The DNC and Media Corporate Establishment Is Grooming Kamala Harris as Obama 2.0

2

from http://jessescrossroadscafe.blogspot.com:

One has to wonder how many humiliating defeats the vast majority of party members, and prospective party members, are going to accept from the corporate Democratic establishment before they simply toss them out, or form a third party, and encourage the zombie politicians to make it official and take their deals with their Big Money donors and Wall Street.

Did an EPA Official Collude with Monsanto by Tilting Research?

0

The EPA’s inspector general has launched an investigation into possible collusion between a former high-ranking EPA official and Monsanto, the maker of RoundUp. [1]

The probe was initiated in response to a request from Rep. Ted Lieu, a Democrat from California, for an investigation into whether the EPA official colluded with the biotech giant to tilt research on glyphosate in favor of Monsanto’s claim that the chemical does not cause cancer in humans.

This, despite Monsanto having never conducted carcinogenicity studies on RoundUp.

Lieu’s request was based on media reports of documents released as part of a lawsuit against Monsanto alleging that glyphosate is carcinogenic and that the company may have spun research and hired scientists to cover it up.

Inspector General Arthur A. Elkins Jr. wrote in a letter he sent to a lawmaker on 31 May, 2017:

“As you are you aware, there is considerable public interest regarding allegations of such collusion. As a result, I have asked the EPA OIG Office of Investigations to conduct an inquiry into several agency review-related matters.” [1]

In A Better World

0

In a better world we might expect:

  • Individuals, corporations, and governments spend no more than their income.
  • “Honest” money is used by all, has intrinsic value, retains its purchasing power and is not counterfeited by individuals or bankers.
  • Governments and bankers support and encourage “honest” money.

Alas, we live in this world and must realize that:

  • Debt has increased rapidly for the past century. Example: U.S. national debt has expanded from roughly $3 billion to $20 trillion.
  • Currencies are IOU’s issued by central banks who promote ever-increasing currency in circulation, expanding debt, and continual devaluations in purchasing power.
  • The “fiat-currency-game” will continue until it implodes.

THE PROBLEM SHOWN IN ONE GRAPH:

Opting Out of the System

0

by Mike Parker, Steemit:

Tired of contributing your life energy to just perpetuate an outdated, unfair, inefficient and sometimes even evil system?

You are definitely not alone and there are definitely some things you can do to lessen your contribution to the status quo, especially as a United States ‘citizen’.

In modern times we’re born into a family through a local hospital, get a birth certificate and social security card, go through the government funded indoctrination system we call public schools and then we’re off into our little slave lives mostly performing what the system wants us to:

  • Being an obedient worker
  • Not questioning the system in practicality
  • Paying our dues (taxes, fees, traffic fines, and criticizing anyone who doesn’t)
  • Watching mainstream news and always picking a side or opinion provided to us; left vs right paradigm entrapment

How can we Get Out?

What If I Told you You Can Get Rid of Your Social Security Number?

Supposedly you can do this. But there are less extreme ways to starve the beast and give an example to your peers

  1. Alter your outward philosophy. Adopt the non-aggression principle as your way of life and convince others of this very sensical stance one should have when dealing in all matters of conflict. This is a great way to help grow a freedom oriented trend by setting a simple and logical example.

  1. Take steps to make you less tied into the system and to free yourself if you do want to leave altogether – What I mean here is, there’s ways to leave at least the American standard system; live on the road, escape to a more free country in central or south america, become a drain on the system rather than a contributor…here’s some prerequisites that will help you:

    A. Reduce your bills – If you have storage units, get rid of things you don’t use. See B.
Cancel gym memberships if you’re not very active, or takeup free weights and/or calisthenics at home. Cancel cable or satellite TV, you can watch many shows on YouTube right now, even 24/7 livestreams of Family Guy and the like are online for free now.
Just look at your bank or credit card bill and see what’s being charged every month. You’d be surprised and what you’re paying for and don’t need or use! If you don’t need some credit cards altogether, cancel those too of course!

Greenspan warns of Bond Bubble

‘We are experiencing a bubble, not in stock prices but in bond prices. This is not discounted in the marketplace.’

There are a lot of warnings on Bloomberg, CNBC and other financial media these days about a bubble in the stock market, particularly in FANG stocks and the tech sector.

But former Fed Chair Alan Greenspan is not in agreement. He is continuing his message of the last two years, that there is a bond bubble and which is more dangerous than what is going on in the stock market.

He is not the only one, in recent months there has been a growing number of those who are concerned that real bond yields in the U.S., UK, EU and elsewhere are well below where growth and inflation rates seem to suggest they should be.

They correctly warn that it is only a matter of time before the inflationary pressures (that we are feeling) hit the bond market.

Stagflation on the horizon

Greenspan’s warning this week comes a little over a year after he last warned us that we were currently in the worst period he has seen since he began public service, including the financial crisis.

Things are so bad, he said that he wished he could “find something positive to say.”

At the time he pointed towards the problem of ‘entitlements’ (welfare / warfare spending of the ‘welfare warfare state’). Something, he argued, is uneconomic and unsustainable. The main reason for its lack of sustainability is the low growth rates developed countries around the world are experiencing (around 2{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528}).

Can the Stock Market Continue Its Rise While the U.S. Dollar Slumps?

1

Back on January 12, 2017, Wall Street On Parade had a foreboding about the President-elect and his impact on the nation’s currency. We wrote at the time:

“The President of the United States is typically viewed as the person whose top job is to inspire confidence in the dignity, integrity and sanity of his leadership of the country. But the presser held by President-elect Donald Trump yesterday, the first in six months and likely viewed by world leaders around the globe, was short on confidence building and long on slandering the American media and U.S. intelligence agencies. In short order, the U.S. dollar took a dive. Trump has yet to assimilate the concept that his words no longer belong just to him but attach themselves like flypaper to the credibility of the most powerful nation on earth.”

This morning, reporters at Bloomberg News are also worrying about the sagging U.S. dollar, writing that “there’s no better place for investors to express their views about how a nation is managing its affairs than the $5.1 trillion-a-day global market for foreign exchange.” The article also notes that on July 20 of this year, when news reports surfaced that the Trump campaign/Russia investigation had expanded to include his personal finances, the U.S. dollar “immediately sank to an 11-month low. Just two days earlier, the currency slumped after a Republican effort to overhaul health care broke down.”

There’s an old maxim on Wall Street that the trend is your friend, meaning in this case that the downward thrust in the U.S. dollar could become a lasting trend under this President. This possibility has not escaped the Masters of the Universe on Wall Street. The Bloomberg article points out that: “Hedge funds are piling into bearish bets on the dollar, and now have the biggest net short position in four years.”

The trajectory of the U.S. dollar is on the same trajectory as President Donald Trump’s approval rating. According to Gallup, the President’s approval rating has gone from 45 percent on January 23, 2017 to 38 percent on July 29, 2017.

0

The German populace with a migrant background has hit a new record of 18.6 million people, the Federal Statistical Office has revealed, partially attributing the rise to the years of Angela Merkel’s so-called open door migrant policy.

Noting an 8.5 percent increase in the population with a first or second generation migrant background as compared to last year’s figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said it is the “highest [annual] increase since recording began in 2005.”

New statistics show that in 2016, roughly 18.6 million people in Germany had a migrant background.

“The exceptional increase was mainly attributable to the high level of immigration of foreigners, including people seeking refuge, in 2015 and 2016,” Destatis said Tuesday.

More than 1.6 million asylum-seekers are estimated to have entered Europe between 2014 and 2016, leading to the biggest refugee crisis since World War II. Most have settled in Germany. From 2015 on, Chancellor Merkel’s government has conducted what is now known as the ‘open-door’ migration policy, despite an avalanche of criticism from the public.

While other European countries continue to be the main source of immigrant inflows, the federal office noted that 2.3 million people in Germany have their roots in the Middle East. This, according to the latest data, represents an almost 51 percent increase compared to 2011.

Besides the Middle East, around 740,000 people in Germany are of African descent, with the figures having increased roughly by 46 percent compared to 2011.

Washington Behind the Mirror

0

by Gordon Duff, Veterans Today:

Russia thinks it is working with President Trump in Syria and is making progress in pushing NATO off its borders, or so one might gather from reading news available in late July of 2017. What Russia doesn’t know, and few in the US do either, is that the Pentagon, in particular, an extremist cabal, have been given a free hand.

Thus, when Secretary of State Tillerson threatens to resign, his deals, his efforts, continually undermined, he and the public think it involves President Trump and his family and the barrage of fantasy tweets that deluge the public from what many believe to be a president suffering from flight of ideas and lack of focus.

The real question might be not if but why Trump gave the Pentagon a free hand, why he trusts generals or who might be behind advising or controlling him. Nothing in Trump’s background should lend itself to militarism or trust in Pentagon knuckle draggers and “behind kissers.” No organization has fared more poorly than the Pentagon, losing war after war, losing trillions of dollars, broken weapons, tarnished reputations.

For every move toward improved relations in a world that can be defined as it was during the Cold War as “East v. West,” there are two moves toward conflict and confrontation.

As the fateful summer of 2017 wanes, the geopolitical rulebook has been tossed into the flames, perhaps forever. What is most dangerous is that few understand the power dynamics as well. Even more serious is that some of those working in the dark are potential adversaries, nuclear adversaries, and by this we are talking of Russia and China.

To begin with, we will outline the major fly in the ointment in regards to the rapprochement, real or imagined, between President Trump and Russia. The background for this, if given in any detail is both exhausting and wrought with fiction and artifice as well. Let us review.

Washington, whatever that is, now generally seen as a veritable sewer of bought and paid for political hacks subservient to special interest, think tanks that do everything but think and a press coined “phony” by Trump. The press is key here for a variety of reasons.

You see, the world analyzes US policy through the “fake news.” It has always been “fake,” or seemingly has for decades. With few quality journalists and most press outlets controlled by powerful corporate interests, the pin Trump stuck into the “fake news” balloon, exposing what has been going on for many years as “what it is,” made up lies and garbage, opened a door.

In stepped more lies and garbage, this time more fake than the other, with chaos theory and psychological warfare organizations drowning in capabilities from the overfunded phony war on terror and too much time on their hands now lending their useless talents toward disinforming the general public.

The result has been a divided US where “alternative facts” fabricated for a vulnerable demographic now competes with the “mainstream” now termed, and I believe rightly so, “fake news” to support different versions of a fictional narrative that resembles reality only in the most rarified and oblique manner.

So, in Washington, Russia seems to have rigged an American election and a new and unsettling executive branch, maybe working for Russia or someone, as no information from any source can be trusted, is now being investigated by groups long in the employ of special interests, many of which are clearly at odds with the welfare of the United States.

America has left itself open to dictatorship. It long since gave up its ability to govern itself, perhaps it was the central bank, the Federal Reserve in 1913 or more recent erosions of individual power such as the Citizens United Supreme Court decision of 2005. Whatever milestone one chooses, the remains of democratic institutions in the US are now difficult to find.

What we are left with is what increasingly seems to be factions, mistakenly defined as “right” or “far right” jockeying for control over America’s military, and with that, control over the planet itself.

You see, whoever controls the American military controls the world, unless a power bloc appears that can challenge, well, challenge what? If the Pentagon controls America’s military and the Pentagon is controlled by a cabal of religious extremists as many claim or corporate lackeys as most believe, then where does the world stand?

Then again, if Trump and his own Republican congress are at war over impeachment, and I assure you, little else is discussed in Washington, two sides of the same coin, servants of different masters, has all oversite of the newfound military power over American policy disappeared?

To this, we reluctantly say “yes.”

Thus, while “deconfliction” zones are discussed and planned in Syria or the CIA announces that it is dismantling its miniscule public “aid to terrorism” program, the Pentagon is planning the occupation and dismemberment of Iraq, preparing for war on Iran, on China, on Korea and on even Russia as well.

If congress continues to vilify Russia, seen by many as slavish adherence to Cold War dogma, what is the mindset in the Pentagon? Does anyone know?

Why is no one admitting that the Pentagon now sets policy? Does anyone know how this process works? Few are aware that when Trump chose his transition team, he sent a retired general named Jerry Boykin into the Pentagon with full authority to make any changes. We are told Boykin built a duplicate command structure than now sets US foreign policy, based on Christian prophesy and “end times” theology, forms of religious extremism that make ISIS and the Taliban seem mild in comparison.

Thus, when the State Department feels left out, isolated by a White House clearly operating beyond its grasp, how has a Pentagon equally out of control added to the chaos?

Town’s Entire Police Force Quits, Doesn’t Devolve Into Lawlessness

0

The entire police force of Sand Point, Alaska quit in July in a matter of just three weeks, leaving the town without any authoritative presence, and the transition has been smooth without any type of state enforcement agent.

Sand Point, an Alaskan island town with a population of about 1,000, had a police force of three officers and a police chief mid-July.

That’s when the officers, two of whom were a married couple, began to quit one after the other and then finally the police chief himself resigned.

City Administrator Andrew Varner said that the first officer wanted to be closer to a spouse who is in the military. A week later, two more officers, a married couple, left because of a “family decision.”

That left Sand Point police chief, Roger Bacon, who then decided to take a long-planned month-long vacation to Scotland. This decision cost him his job as a “mutual understanding” was reached between Bacon and the city council that if he left he wouldn’t be returning to his post.

“There was sort of a mutual understanding that if he left to go for a month-long journey — leaving the community with no law enforcement — that if he came back, he would not be an employee of the city,” Varner said. “Within a day or two, he had turned in his resignation.”

On July 20, the city of Sand Point released a press release calling for calm, stating that while the police department was “in transition,” citizens should “rest assured that the community will not be in a lawless state.”

Since the departure of the police force, the town has been calm. No more arrests and charges for fishing without a license, speeding down a public road or any of the other outrageous things that police across the nation try to enforce in the name of the state against the private individual citizen.

There was no Purgelike behavior, people weren’t killing each other without the police as is depicted in movies as propaganda for justifying the need for authoritative structure.

“Sand Point did not devolve into mass lawlessness,” Varner said.

“It’s not like the movie ‘The Purge,’ “in which all criminal activity becomes legal for a 12-hour period,” Alaskan State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters.

“Everyone was busy fishing, which was great,” Austin Roof, the general manager of the local public radio station KSDP 830 AM said.
