The New Movie ‘IT’ OMITTED CHILD ORGY SCENE THAT’S IN STEVEN KING’S DEPRAVED BOOK!

from The Vulture:

Since its publication in September of 1986, It has enjoyed a long shelf life, first as a book that spent 14 weeks at the top of the New York Times best-seller list and then worming into nightmares as a TV mini-series in 1990 starring Tim Curry as the titular demonic clown/embodiment of children’s deepest fears. The monster, which a group of kids simply name “It,” manifests as something different for each person based on their specific fears — burning houses, lepers, a dead sibling — and, perhaps because of this, the story has maintained a compelling hold on our collective psyches for more than 30 years. This week, It hits theaters for the first time as a feature film, with a script that was originally set to be directed by Cary Fukunaga, before New Line decided to pivot to Andy Muschietti. (Fukunaga retains a writing credit on a reworked script).

But one controversial scene from King’s novel has dogged the book and subsequent adaptations. After defeating It, the kids get lost in the sewer tunnels on the way out; this is attributed in part to the fact that they’re losing their “connection” to one another. The solution is to bind them together, which Beverly — the only girl in the story’s main group of protagonists, called “the Losers” — says can only happen if each of the boys has sex with her. Where they’re timid and unsure, she’s confident and maternal. (King writes the first boy Eddie comes to her “the way he would have come to his mother.”) The sex is a “consensual” gang bang, with each of the boys losing his virginity, and thus entering manhood, through Beverly.

The ’80s was a bonkers time, but the orgy scene in particular has aged poorly; critics and readers looking back at it have called it everything from “disturbing” to “sick” to “insane.” A Reddit reader from last year simply asked, “WTF?” and generated over 500 comments. For almost ten exhaustive pages, King describes each of the boys having sex with Beverly and their orgasms as a version of “flying.” (You also get the sense that King is a bit of a size queen.) Beverly’s desires are positioned as a way for her to overcome her own fears around sex, but mostly the narrative centers on how the boys literally enter adulthood through Beverly’s vagina. Kingreleased a statement a few years ago through his fan site Stephenking.com, where he wrote, “I wasn’t really thinking of the sexual aspect of it… Intuitively, the Losers knew they had to be together again. The sexual act connected childhood and adulthood.” Perhaps most horrifying to modern sensibilities is that there is no talk of birth control, condoms, or a realization that a circle jerk would have sufficed.

When the new adaptation was announced, many wondered whether it would feature the scene, or some version of it (though the 1990 version eschewed it entirely). As fans often like to say: It’s canon. So does the new version feature a bunch of kids engaging in an orgy? The tl;dr version: No. But while it evades the obvious graphic horror and legal problems of minors simulating group sex, the new film retains a lot of the original scene’s problems — namely, its regressive gender politics and sexualization of its adolescent-girl lead.

The 2017 film flattens and reduces Beverly as a character in retrograde ways. It plays up the love triangle between Beverly (Sophia Lillis), Bill (the protagonist played by Jaeden Lieberher, who loses his little brother Georgie at the start of the film), and the chubby kid, Ben (Jeremy Ray Taylor), who pines for Bev and writes her a precocious love haiku. The climax of the film — when the Losers reconnect to defeat It after they initially disband — is prompted by It capturing Beverly and taking her to its lair. From there, it’s a classic tale of a damsel in distress: When Bev’s friends come upon her, she’s suspended in midair, like a pendant lamp. The boys eventually get her down, but she’s zoned out, her eyes clouded over. And just as in Sleeping Beauty, Ben kisses her and she awakens. She exists first and foremost as an object of their desire.

It’s an odd decision, in part because this is a more classically sexist narrative than what Fukunaga and Chase Palmer wrote in their original screenplay (which was leaked online after Fukunaga and the studio parted due to “creative differences”). In fact, some of the major differences between the old and new scripts involve Beverly in this way; the new script sexualizes her several times, like when she flirts with a middle-aged cashier at a pharmacy to help the boys steal some supplies. (In the Fukunaga script, the hypochondriac kid Eddie, played by Jack Dylan Grazer, fakes a medical emergency). In Fukunaga and Palmer’s version, Beverly flirts with zero old dudes and needs no saving. She goes with the boys to Pennywise’s lair, launches herself into a waterfall and goes headlong into the fight.

The Fukunaga script does have elements of physical horror that hew more closely to the book. But the focus is different: Beverly’s It manifests as blood — buckets of blood that spew from the sink — and Fukunaga makes it clear that the blood is a metaphor for her own fears around growing up and becoming a “woman,” something she fears would make her more of a sexual object to men, including her father. The new version, on the other hand, removes the physical horror, but leaves in the male gaze: Her father leers at her, calling her his “little girl” and attempting to harm her physically, but there is no blatant indication of sexual abuse. And while the bathroom blood remains, it’s not visually connected to her period or to her fear of her dad, making it seem displaced and random.

Christian Homeschooling Becoming Popular in Russia…Finally

from Russia Insider:

This US model, called Classical Conversations, speaks directly to the needs of Russian Christians for an educational system that supports family, community, and Christianity.

This article originally appeared on a new site about the Christian renaissance in Russia, called Russian Faith. Their introductory video is at end of this article.

Since Russia has so swiftly become the world’s official bulwark of conservative values, it is quite surprising that it has systematically lagged behind in one obvious realm: Homeschooling.

For most Russians, homeschooling has always been enveloped in a fantastical aura, something associated mainly with special needs and/or with Amish-like Protestant groups in America.

But lately, as more Russian Christian families gain a voice, energized by growing state supports and society’s intensifying religiosity, the demand for alternatives to the official public school system, corrupted by materialism and Darwinism during the Soviet Regime and, now, by liberal values, has grown more popular and apparent.

More and more Russian parents are frightened and reluctant to hand over their child’s education into the hands of strangers, realizing, that in doing so, they are also relinquishing the moral upbringing of their own child, and allowing them to become inculcated with morals and values that may be completely foreign.

This is where Alexey Komov and Irina Shamolina, the pioneers of homeschooling in Russia, come in. The Russian couple, passionate about education, homeschools their three sons. Irina leads a popular blog about education and Alexey is the representative the World Congress of Families in Russia. Both have been fascinated by, and intensely studying, homeschooling since 2012.  With time, they came to the conviction that homeschooling options were urgently needed in Russia.

They traveled regularly to the US, which has the most developed homeschooling systems in the world, trying to learn about and experience the lively Christian homeschooling scene of the country.

They finally settled upon the Classical Conversations, a Christian homeschooling organization, started in the 1990s by Leigh Bortins in North Carolina. The model creates communities of homeschooling Christian families that meet weekly and aims to teach children in a classical manner. It is based on educational theories gleaned from Ancient Greece and the Trivium concept of the Middle Ages.

Thus, the child is homeschooled for most of the week, and the parents nurture and teach their own child within their intimate family circle. However, this system also addresses the need of the child…and the often ignored need of the parents…for socialization and community with like-minded people with weekly meetings. These also always begin with prayer and provide children with skills that parents may not be able to develop in children on their own.

Aleksey Komov and Irina Shamolina adopted the existing Christian homeschool curriculum and translated the resources. They also worked to adapt the program to a Russian Orthodox perspective, making it relevant to Russian culture and reality.

They found American supporters, and along with other Russian enthusiasts, helped them create an utterly beautiful website.

The program launched this fall, is 27 cities and 370 kids strong – in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. It has met with unexpected, lively interest and seems to be turning into a movement among Russian Christians.

Importantly, Classical Conversations in Russia also immediately received wildly enthusiastic support from one of the most famous priests in Russia, Fr. Dmitry Smirnov.  Fr. Dmitry is incredibly popular and has a huge audience, perhaps bigger than that of any other religious figure in Russia. He is also the head the of the Russian Church’s Department for Family.

by Chris Menahan, Information Liberation:

Democratic 2020 presidential candidate Rep Tulsi Gabbard said Wednesday that President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are continuing to “hide the truth from their Christian supporters” that terrorist attacks like the one in Sri Lanka are “inspired by the extremist Saudi ideology that Saudi Arabia spends billions propagating worldwide.”

BARNA GROUP SHOCK POLL REVEALS THAT 47% OF ALL CHRISTIAN MILLENNIALS BELIEVE THAT WITNESSING THE GOSPEL AND EVANGELIZING IS WRONG

by Geoffrey Grinder, Now The End Begins:

In a study entitled “Reviving Evangelism” the Barna Group, a research center that tracks faith and spirituality in American life, reported that 94% of practicing American Christian agreed that “the best thing that could ever happen to someone is for them to know Jesus.” On the other hand, the same study found that 47% of Christian millennials believe that evangelism is wrong.

The vast majority of practicing Christian millennials believe that knowing Jesus is “the best thing that could happen to someone,” while nearly half believe evangelizing is wrong, a study conducted by the Barna Group reported.

Google Labels Religious Beliefs ‘Toxic’ With Censorship AI Program – ‘This Is The Empire Of Darkness With Google Acting As SkyNet’

0

by Susan Duclos, All News Pipeline:

Back in February 2017, Wired highlighted a new Google AI tool, named “Perspective,”  supposedly created to help fight online “trolling.” When completed the API claims it will give “any developer access to the anti-harassment tools that Jigsaw has worked on for over a year.”

Enter a sentence into its interface, and Jigsaw says its AI can immediately spit out an assessment of the phrase’s “toxicity” more accurately than any keyword blacklist, and faster than any human moderator.

To understand how prevalent this technology will be used online by news outlets, by June 2017, it was announced that The New York Times was “going to expand the availability of online comments from 10 percent of articles to 80 percent by the end of the year, without adding more moderators to its staff,” by  “rolling out a new structure of comment moderation using software from Google called Perspective,” by using a Moderator tool that would “automatically approve some comments and help moderators wade through others more quickly.”

According to Google’s “Perspective” website, the term “Toxic” is defined as “a rude, disrespectful, or unreasonable comment that is likely to make you leave a discussion.”

What we found when we started running direct quotes from the bible into their “Writing Experiment,” where people can type in something they may say in a comment section regarding an issue, was that ambiguous bible passages received low “toxic” ratings, while passages reflecting religious beliefs on marriage, infidelity, adultery, and other related issues are considered by those that programmed this AI bot, as highly “toxic.”

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ON MORALITY ARE CONSIDERED ‘TOXIC’ BY GOOGLE

This morning I ran across an excellent experiment conducted by Conservative Tribune, where they provide 27 examples of Google’s censorship bot, rating a random number of statements and phrases as “toxic,” such as the statement “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools,” said to 87{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} likely to be perceived as ‘toxic’.”

Other statements such as “Jews have a right to exist,” and “Hillary Clinton is a criminal,” and “Obamacare is disastrous,”  all received high levels of perceived toxicity,” yet comparison examples dealing with race issues, show a startling bias.

For example: Conservative Tribune tested the statement “Blacks have no rights,” which was judged as 63{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} likely to be perceived as toxic, yet flip the statement around, to “Whites have no rights,” and it that statement is only 10{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} likely to be perceived as toxic.

All 27 examples can be seen here.

That experiment got me thinking of exactly what the globalists at Google would teach their bots about religion and religious beliefs and many verses that were innocuous  received low “toxic” ratings,  others, in fact most that deal with any type of morality, are list with extremely high percentages of “Likely to be perceived toxic.”

For example, Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me,” was on 2{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} likely to be perceived as toxic, but Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death,” is listed as “66{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} likely to be perceived as ‘toxic’.”

In other words, as was said to me in an email this morning while discussing this issue, “Anything that goes against perversion and the globalists is considered toxic. This is the empire of darkness with Google acting as SkyNet.”

MYSTERIOUS NEW SYNAGOGUE OPENS IN TUNNEL DEEP UNDER THE WESTERN WALL IN JERUSALEM ON TEMPLE MOUNT

0

by Geoffrey Grider, Now The End Begins:

The synagogue, which was funded by donations from the Delek Foundation and Delek Group owner Yitzhak Tshuva, is deep inside the complex and is adjacent to the area above which the ancient Jewish temples on the Temple Mount stood, and the inner sanctum of the Holy of Holies in particular. The subterranean synagogue has a dramatic feel to it, with low arched ceilings and walls of ancient stones on all sides, and a unique spherical, metal ark to house Torah scrolls.

A REMARKABLE NEW SYNAGOGUE WITHIN THE WESTERN WALL TUNNELS COMPLEX WHICH TOOK 12 YEARS TO BUILD WAS DEDICATED AND OPENED ON MONDAY NIGHT FOLLOWING THE TRADITIONAL HANUKKAH CANDLE LIGHTING CEREMONY IN THE WESTERN WALL PLAZA.

“For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.” Jeremiah 29:10 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: With all the news and controversy over President Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and the renewed talk about building the Third Jewish Temple, I find this story fascinating and timely. This very end times looking synagogue has been built by a Jewish billionaire who wanted a house of worship in the shadow of the original Temple. The fact that is deep underground in a 2,000+ year old tunnel under the Western Wall is, well, leaping right off the pages of a Left Behind plot twist. We will absolutely be keeping an eye on this and everything else happening at God’s ground zero, Jerusalem!

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS – THE WESTERN WALL TUNNELS IN JERUSALEM:

I could not find a video on the new synagogue in particular, but check out this incredible video about the structure of the Western Wall. Click here to view if reading this via email.

The ark’s walls are formed of the words and sentences of the “Shema Yisrael” prayer and the Biblical Book of the Song of Songs cast in metal and running the entire circumference of the sphere, topped by a cast metal sculpture of the burning bush.

VEGAS SHOOTING: It’s All About Trauma for Your Mind!

from FaceLikeTheSun:

The New World Order has been planned for decades, if not centuries. The recent events of chaos in our weather, combined with terrible acts of violence in public places are both an outcome, and symptom to a larger problem. The world systems are all broken because they are being run by imperfect humans (us). And while the elite attempt to escape the limits of this world, Jesus already defied it in His resurrection on our behalf. The trauma imposed upon our generation is deep and scarring. It will bring about a psychologically incoherent upheaval, capable of massive forms of technological deceptions.

Head of Russian Church: Godless West is ‘Uprooting Faith From Society’

0

by James Bogardus, Russia Insider:

“We Russians are a people … who have passed through the difficult stages of denial of God’s existence and … have now turned to God  – and what we see is wonderful.”

This short excerpt is a particularly good example of the almost daily sermons the head of the Russian church, Kirill, gives as he travels around Russia. They are all broadcast on Russian Christian TV channels and on the internet and reach a wide audience.

Kirill is a remarkably good speaker. Here, he puts into a nutshell the stark spiritual divergence of Russia and the West.

Very interesting, and very revealing.

We are not sure of the date of this recording, but it is relatively recent.

Full transcript follows below:

Full Transcript:

We know that some developed and powerful countries, using their wealth and power, are trying to uproot faith from their societies.

That does not mean that the people of these countries no longer have faith, rather it is just harder and harder for them to confess it.

We are a people, Holy Rus, Russia, who have passed through the difficult stages of full denial of God’s existence and any presence of God in people’s lives, have now turned to God and what we see is wonderful.

HEAD OF THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH PATRIARCH KIRILL WARNS THAT ANTICHRIST WILL ‘CONTROL HUMAN BEINGS’ THROUGH OUR SMART DEVICES

0

by Geoffrey Grinder, Now The End Begins:

Patriarch Kirill said that the collection of user data including “location, interests and fears” will make it possible for humans to be controlled by external forces. “Control from a single point is a harbinger of the coming of the Antichrist,” Kirill told the state-run Rossia-1 TV network on Orthodox Christmas Monday. “The Antichrist is a personality that will be at the head of the world wide web controlling the entire human race. Thus, the structure itself presents a danger,” he said. The church leader stressed that “if we don’t want to bring the apocalypse closer, there should be no single [control and access] center.”

31 PROMINENT CATHOLIC THEOLOGIANS AND CLERGY ACCUSE POPE FRANCIS OF HERESY, ISSUES CALL FOR HIM TO REPENT OR VACATE THE PAPAL THRONE

by Geoffrey Grinder, Now The End Begins:

The 20-page document is a follow-up to the 2017 Filial Correction of Pope Francis that was signed originally by 62 scholars and which stated that the Pope has “effectively upheld 7 heretical positions about marriage, the moral life, and the reception of the sacraments, and has caused these heretical opinions to spread in the Catholic Church,” especially in light of his 2016 exhortation Amoris Laetitia. The authors of the open letter state in a summary of their letter that it has now become clear that Pope Francis is aware of his own positions contrary to the faith and that the time has come to go a “stage further” by claiming that Pope Francis is “guilty of the crime of heresy.”

The Origin of the Separation of Church and State

0

by Jeff Thomas, International Man:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

Americans can be justifiably proud of their founding fathers’ insistence on a separation of Church and State. And, yet, surprisingly, very few Americans seem to understand what their founding fathers meant by this concept.

Conservative politicians take pride is saying that the US is, primarily, a Christian nation and that their Christian forefathers fought King George in order to have the freedom to practice Christianity as they saw fit.

Liberal politicians tend to take an opposing view—that separation of Church and State means that the concept of God has no place in government. In fact, some go so far as to say that landmarks, such as a plaque stating that George Washington attended a specific church, should be removed, as it compromises the separation of Church and State.

Unfortunately, both these groups have got it wrong.

So, let’s take a step back and have a look at what caused Thomas Jefferson to repeatedly insist that the separation be implemented in the US Constitution.

Mister Jefferson attended the College of William & Mary, where he received the university customary education, but went on to study law privately under George Wythe in Williamsburg, Virginia. Mister Wythe was not only his teacher, but his mentor, a man in his latter years who not only imparted knowledge to the young Jefferson, but wisdom. He frequented the Raleigh Tavern with his pupil, but additionally brought him to banquets at the mansion of Governor Fauquier, in an effort to expand his outlook.

I believe that it’s safe to say that, when Mister Jefferson completed his education at age thirty-four, he had both the energy and imagination of youth and the wisdom of the elders at his command. The former gave him his drive and the latter provided him with the farsightedness that guided the writing of the American Constitution and the future direction of the new nation.

George Wythe lived conveniently next door to the Governor. (His home is still there today, as is his small study where he taught the future president.) On the other side of his home was Bruton Parish Church. In the 18th Century, one could not be elected to office unless he was a member of the Church of England. As Attorney General, Mister Wythe tolerated this, but taught his pupil that, as a free man, he should not be required to be an Anglican.

To add insult to injury, Mister Jefferson was not a Christian, but a Deist, as were several others of the founding fathers. He did believe in his own form of a God and even referred to him in the first sentence of the Declaration of Independence, but did not ascribe to him the power of miracles and omnipotence, as described in the Bible.

In addition, he regarded Jesus as an admirable human being, but did not regard him as anything more. (In later years, he would create his own Bible, by removing much of what he considered to be latter-day additions to the King James Bible, leaving little more than the words of Jesus.)

In spite of his beliefs, Mister Jefferson was required to be a (paid-up) member of the Anglican Church in order to sit in the House of Burgesses, and he chafed at this requirement.

However, he was a deep believer in the concept of God as a being with both consciousness and conscience, who he believed took no direct part in the affairs of man, but did create all men as equals and therefore entitled them to “certain unalienable Rights.”

But he saw the Church differently. He regarded it as a political organization, controlled by the King, intended to dictate morals and acceptable behaviour.
