AstraZeneca Taken to Court Over “Defective” Covid Jab in Landmark Legal Case

The Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has been branded “defective” in a multi-million pound landmark legal action that will suggest claims over its efficacy were “vastly overstated”. The Telegraph has the story.

The pharmaceutical giant is being sued in the High Court in a test case by Jamie Scott, a father-of-two who suffered a significant permanent brain injury that has left him unable to work as a result of a blood clot after receiving the jab in April 2021. A second claim is being brought by the widower and two young children of 35-year-old Alpa Tailor, who died after having the jab made by AstraZeneca, the U.K.-based pharmaceutical giant.

A new study funded by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) indicates that taking a COVID-19 booster and a flu shot at the same time may give older adults an increased risk of stroke.

The October 15 preprint of the study by researchers with the FDA’s Center for Biological Evaluation & Research, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and health policy research firm Acumen LLC investigated a safety concern with recipients of the COVID-19 bivalent jabs aged 65 and older. It did not find an elevated stroke risk among those who only received the booster shots but did find that those who received one plus a high-dose/adjuvanted influenza vaccine in the same trip saw their stroke risk increase by about 20-35%.

The Jet2 Boeing 737-800, registration G-GDFP, was performing flight LS-1711 from Manchester, England to Dalaman, Turkey with 161 passengers and 6 crew on board.

The plane was enroute at FL370 about 80nm south-southwest of Budapest, Hungary when the crew put out an emergency call.

A Jet2.com Boeing 737-800, registration G-GDFP performing flight LS-1711 from Manchester,EN (UK) to Dalaman (Turkey) with 161 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL370 about 80nm southsouthwest of Budapest (Hungary) when the captain decided to divert the aircraft to Budapest after the first officer became incapacitated.

The aircraft turned north towards Budapest, entered a hold while the captain was setting the aircraft up for the approach and subsequently landed safely on Budapest’s runway 13R about 30 minutes after leaving FL370 and taxied to the gate where medical services were awaiting the aircraft.
