Why The Senate Vote to End Yemen War is So Important

by Ron Paul, Ron Paul Institute:

Last week something historic happened in the US Senate. For the first time in 45 years, a chamber of the US Congress voted to pull US forces from a military conflict under the 1973 War Powers Act.

While there is plenty to criticize in the War Powers Act, in this situation it was an important tool used by a broad Senate coalition to require President Trump to end US participation in the Saudi war against Yemen. And while the resolution was not perfect – there were huge loopholes – it has finally drawn wider attention to the US Administration’s dirty war in Yemen.

The Psychological Warfare Behind Economic Collapse

by Brandon Smith, Alt Market:

The concept of using the economy as a weapon is not an alien one to most people. Generally, we understand the nature of feudalism and how various groups can be herded onto centralized plantations to be exploited for their labor. Some people see this as a consequence of “capitalism,” and others see it as an extension of socialism/communism. Sadly, many people wrongly assume that one is a solution to the other — meaning they think that crony capitalism is a solution to communist centralization or that communism is a solution to the corruption of crony capitalism. The reality is that this is just another false paradigm.

RUSSIA, CHINA, AND THOSE IONOSPHERIC HEATERS AND OTHER STUFF: PART ONE

by Joseph P. Farrell, Giza Death Star:

Well, now it’s official, more or less. We’ve always known that Russia and China (as well as Europe and a couple of other places, Japan… you get the idea) have their own versions of HAARP (High Altitude Auroral Research Project). And we’ve always known that they have been just as active in heating up regions of the atmosphere along with the USA with its HAARP, and Europe(i.e., Germany) with its EISCAT. This story was spotted by several regular readers and contributors of stories, and the article, in effect, makes it “official”: Russia and China are coordinating and cooperating in their own experiments using the Russian SURA facility. The real question for our high octane speculation of the day, is why admit it now?

WikiLeaks exposes US embassies stockpiling spy gear

from RT:

US embassies abroad have been buying spying tools, papers released by WikiLeaks show. The documents revealed that one embassy has ordered almost 100 spy cams masked as ties, caps, pens, buttons and watches.

The US Embassy Shopping List, a collection of over 16,000 procurement requests filed by US embassies around the globe, was published by WikiLeaks on Friday, a day after a targeted DDoS attack briefly disabled all of its Twitter accounts.

by Susan Duclos, All News Pipeline:

New York Post: “Roy Moore flooded with fake Russian Twitter followers”

Donald Trump Is Going To Have To Shut Down The Government For At Least A Month If He Really Wants Border Wall Funding

by Michael Snyder, End Of The American Dream:

President Trump has decided to stand up and fight for funding for the border wall that he has been promising the American people.  And that is probably a very good thing for Trump’s political future, because news that he was going to surrender to the Democrats on border wall funding had already stirred up a tremendous conservative backlash.  Without the enthusiastic support of conservatives, there is no way that Trump can win in 2020, and so he needs to be a man of his word and keep his promises.  But now that he has announced that he is going to fight, he also needs to be prepared to be in this for the long haul.  Chuck Schumer is not going to give in after a few days.  In fact, Democrats in Congress are convinced that a government shutdown could be completely blamed on Trump and would be very good for them politically, and so they have no intention of compromising with Trump.  So if President Trump really wants border wall funding, he is going to have to shut the government down for at least a month, and ultimately it may take even longer than that.

Tucker Carlson Absolutely Destroys the Ridiculous Russiagate Hoax (Video)

by Michael Quinn, Russia Insider:

Tucker is challenging the MSM narrative like none other. He’s been incredibly bold in the last two weeks on everything from foreign policy to immigration reform – his positions practically concur with the Alt-Right at this point – and that is a good!

His commentary on border security was incredible. He directly called out the hypocrisy in Democratic supporters of Israel with double standards on border security last week:

Nolte — NBC News Contributor: If We Can’t Indict Donald Trump, Let’s Go After His Children

by John Nolte, Breitbart:

NBC News legal analyst Jill Wine-Banks is publicly floating the idea of indicting President Trump’s children if no way can be found to indict him.

“I firmly believe the Constit[ution] permits indicting a sitting president, but if DOJ disagrees, indicting his children, the Trump Org & Foundation for their roles in wrongdoing is a great alternative–or addition[,]” she tweeted on Thursday:

US Military Ordered to Withdraw 7,000 Troops From Afghanistan

from The Anti Media:

CNN warns that US officials are bracing themselves for Trump’s announcement on Afghanistan after his bombshell Syria troop pullout announcement on Wednesday. Trump has now initiated “a major drawdown” of forces in Afghanistan, and while inside the beltway neocon heads might continue to explode, the broader public for which the seventeen year long Afghan war is deeply unpopular will no doubt cheer the move. And already NBC reports Thursday evening that based on defense sources, the White House has already asked the Pentagon to draw up plans presenting “multiple options” including a “complete withdrawal.”
