More than two dozen women who have accused Jeffrey Epstein of sexually assaulting them, most when they were underage girls, appeared in Federal Court in Manhattan yesterday. Some had their lawyers read their statement but 16 spoke on their own behalf. The theme consistent throughout their testimony is that the Justice Department must prosecute Epstein’s accomplices – anything less is a failure of justice. Two names were repeatedly mentioned by the women: Ghislaine Maxwell and Sarah Kellen. But the powerful royalty, lawyers and Wall Street titans who have been accused of being part of Epstein’s ring and participating in sexual assaults of underage girls must also be charged by the perpetually recalcitrant U.S. Justice Department.
by Joseph Curl, The Gateway Pundit:
One of Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyers said he and other attorneys for the billionaire pedophile “did not see a despairing, despondent, suicidal person,” adding that they are “skeptical” he committed suicide in a maximum security prison.
Lawyer Reid Weingarten also told Judge Richard Berman in U.S. District Court in Manhattan during a hearing on Tuesday that the injuries suffered by Epstein are “far more consistent with assault” than suicide. An autopsy found that Epstein had broken bones in his neck after he died Aug. 10, injuries more common in strangulation than hanging.
Epstein’s own defense team doesn’t buy the suicide narrative, apparently, as one of his lawyers on Tuesday voiced deep skepticism that he hanged himself while addressing a final hearing in a Manhattan US District Court on Tuesday, which was held to formally dismiss the charges as is typical when the accused is deceased, but also to still allow testimony of some of the victims.

No one could have predicted this!
At least one camera in the hallway outside the cell where authorities say registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein killed himself earlier this month had footage that is unusable, although other, clearer footage was captured in the area, according to three people briefed on the evidence gathered earlier this month.
Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell ‘groped two sisters, aged 25 and 16, at the pedophile’s properties, referred to new recruits as “nubiles”, and threatened to KILL them if they reported the sexual abuse’
by Megan Sheets, Daily Mail:
- Maria and Annie Farmer recounted the abuse they allegedly suffered at Epstein and Maxwell’s hands in an article published by the New York Times on Monday
- Maria was a 25-year-old aspiring artist when she met Epstein in 1996
- She introduced him to her 16-year-old sister Annie that same year
- Annie claims Maxwell groped her breasts at Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico
- Around the same time Maria claims Maxwell and Epstein simultaneously assaulted her at the millionaire’s home in Ohio
- The sisters tried to report the alleged abuse were met by vicious threats from Maxwell and disbelief from authorities and those who knew Epstein
- The sisters were previously shut out from filing lawsuits by New York’s statute of limitations
- A recently-passed change in the law however opens up the possibility for them
Update2: All said and done, Tuesday’s hearing revealed that Epstein’s attorneys are skeptical of the official determination that he committed suicide, and asked Judge Berman to oversee an investigation into the 66-year-old’s death.
Meanwhile, a separate group of FBI agents and prosecutors are doing the same.
As noted below, prosecutors made clear that a dismissal against Epstein does not mean the investigaion into co-conspirators will end, nor will it prevent the US Government from pursuing assets via civil forfeiture.
Berman took no action on the motion to dismiss. According to Bloomberg, he may do it in writing, or he may take time to think it over since some of the victims’ lawyers asked him to keep the record open.

Far from being the work of a single political party, intelligence agency or country, the power structure revealed by the network connected to Epstein is nothing less than a criminal enterprise that is willing to use and abuse children in the pursuit of ever more power, wealth and control.
On August 10th, and for several days after, speculation swirled after it was announced that Jeffrey Epstein had been found dead in his cell. His cause of death has officially been ruled suicide by hanging.
Epstein, the billionaire pedophile and sex trafficker with a myriad of connections to the rich and powerful in the United States and several other countries, had told those close to him that he had feared for his life prior to his sudden “suicide,” the Washington Post reported, while his defense lawyers claimed that he had planned to cooperate with federal authorities.
by Joseph Curl, The Gateway Pundit:
The lawyer for three of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged victims says he has been told by a “prison source” that convicted pedophile was murdered.
“Spencer Kuvin, who previously predicted that Epstein would not live to see his trial, alleges that an anonymous prison worker contacted him to say it was ‘highly unlikely’ the 66-year-old killed himself,” The Daily Mail reports.
