DOJ Attorneys Agreed With IRS Call To Charge Hunter Biden With Felonies, Whistleblowers To Testify

Justice Department attorneys agreed with Internal Revenue Service agents that Hunter Biden should have been charged with tax felonies, but were stymied by White House appointees, two IRS whistleblowers will testify before Congress.
IRS Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley and another whistleblower will testify in front of the House Oversight and Government Accountability Committee Wednesday afternoon. The two men previously testified behind closed doors to the House Ways and Means Committee. The whistleblowers will testify that several prosecutors agreed that Hunter Biden should have been charged with multiple tax felonies, but that they were prevented from doing so by higher-ups at the Justice Department, according to opening testimonies first reported by Politico.

An FBI supervisory special agent has validated the testimony of IRS whistleblowers regarding their alleged obstruction in interviewing Hunter Biden as part of a criminal investigation into his activities, according to the top Republican investigator.
The FBI agent, whose identity remains undisclosed, revealed that higher-ranking officials at the FBI alerted the Secret Service about the scheduled interview, leading to its postponement in December 2020. Consequently, the IRS and FBI investigators were unable to question Hunter Biden, as summarized in a public statement by Rep. James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
