the drug cartels who don’t work for the CIA. Does anyone really believe that we are really fighting terror in Afghanistan after 16 long years in that country? Prior to the invasion, the Taliban was in the process of stamping out Opium production in Afghanistan. FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds reported that In 2001, prior to the invasion, there were 189,000 heroin users in the US. By 2016 there were estimated to be 4.5 million addicts in our country. So when our government announced that they would eradicate Afghani poppy production, they neglected to tell us that US poppy production would flourish.

For instance, in 2001, poppy fields went from 7600 hectares (2.5 acres per) to 224,000 hectares in 2016. How is it possible for poppy production to increase so substantially after George Bush the Dumber said we would eradicate these crops? Heroin deaths shot from 1779 in 2001 to just under 11,000 in 2016. Heroin is a trillion dollar a year business and the US controls it. Most of the world’s major banks have been caught laundering drug money and it won’t stop anytime soon. Sadly the US so-called Heroin Eradication Program has cost the American taxpayers $8.5 billion. Not long ago most Americans thought that accusations of government-sponsored cocaine smuggling were a conspiracy theory. Today, they are making movies and TV shows about the very real history of American sponsored drug smuggling.

Barack Obama’s former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, who was caught lying to Congress not long ago, has been caught lying again. A few months ago Donald Trump accused the Obama Administration of wiretapping he and members of his team at Trump Tower and the mainstream media had a field day ridiculing him over his accusations. Clapper went on Meet The Press and told Chuck Todd that “there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the President or his campaign before or after the election”. Well, it looks like Trump was right again.

The bigger question is what else has this traitor lied about? Clapper is a smug globalist who never thought Trump would win. Were the Russian collusion lies used by Obama’s henchmen to order FISA warrants on Trump’s team that would have otherwise been illegal? Jeff Sessions is surrounded by criminals with enough evidence to indict a half dozen people right away. This should be a special prosecutor’s dream. Prosecuting Obama’s minions are what most Americans want to see. It’s what this country needs, not globalist shill Robert Mueller’s Russian witch hunt. We should be hearing about multiple investigations. Where are the grand juries, Jeff? Sessions is an embarrassment who spent 9 months attempting to expand the unconstitutional and terribly flawed asset forfeiture program to steal American’s assets and is still fantasizing about imprisoning Medical Marijuana patients. If he won’t resign Trump needs to fire him immediately!

Will Trump take steps to ensure that these agencies don’t go rogue in the future? Has he identified Obama holdovers who may be in a position to harm his presidency? We were told that these Intelligence Agencies were nonpartisan and this sort of thing couldn’t happen. Juan Williams was still insisting today, with a straight face, that the Intelligence Agencies are non-political. Right now, what the Trump Administration needs is an Attorney General that is a Pit Bull, not a lap dog. That’s why Sessions needs to be given his walking papers. It seems clear that Comey is dirty. So is Susan Rice, and Samantha Powers. And what about Obama? Did he order illegal wiretaps? I believe he did. The American people deserve to know the truth. Trump’s win had the globalist rats scurrying but any attack on Iran helps put their agenda back on track. Any plan that has John McCain and Lindsey Graham’s approval is guaranteed to be bad for America.

Russian special forces repel a US-planned attack in Syria, denounce the USA and issue a stark warning

from The Saker:

Something rather unprecedented just happened in Syria: US backed “good terrorist” forces attempted a surprise attack against Syrian government forces stationed to the north and northeast of the city of Hama.  What makes this attack unique is that it took place inside a so-called “de-escalation zone” and that it appears that one of the key goals of the attack was to encircle in a pincer-movement and subsequently capture a platoon of Russian military police officers deployed to monitor and enforce the special status of this zone.  The Russian military police forces, composed mainly of soldiers from the Caucasus region, fought against a much larger enemy force and had to call for assistance.  For the first time, at least officially, Russian special operations forces were deployed to rescue and extract their comrades.  At the same time, the Russians sent in a number of close air support aircraft who reportedly killed several hundred “good” terrorists and beat back the attack (Russian sources speak of the destruction of 850 fighters, 11 tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, 46 armed pickup trucks, five mortars, 20 freighter trucks and 38 ammo supply points; you can see photos of the destroyed personnel and equipment here).  What also makes this event unique is the official reaction of the Russians to this event

Head of the Main Operations Department at Russia’s General Staff Colonel General Sergei Rudskoi declared that:

“Despite agreements signed in Astana on September 15, gunmen of Jabhat al-Nusra and joining them units that don’t want to comply with the cessation of hostilities terms, launched a large-scale offensive against positions of government troops north and northeast of Hama in Idlib de-escalation zone from 8 am on September 19 (…) According to available data, the offensive was initiated by American intelligence services to stop a successful advance of government troops east of Deir ez-Zor“.

Today, other Russian officials have added a not-so-veiled threat to this accusation.  The Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov has declared that:

Russia unequivocally told the commanders of US forces in Al Udeid Airbase (Qatar) that it will not tolerate any shelling from the areas where the SDF are stationed (…)  Fire from positions in regions [controlled by the SDF] will be suppressed by all means necessary.

This is unprecedented on many levels.  First, the Russians clearly believe that this attempt to kill or capture a platoon of the Russian military police was planned by the United States.  The fact that they are making this accusation officially shows the degree of irritation felt by the Russians about the duplicity of the Americans.  Second, this is the first time, at least to my knowledge, that Russian Spetsnaz forces had to be sent in to rescue a surrounded Russian subunit.  All Spetsnaz operators survived, but three of them were wounded in the operation (the Russians are not saying how badly).  The close air support by very low flying SU-25 aircraft was obviously coordinated by Spetsnaz forward air controllers and probably saved the day.  In other words, this was a close call and things could have ended much more badly (just imagine what the Takfiri crazies would have done, on video, to any captured Russian serviceman!).  Finally, a US-organized attack on what was supposed to be a “de-confliction” zone combined with an attempt to capture Russian soldiers raises the bar for American duplicity to a totally new level.

The big question now is “do the Russians mean it?” or are they just whining with real determination to hit back if needed.

There are a couple of problems here.  First, objectively, the Russian contingent in Syria is a tiny one if compared to the immense power of CENTCOM, NATO and the ever-present Israelis.  Not only that, but in any US-Russian confrontation, Russia as a country is objectively the weaker side by any measure except a full-out nuclear exchange.  So the Russians are not in a position of force.  Furthermore, for historical and cultural reasons, Russians are much more concerned by the initiation of any incident which could lead to all-out war than the Americans who always fight their wars in somebody else’s country. This might seem paradoxical, but the Russians fear war but they are ready for it.  In contrast to the Russians, the Americans don’t fear war, but neither are they ready for it.  In practical terms this means that an American miscalculation could very well lead to a Russian military response which would stun the Americans and force them to enter an escalatory spiral which nobody would control.

Remember how Hillary promised that she would unilaterally impose a so-called “no-fly” zone over Syria?  She promised not only to deploy US aircraft above Russian forces in Syria, but she also promised that she would force the Russian Aerospace forces out of the Syrian skies.  Thank God, this crazy witch was not elected, but it appears that folks with the same arrogant and, frankly, completely irresponsible point of view are now back in power under Trump.

My fear now is that the incompetent, arrogant, not too bright and generally ignorant commanders at the Pentagon and the CIA will simply ignore clear warning signs coming from the Russians, including the public announcement that the Kremlin has given the authority to use force to protect Russian personnel to the local Russian commanders in Syria.  In plain English, this means that if they are attacked the Russians in Syria do not need to consult with Moscow before using force to protect themselves.  By the way, such rules of engagement are pretty common, there is nothing earth shattering here, but the fact that they were made public is, again, a message to the AngloZionist and the “good” terrorist they use to try to conquer Syria.

This time around we (the world) were lucky.  The Syrians fought hard and the “good” terrorists were probably surprised by the ruthless determination of the Russian military police forces (in reality, mostly Chechen special forces) and of the Spetsnaz operators.  It is one thing to fight Syrian conscripts, quite another to deal with these hardened warriors.  But the next time around the outcome could be different.

The bigger picture is also one which gives me a great deal of concern.  The Syrians, with Iranian, Hezbollah and Russian help, have freed Deir ez-Zor and have crossed the Euphrates river and are moving further East.  In plain English this means that the US and Daesh have lost the war and that the last region of Syrian from which the AngloZionists can hope to partition the country (their current “plan B”) and establish a permanent US military presence is now threatened by the Syrian advance.  The distance between the US forces currently deployed in northeastern Syria and Syrian, Iranian, Hezbollah and Russian forces is becoming shorter and shorter each day.  I can just imagine how, say, Iranian or Hezbollah forces which are already “smelling” the nearby presence of US forces are drooling with hunger for the moment they will finally be able to get their hands on their old and most hated foe.  I feel sincerely sorry for the first US unit to make contact with the Iranians or Hezbollah forces.

Right now the Americans are hiding behind the Kurds, but sooner or later the Iranians or Hezbollah will find them.  As for the Kurds, their situation in Syria is precarious, to put it mildly: they are surrounded on all sides by the Turks, the Syrians and the Iranians and their only more or less stable zone of control is in Iraq.  The Americans understand that perfectly, hence their desperate attempts to stop the Syrians.

This is a very dangerous situation: even though CENTCOM and NATO are by far the “biggest guys on the block”, in Syria the Americans are cornered, their corner is shrinking fast and it remains entirely unclear how this process can be stopped.  Hence the attack on the de-confliction zone we just witnessed.

I hope that eventually the Americans will do what they did in al-Taif and simply pack, declare victory and leave.  That would be the only rational thing to do.  But after listening to Trump at the UN I don’t get the feeling that being rational is at the top of the US priority list.  That’s all rather frightening.

Kremlin Says Morgan Freeman Suffering From “Stress” After ‘War With Russia’ Video

by Paul Joseph Watson, Infowars:

The Kremlin reacted to a video featuring Morgan Freeman that announces the U.S. is at war with Russia by asserting that the actor is suffering from “stress”.

The two minute clip features Freeman announcing that Russia attacked the United States by interfering in the presidential election.

The group behind the video, the Committee to Investigate Russia, claims to be “non-partisan” yet is made up of with Never Trump neo-cons like Max Boot and David Frum.

James Clapper, Obama’s spymaster who was caught lying about the Trump campaign being wiretapped after yesterday’s revelations about Paul Manafort, is also involved.

The group is also represented by Hollywood director Rob Reiner, seen in photos kissing Hillary Clinton, who has called for an “all out war” to resist Donald Trump.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Freeman’s words were “purely emotional” during a press conference conference earlier today and that the video couldn’t be taken seriously because it was “not based on real information”.

“Many creative people fall prey to emotional stress without real information about the real state of things,” he was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.

Peskov added that the campaign was ” a continuation of a form of McCarthyism,” and that “with time this will pass.”

Who Rules America?

by Prof. James Petras,  Global Research:

In the last few months, several competing political, economic and military sectors – linked to distinct ideological and ethnic groups – have clearly emerged at the centers of power.

We can identify some of the key competing and interlocking directorates of the power elite:

1. Free marketers, with the ubiquitous presence of the ‘Israel First’ crowd.

2. National capitalists, linked to rightwing ideologues.

3. Generals, linked to the national security and the Pentagon apparatus, as well as defense industry.

4. Business elites, linked to global capital.

This essay attempts to define the power wielders and evaluate their range of power and its impact.

The Economic Power Elite: Israel-Firsters and Wall Street CEO’s

‘Israel Firsters’ dominate the top economic and political positions within the Trump regime and, interestingly, are among the Administration’s most vociferous opponents. These include: the Federal Reserve Chairwoman, Janet Yellen, as well as her Vice-Chair, Stanley Fischer, an Israeli citizen and former (sic) Governor of the Bank of Israel.

Jared Kushner, (image above) President Trump’s son-in-law and an Orthodox Jew, acts as his top adviser on Middle East Affairs. Kushner, a New Jersey real estate mogul, set himself up as the archenemy of the economic nationalists in the Trump inner circle. He supports every Israeli power and land grab in the Middle East and works closely with David Friedman, US Ambassador to Israel (and fanatical supporter of the illegal Jewish settlements) and Jason Greenblatt, Special Representative for International negotiations. With three Israel-Firsters determining Middle East policy, there is not even a fig leaf of balance.

The Treasury Secretary is Steven Mnuchin, a former Goldman Sachs executive, who leads the neo-liberal free market wing of the Wall Street sector within the Trump regime. Gary Cohn, a longtime Wall Street influential, heads the National Economic Council. They form the core business advisers and lead the neo-liberal anti-nationalist Trump coalition committed to undermining economic nationalist policies.

An influential voice in the Attorney General’s office is Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Robert Muellerthe chief investigator, which led to the removal of nationalists from the Trump Administration.

The fairy godfather of the anti-nationalist Mnuchin-Cohn team is Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sach’s Chairman. The ‘Three Israel First bankerteers’ are spearheading the fight to deregulate the banking sector, which had ravaged the economy, leading to the 2008 collapse and foreclosure of millions of American homeowners and businesses.

The ‘Israel-First’ free market elite is spread across the entire ruling political spectrum, including ranking Democrats in Congress, led by Senate Minority leader Charles Schumer and the Democratic Head of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff. The Democratic Party Israel Firsters have allied with their free market brethren in pushing for investigations and mass media campaigns against Trump’s economic nationalist supporters and their eventual purge from the administration.

The Military Power Elite: The Generals

The military power elite has successfully taken over from the elected president in major decision-making. Where once the war powers rested with the President and the Congress, today a collection of fanatical militarists make and execute military policy, decide war zones and push for greater militarization of domestic policing. Trump has turned crucial decisions over to those he fondly calls ‘my Generals’ as he continues to dodge accusations of corruption and racism.
