Whose Country Is This? Is the Constitution Even Welcome Here Anymore?

by John W. Whitehead, Rutherford Institute:

“The first time it was reported that our friends were being butchered there was a cry of horror. Then a hundred were butchered. But when a thousand were butchered and there was no end to the butchery, a blanket of silence spread. When evil-doing comes like falling rain, nobody calls out ‘stop!’ When crimes begin to pile up they become invisible. When sufferings become unendurable the cries are no longer heard. The cries, too, fall like rain in summer.” ― Bertolt Brecht, Selected Poems

There are days I wake up, and I’m not sure what country I live in anymore.

There are days I wake up and want to go right back to sleep in the hopes that this surreal landscape of government-sanctioned injustice, corruption and brutality is just a really bad dream.

There are days I am so battered by the never-ending wave of bad news that I have little outrage left in me: I am numb.

FOOD FORESTS COULD BRING HEALTHY ORGANIC FOOD TO EVERYONE: FOR FREE

by Andrew Martin, Collective Evolution:

Food forests or Forest gardening have been around for a long time with many of the native cultures practicing this form of sustainable agriculture. It is a form of low-maintenance plant-based food production which replicates natural ecosystems, incorporating fruit and nut trees, shrubs, herbs, running vines and perennial vegetables. Beneficial plants and companion planting is a big part of the food forest system.

Unlike much of the modern industrial agricultural system which relies heavily of inputs such as fossil fuels and artificial herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers, a food forest once established is self-regulating and highly abundant in yield.

US Warns Of “Firm” Response If Syria Attacks ISIS … No, Really

by Brandon Turbeville, Activist Post:

In an apparent attempt to remove all pretense that the United States is nothing more than al-Qaeda’s Air Force in Syria, the American government is warning its Syrian counterpart that, if the SAA moves ahead with its upcoming southern offensive to remove ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorists from its southern borders, the U.S. will take “firm and appropriate measures.

In other words, the United States is telling Syria that it had better not attack ISIS forces or else. Indeed, American “Firm and appropriate measures” seems like a very thinly veiled threat of military action particularly since the United States seems incapable of taking any “measures” that aren’t “kinetic” in nature outside of its borders.

EyeTheSpy… BackChannel17 All Over Again? #BeCarefulWhoYouFollow

from Neon Revolt:

People keep asking what I think of @EyetheSpy (on twitter).

So much so, that I thought it worth my time to just write up a quick post and go on the record.

So… what do I think of him?

Fake.

100% Fake.

As a general rule of thumb, anyone claiming to be intel, and who still communicates on twitter (complete with their tracking and censorship algorithms), out in the open, is a total LARP.

America’s Incredible Shrinking Influence

by Ron Paul, Ron Paul Institute:

Just two weeks after President Trump pulled the US from the Iran nuclear agreement, his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, issued 12 demands to Iran that could never be satisfied. Pompeo knew his demands would be impossible to meet. They were designed that way. Just like Austria-Hungary’s ultimatum to Serbia in July, 1914, that led to the beginning of World War I. And just like the impossible demands made of Milosevic in 1999 and of Saddam Hussein in 1991 and 2003, and so many other times when Washington wanted war. These impossible demands are tools of war rather than steps toward peace.

How Systems Collapse

by Charles Hugh Smith, Of Two Minds:

This is how systems collapse: faith in the visible surface of abundance reigns supreme, and the fragility of the buffers goes unnoticed.

I often discuss systems and systemic collapse, and I’ve drawn up a little diagram to illustrate a key dynamic in systemic collapse. The key concepts here are stability and buffers. Though complex systems are never static, but they can be stable: that is, they ebb and flow within relatively stable boundaries supported by reserves, i.e. buffers.

The Blatant Conspiracy behind Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s Assassination

by Edward Curtin, Global Research:

Early in 1968, Clyde Tolson, F.B.I. Director J. Edgar Hoover’s deputy and bosom buddy, a key player in the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., expressed both the hope and intent of those making sure that there would never be another president by the name Kennedy, when he said about RFK that “I hope someone shoots and kills the son of a bitch.” Earlier, as reported by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in his new book, American Values: Lessons I Learned from My Family, the influential conservative Westbrook Pegler expressed this hope even more depravingly when he wished “that some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter [Robert Kennedy’s] spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies.”

Senator Chuck Schumer Tells Press How They Should Report On Spygate

by Tim Brown, Freedom OutPost:

When it comes to Chuck Schumer, no one should be listening to him and he has no business telling anyone how to report on the criminal actions of the FBI and the Obama administration.

It’s amazing, and yet not surprising, that Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) would take to Twitter to tell those in the media and the press how they should be reporting on Spygate.

On Monday, Schumer tweeted, “Memo to the press: When you quote the president saying “spygate,” it is only fair to immediately follow that by noting there is absolutely no evidence of a spy being inserted in his campaign. It seems to me, failure to do so is a disservice to your readers, viewers & the country.”

Armed citizen in OKC stops mass shooting with a concealed weapon, proving once again that armed citizens HALT violence

by JD Heyes, The Common Sense Show:

Without a doubt, more than a few customers who were eating at Louie’s Bar & Grill in Oklahoma City Thursday evening are grateful to be alive after a gunman walked in and started shooting.

And no doubt more than a few of them are relieved that a good guy with a gun managed to kill the potential murderer before he was able to turn his gun on them.

As reported by local media, OKC police were also relieved that the Good Samaritan manage to put an end to what could have been just the latest mass shooting in the U.S.

Caged Migrant Children Photo Goes Viral As Left Rages At Trump; Except It Happened Under Obama

0

from ZeroHedge:

A photograph of two migrant children sleeping in a cage at an ICE detention facility quickly went viral on Sunday after several prominent liberals tweeted it in a white-hot rage at President Trump’s immigration policy.

After a laundry list of journalists and public figures angrily tweeted the photo – including CNN’s Hadas Gold, NYT Mag’s editor-in-chief Jake Silverstein, Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau and former LA mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, they deleted their tweets in shame when it emerged that the photo was taken in 2014, under Obama.
