Iran will not yield to US pressure, the country’s parliament speaker and top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said.
He noted that progress has been made in the negotiations, though fundamental issues over nuclear issues and the Strait of Hormuz are still unresolved
RT reports: The first round of US-Iran talks in Islamabad took place last weekend in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. Following the negotiations, US President Donald Trump announced a blockade of Iranian ports and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which handles around 25% of the global crude oil trade.

Iran says it is once again shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, blaming the US for “breaches of trust” during the tenuous ceasefire. Meanwhile in Washington, President Donald Trump claims that negotiations are still ongoing, and predictably—he is blaming Iran for ‘breaking the deal’, a deal which never really existed, as an erratic Trump keeps moving the goal posts throughout negotiations. Is the US even capable to observing any major agreement? Under the current regime in Washington, that remains an open question. It seems that piracy is the new US grand strategy now.
