Poll: Opinion On Kavanaugh Shifts Strongly When People Are Told Witnesses Don’t Corroborate Allegations

by James Barrett, Daily Wire:

Amid polls showing that Americans are deeply divided along partisan lines over sexual allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, a new survey found the opinions on whether the Supreme Court nominee should be confirmed hinge largely on the FBI’s findings this week.

The Harvard CAPS/Harris survey also found that when people are told that the three named witnesses do not corroborate the accusations of Christine Blasey Ford, opinion shifts decisively in Kavanaugh’s favor.

Coming To America: Travellers refusing digital search now face $5000 Customs fine

by Craig McCulloch, Radio New Zealand:

Travellers who refuse to hand over their phone or laptop passwords to Customs officials can now be slapped with a $5000 fine.

The Customs and Excise Act 2018 – which comes into effect today – sets guidelines around how Customs can carry out “digital strip-searches”.

Previously, Customs could stop anyone at the border and demand to see their electronic devices. However, the law did not specify that people had to also provide a password.

The updated law makes clear that travellers must provide access – whether that be a password, pin-code or fingerprint – but officials would need to have a reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing.

Vandals Spray-Paint ‘Rape,’ ‘Shame’ All Over GOP HQ in Winnebago County, Media Ignores

by Chris Menahan, Information Liberation:

The Winnebago County Republican headquarters was vilely defaced in the wake of Judge Kavanaugh’s hearings and the national media couldn’t care less.

From RRStar:

ROCKFORD — The Winnebago County Republican Headquarters was vandalized with sprawling spray paint of the words “rape” and “shame” all across the building at 515 N. Court St. downtown.

Rockford police officers at the building said the graffiti was spotted by an officer on patrol shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday.

“I hope whoever is responsible for this will be brought to justice,” state Rep. John Cabello, R-Machesney Park, wrote on his Facebook page. “You are a coward for doing it unless you come forward!”

144 House Democrats approve of illegal aliens voting in U.S. elections

from Fellowship Of The Minds:

Democrats are the Anti-America Party of Lawlessness.

Congressional resolutions are not laws. They are not legislative in character, but are statements of intent or declarations used primarily to express principles, facts, opinions, and purposes. When Congress seeks to pass a law, it uses either a bill or a joint resolution, which must be passed by both houses in identical form, and then presented to the president for approval or disapproval.

A resolution by the House of Representatives, therefore, is neither a bill nor a joint resolution, but instead is simply a declaration to express some principle, fact, opinion, or purpose.

Mainstream media is on its deathbed

The EU Finally Stands Up for Itself Over US Iran Sanctions

by Pepe Escobar Russia Insider:

History may one day rule this was the fateful geopolitical moment when the European Union clinched its PhD on foreign policy.

Last week, EU foreign policy head Federica Mogherini and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, announced at the UN a “special purpose vehicle” (SPV) to deal with the Trump administration’s sanctions on Iran after the US unilaterally pulled out of the JCPOA,  also known as the Iran nuclear deal.

Father of World Wide Web Launches Radical Startup to Take Back the Internet from Google & Facebook

by Matt Agorist, The Free Thought Project:

“For people who want to make sure the Web serves humanity, we have to concern ourselves with what people are building on top of it,” Tim Berners-Lee told Vanity Fair last month. “I was devastated” he said while going through a litany of harmful and dangerous developments of the past three decades of the web.

That’s why “the Father of the World Wide Web” has launched a start-up that intends to end the dominance of Facebook, Google, and Amazon, while in the process letting individuals take back control of their own data.

Kavanaugh Circus Alienating Moderate Democrats And Independents As Liberals Whine After Getting Exactly What They Wanted

by Susan Duclos, All News Pipeline:

After the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to move the Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the full Senate for a confirmation vote, President Trump gave the Democrat politicians exactly what they asked for, ordering a “supplemental”  FBI investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file.

“I’ve ordered the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file,” Trump said in a statement. “As the Senate has requested, this update must be limited in scope and completed in less than one week.”

This one week delay sent conservatives heads’, mine included, collectively crashing to our desks, but after seeing the FBI immediately start contacting the first two accusers, as well as the collective whining by liberals and Democrat politicians, I have begun to see the method behind the madness.

The Answer To Kavanaugh-Style Smears

by Karl Denninger, Market Ticker:

The report was provided to WaPo from the prosecutor who the Republicans hired for the Ford hearing, and it’s damning.

It’s not known where WaPo got it, but it doesn’t really matter — since it appears to be fully-factual.

The bottom line is that as I pointed out Ford impeached herself several times during her testimony, and the prosecutor caught several more serious problems than I had from merely listening in my car while driving, and (of course) unable to take notes.

Going forward, however, let’s put a stop to this crap.  The Senate can change its rules on its own without any consent from anyone else, and I suspect the Judiciary Committee (which hears these nominees) can as well.  There is nothing the Democrats can do to stop such a rules change, and it ought to be implemented immediately.
