In 1970, futurists Alvin and Heidi Toffler released the first of three seminal books about the trajectory that America, and the world was on. They published them at roughly decade intervals: Future Shock (1970), Power Shift, (1984), and Third Wave (1991). There were others (like War & Anti-War and Revolutionary Wealth), but those three laid out what was coming down the pipe and they were largely correct about it because their core premise was so simple:

Yet while these political games dominate news headlines, send the stock market into a nosedive, and put federal employees at risk of having to work without pay, nothing about these high-handed theatrics will diminish the immediate and very real dangers of the American Police State with its roadside strip searches, government surveillance, biometric databases, citizens being treated like terrorists, imprisonments for criticizing the government, national ID cards, SWAT team raids, censorship, forcible blood draws and DNA extractions, private prisons, weaponized drones, red light cameras, tasers, active shooter drills, police misconduct and government corruption.

China’s response to Obama’s anti-China initiative, was to organize its own 16-nation RCEP, “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership”. Obama’s other main initiative against China — and against, actually, all of the “Global South,” or economically rising countries, including India — was the Paris Climate Agreement, which the U.S. led in the drafting of. Obama’s Administration led, at the 2015 U.N. Climate Change Conference, the nations that demanded the now-rising underdeveloped countries (mainly the former colonies of European powers), which had not caused the global warming problem, to share with the world’s developed and high-income countries (which had caused it), the costs of solving that problem, as-if they had contributed significantly to causing it (which they had not), and his proposed version became signed as being the Paris Climate Agreement, but Trump withdrew America from it, and Biden then restored America to it.
