by James O’Neill, New Eastern Outlook:
While the attention of the world has been focused on the increasingly strident rhetoric between the United States and North Korea, a rather different and potentially more dangerous series of moves has been playing out in Syria. In that context there have also been some significant revelations reflecting the true nature of the US’s tactics in Syria which the mainstream media have for the most part ignored.
Some commentators pointed to Trump’s pre-election statements about disengaging the US from endless wars as evidence of a change of policies should he be elected. Some even suggested that his post election posturing bellicosity was camouflage to his actual agreements with Russia and China. Such views ignore the long history of US foreign policy, and the fact that regardless of who occupies the White House, certain verities remain constant. Foremost amongst these is the maintenance of American hegemony, and the willingness to use force to ensure its longevity. Events of recent days have forcefully confirmed the realities of US foreign policies.
An organization called the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) have revealed the results of an extended investigation into the various terrorist groups in Syria, and more particularly, how and from whom they receive their seemingly endless flow of weapons and ammunition.
The weapons and ammunition used by the terrorists, the study revealed, have been organized by the CIA and the Pentagon, using two channels in particular, the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and a little known weapons supply company, Picatinny Arsenal, based in New Jersey.
The weapons are purchased in a number of East European countries, all with NATO membership, and they are all weapons described as “non-standard” which is the NATO euphemism for weapons manufactured in East Europe, primarily Russia and the Czech Republic. These non-American sources give an added layer of deniability when the weapons are captured from the terrorists.
The weapons that are purchased are then transported to Syria, using a network of arms dealers, shipping companies, US military bases, and a Bulgarian airline called Silk Way Airlines. Under the terms of the UN Arms Trade Treaty, which the US has signed but not ratified, the end user of all weapons is required to be shown on all export certificates. None of the SOCOM certificates name any Middle Eastern country. The BIRN Report however, makes it clear that that is precisely where the weapons are destined.
The weapons and related armaments are typically either shipped into friendly ports, or flown into US bases in Turkey and Jordan and then shipped overland to their terrorist group destinations.
In July 2017 Trump ordered that the CIA cease supplying weapons to Syrian terrorist groups. The cessation of this program, known as Operation Sycamore, was welcomed at the time as one signal of the US’s changed policy regarding Syria. The program however, has simply carried on under different guises and using different conduits, of which Silk Way Airlines is merely one.
In September, Trump also announced that restrictions on private companies exporting weapons would be eased. A major consequence of this change of policy will be to make it that much harder to hold the US accountable for the export and end use of weapons. The privatization of the arms traffic is part of a more general privatization of military force, including the widespread utilization of “contractors” who in many cases, for example Afghanistan, vastly outnumber regular military forces.
The second major development, also largely unreported in the western mainstream media, was the attack by terrorist forces in Syria upon Russian military police in one of the so-called de-confliction zones. This occurred in an area to the north east of the city of Hama. That terrorists should violate agreements entered into by the major parties should come as no surprise.
What was interesting however, was the remarkably candid response from the Russian military authorities. The head of the Main Operations Department of the Russian General Staff, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoi, issued a statement saying that “the offensive was initiated by American intelligence services to stop a successful advance of government troops east of Deir ez Zor.”
A similarly blunt statement was made by the Russian Department of Defence spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov. He said that Russia suspected the American backed Syrian Defence Force (SDF) of colluding with ISIS terrorists rather than fighting them. He said that SDF forces had twice attacked the Syrian and Russian forces at Deir ez Zor with mortar and rocket fire, and that “fire from regions controlled by the SDF will be suppressed by all possible means.”
Such a blunt response signals increasing Russian frustration with the duplicity of the Americans, exemplified in their continued arming of terrorists as noted above, and their active participation in military actions directed against Syrian military forces and their Russian allies. On the diplomatic front Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reminded the world that all American forces and their allies in Syria were there contrary to international law, reinforcing the messages given by Rudskoi and Konashenkov.
Given that Russian forces operate alongside their Syrian allies, and SOCOM forces are embedded with the SDF, there is an obvious risk of clashes producing casualties, with attendant political repercussions.
These blunt Russian warnings highlighted what has long been known but rarely alluded to in the western mainstream media: that ISIS, the SDF and the Americans are cooperating in Syria to overthrow the Syrian government. Further evidence of this cooperation comes from photos taken by Russian satellites and recently released that show American, ISIS and SDF forces moving freely within terrorist held areas without apparent fear or hindrance.
This was also referred to in Konashenkov’s statement when he said that Russia had detected the transfer of SDF militants from Raqqa to Deir ez Zor to join forces with ISIS terrorists. Russian drones and intelligence, he said, “have not recorded any confrontations” between ISIS and the “third force”, i.e. SDF.
Despite Trump and other western leaders allegedly disclaiming regime change as an objective in Syria, it is clear that this policy has merely been put on hold while other options are exercised.
A major objective in this context has been the attempt by the US and its allies to take control of the oil fields to the east of Deir ez Zor. This is one of the factors behind the blatant attacks by US led forces on Syrian government troops and their Russian and Iranian allies.
The Syrian territory east of Deir ez Zor contains the Koniko gas field and the al Azbeh oil field, both of which are vital to Syria’s post-war recovery. They are also vital to any autonomous Kurdish State that is established in the area. This would help achieve a long held Israeli goal of the dismemberment of its enemy neighbours, Iraq and Syria, into non-threatening statelets. It is another reason why American backed Kurdish forces have also been seeking a foothold in the eastern Syrian region.

This week I focus listeners on the ‘how’: How the new global order is being created, how America is being destroyed, how president Trump is being undermined so that the globalists can get their new world order. I also analyze a recent presentation by former CIA operative Kevin Shipp who insists the “deep state” and the “shadow government” are two completely different entities. I address why it’s so important to not get caught up in arbitrary terms and instead focus on what is actually happening.
In this episode we address how the ongoing Hollywood propaganda to help overthrow Trump and demonize Russia continues as well as the ongoing phenomenon of cities, mayors, governors and many locally elected officials in the U.S. now ignoring the nation state and overtly aligning themselves with the new world order. This is huge!

from Zero Hedge:
Maybe Elon Musk had a point…
The US’s military leaders have agreed on a strategy to guarantee the US military retains its global dominance during the twenty-first century: Connect everything with everything, as DefenseOne describes it. The result? An unimaginably large cephapoloidal nervous systemarmed with the world’s most advanced weaponry, and in control of all military equipment belonging to the world’s most powerful army.
Sound familiar? It should…
A networked military – an extreme take on the “internet of things” – would connect everything from F-35 jets to the Navy’s destroyers to the armor of the tanks crawling over the land to the devices carried by soldiers – every weapon would be connected. Every weapon, vehicle, and device connected, sharing data, constantly aware of the presence and state of every other node in a truly global network.
Of course, the development of these “smart” weapons should unnerve Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has repeatedly warned that AI and machine learning poses a greater threat to the future of the US than North Korea. If not properly regulated, Elon suggested that machines could turn against their human masters.
“Until people see robots going down the street killing people, they don’t know how to react because it seems so ethereal,” he said.
“AI is a rare case where I think we need to be proactive in regulation instead of reactive. Because I think by the time we are reactive in AI regulation, it’s too late.”
The Joint Chiefs of Staff described their vision for a completely networked military in the newest iteration of their National Military Strategy, which lays out their plans for building the military’s weapon of the future. Ironically, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said he had based the plan on a certain money-losing electric-car manufacturer. Goldfein was particularly impressed by Tesla’s ability to remotely extend the battery life of vehicles as their owners fled Hurricane Irma earlier this month.
In recent months, the Joint Chiefs of Staff put together the newest version of their National Military Strategy. Unlike previous ones, it is classified. But executing a strategy requiring buy-in and collaboration across the services. In recent months, at least two of the service chiefs talked openly about the strikingly similar direction that they are taking their forces. Standing before a sea of dark- blue uniforms at a September Air Force Association event in Maryland, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said he had “refined” his plans for the Air Force after discussions with the Joint Chiefs “as part of the creation of the classified military strategy.”
The future for the Air Force? The service needed to be more like a certain electric-car manufacturer.
“Every Tesla car is connected to every other Tesla car,” said Goldfein, referring to a presentation by Elon Musk about the ways his firm’s vehicles learn from their collective experience. “If a Tesla is headed down the road and hits a pothole, every Tesla that’s behind it that’s self-driving, it will avoid the pothole, immediately. If you’re driving the car, it automatically adjusts your shocks in case you hit it, too.”
Goldfein waxed enthusiastically about how Tesla was able to remotely increase the battery capacity of cars in the U.S. Southeast to facilitate evacuation before the recent hurricanes.
“What would the world look like if we connected what we have in that way? If we looked at the world through a lens of a network as opposed to individual platforms, electronic jamming shared immediately, avoided automatically? Every three minutes, a mobility aircraft takes off somewhere on the planet. Platforms are nodes in a network,” the Air Force chief said.
As DefenseOne explains, the idea of a networked military borrows from the“network centric warfare” concept that first emerged more than a decade ago. However, the concept that military leaders proposed in their latest review is less a strategy for increasing efficiency than a plan to connect all military equipment on a single network. The result would be better coordinated, faster, and more lethal operations in air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace.
The Air Force has begun making broad investments in data sharing. And its experiments with next-generation light tactical attack aircraft are as much about hardware as networks, he said. “Not only what can I buy and what can they do, but more importantly, can they connect? Can they actually share? And can we tie it to a new network that’s based on sharable information that gets me beyond the challenges I have right now in terms of security?” Goldfein said.
The Air Force Science Board is studying how to control a network of military equipment including light attack aircraft, tanks and even unmanned drones. James Chow, the board’s new head, told DefenseOne the study would also consider how to connect to other services.
As DefenseOne explains, although most of the research into the networked military is being conducted by the Air Force, once implemented, any system would likely include weapons from across the military, like Navy destroyers, said Chow.
“Our scope would be in helping the Air Force to think about operations they would be conducting that would incorporate joint sensors and platforms, like destroyers, I think that has to be part of it. And that is within the charter of the study,” Chowsaid, adding that the study has “the highest priority level for Air Force leadership.”
The Marines are also looking at tanks that are digitally connected through their armor, according to Lt. Gen. Robert Walsh, who leads Marine Corps Combat Development Command and serves as Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration. Navy leaders have also authorized research into connecting every object on the sea, land, air, space and in cyberspace. This is no exaggeration. Adm. John Richardson, Chief of Naval Operations, said during a Navy expo earlier this year that he’d eventually like to “network everything,” explaining that creating such a system would be crucial to maintaining US military dominance.

Spain has continued to show the world that fascism is alive and well. Madrid is sending in the troops to shut down the planned Independence Day vote in Catalonia. Madrid, according to Reuters, is taking steps to prevent the vote at all costs. They have ordered their regional police force to take control of all polling stations from Friday and prevent voting. They announced: “We can confirm today that there will be no successful referendum in Catalonia.”
There is a major political crisis brewing in Spain that will spread to the rest of Europe. The elite will not tolerate any such vote against the federalization of Europe with Brussels at the head. On the weekend all the regional police units had been subordinated to the commanding authority of the Ministry of Interior in Madrid. What will be critical here is whether the police of Catalonia split and defend their own people against Madrid oppression. That will be the critical point that determines the break-up of Spain.
The independence vote is to take place on Sunday. The government in Madrid rejects the vote as unconstitutional. The Catalans call on the EU to defend the EU’s values nd to take action against Spain’s repressive steps. The Catalans are armed for any escalation and it will now depend if the Catalan police kill their own people or defend them against Madrid.
The government in Madrid has sent 16,500 Spanish policemen to Catalonia to prevent the referendum. They are to be accommodated in ferries in the port of Barcelona. However, Catalan port workers have announced to refuse to supply the ferries. Meanwhile, the prosecutor ordered the regional police on Tuesday to arrest the leaders of the vote and block the presidential election zones.

“Somebody’s going to use a false flag and someone is going to shoot down an airplane, just so this war gets started,” said the former Congressman.
Former Congressman and presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul is going on the offensive to wake Americans up to this run toward war by this administration fueled by deep state interests. During an interview this week, Ron Paul warned that the deep state could carry out a false flag and use it to lead America into the next major war.
“We are seeing now in regard to North Korea a replay of the type of campaign the deep state and the media used in 2001 through 2003 to stir up the American people to support the invasion of Iraq,” wrote Adam Dick for the Ron Paul Institute as he summed up Paul’s comments on the issue.
During the interview, Paul lambasted the Trump administration for saber-rattling at the North Koreans and trying to provoke them into a conflict.
After illustrating how senseless and dangerous this smack-talking match between Trump and Kim Jong Un has become, Paul explained how the US has no business over there and our mere presence endangers lives and costs billions.
Noting just how serious this push to conflict has become, Paul then described how at any moment, either a real or staged false flag event could be used to catapult the US into a catastrophic world war.
“The stage is set now, the North Koreans are threatening, ‘Well, we’re gonna shoot down an airplane,’” said Paul describing the scenario.
Paul, who noted that he was in high school during the first senseless conflict with Korea, then drew a parallel with how the US is doing the same thing they did to bring us into the Iraq war—lie to us over and over and over until we believe them.
“Just remember … the propagandists, the deep state, and the media convinced the American people that Saddam Hussein was a danger. They’re doing the same thing now with North Korea,” said Paul.
In response to this propaganda, Paul, who has served as chairman of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity since leaving the US House, says Americans “ought to wise up and just not buy into this,” as reported by Adam Dick.
As the majority of the population fights over people kneeling during the national anthem, Donald Trump has given in to the shadow government and has begun marching the US toward war. His methods so devious that he’s managed to pull the wool over the eyes of his support base and push for more war, higher taxes, and the continuation of Obamacare. All the while, people think he’s making America great again.

Trump’s nationalism will upend the global system, says mag
A top globalist publication is claiming President Donald Trump is now a “present danger” to the “New World Order,” and the “internationalists” that formed it are “spinning in their graves.”
Despite listing off legitimate threats like jihadism and terrorism, Communist Chinese expansion, and North Korean hostility, an article published by The Economist names Trump as the biggest threat to the “liberal” New World Order.
“Perhaps the greatest danger at present is the incumbency of an American president who despises international norms, who disparages free trade and who continually flirts with abandoning America’s essential role in maintaining the global legal order,” writes The Economist.
The globalist outlet refers to a book titled “The Internationalists,” to explain the origins of the “liberal international order” as a move to “make the waging of aggressive war illegal,” which is why it must be “defended like never before.”
“The rules-based international order that emerged from the wreckage of the second world war was a huge improvement on any preceding era,” states the article.
“Yet liberal internationalism is now under attack from many sides. Donald Trump’s America First doctrine explicitly repudiates it.”
The Economist describes how the Trump administration views the world stage, citing a piece written by two of Trump’s advisors in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
“The world is not a ‘global community’ but an arena where nations, non-governmental actors and businesses engage and compete for advantage,” H.R. McMaster and Gary Cohn wrote. “We bring to this forum unmatched military, political, economic, cultural and moral strength. Rather than deny this elemental nature of international affairs, we embrace it.”
The Economist then makes the strange assertion that, despite being directly responsible for numerous wars and destabilizing coup attempts around the world, the New World Order is “better than any of the alternatives.”
“Of course there are still plenty of wars,” it states. “In some ways the New World Order, which has helped make international wars so much less imaginable, has inadvertently made possible more ‘intranational’ wars.”
by Brandon Turbeville, Activist Post:
On September 24, the Russian Ministry of Defense may have corroborated what many researchers and journalists familiar with the Syrian crisis have been exposing all along; that the United States is working directly with ISIS on the ground and that its SDF forces are doing so as well.
The Russian MOD has released photos allegedly depicting U.S. forces and ISIS working alongside one another against Russian and Syrian forces in Deir ez-Zour.
The photos, which were released on Twitter, depict the SDF and American Special Forces working together in ISIS-controlled territory. What is notable is that neither forces have faced resistance from ISIS nor have they come under attack by the terror organization. In addition, neither the SDF nor the U.S. forces appeared to have maintained defensive positions, perimeters, or patrols, indicating that they are quite confident that the jihadists in the surrounding areas will not attack them. The latter aspect seems to lend credence to the idea that both forces are working with ISIS, not simply having entered into a truce with them since a truce would still necessitate the construction of a defensive perimeter. They are, in effect, moving amongst one another as allies tend to do.
Along with the photos, the Russian Ministry of Defense released a statement which read,
The shots clearly show the US SOF units located at strongholds that had been equipped by the ISIS terrorists. Though there is no evidence of assault, struggle or any US-led coalition airstrikes to drive out the militants.
Despite that the US strongholds being located in the ISIS areas, no screening patrol has been organized at them. This suggests that the#US_troops feel safe in terrorist controlled regions”.
Previously, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, Igor Konashenkov stated that “SDF militants work to the same objectives as Daesh terrorists. Russian drones and intelligence have not recorded any confrontations between Daesh and the ‘third force’, SDF”.
With this in mind, although some headway has been made in Syria with the Trump administration seeming to back off on the goal of total destruction of both the country and the government in favor of breaking Syria up into several petty states, it is clear that the agenda is still moving forward. Despite campaign rhetoric, the Trump administration is merely committing to the Obama administration’s Plan B. Both, however, involved collusion with ISIS since it was the United States, NATO, and the GCC, that created, funded, organized, and directed the terrorist organization to begin with. With Russia apparently realizing that the Trump administration is simply continuing the insanity initiated under Obama, it seems Russia is more willing to release information documenting the American support for terrorism in Syria.
