On Tuesday, the Texas legislature voted to pass HB 1070 and withdrew from Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), the controversial voter roll maintenance system.
Texas will be the 9th state in the past year to leave the ERIC.
Rep. John Bucy, D-Austin proposed some changes to the bill, which would have to be approved by the Senate before the bill goes to Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk.

In other words, a pretty large majority of Americans agree with former President Trump that the media are our enemy — which is 100 percent true.

More than 50 senators have been issued satellite phones for emergency communication, people familiar with the measures told CBS News. The devices are part of a series of new security measures being offered to senators by the Senate Sergeant at Arms, who took over shortly after the “assault” on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

With all the (completely justified) angst surrounding central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), it’s easy to forget that the concept of digital money isn’t the problem. It’s just a tool like any other and can be used for good or evil, depending on who’s wielding it.
Obviously, if a CBDC is managed by some combination of the Federal Reserve, the military-industrial complex, the intelligence community, and Big Pharma, that currency will be a mechanism of state control and should be avoided at all costs. But if it’s backed by gold or silver and run transparently by people who respect their citizens’ privacy and agency, then it’s potentially part of a brighter monetary future.

Missouri teenager Sai Varshith Kandula crashed a U-Haul truck into the White House’s security barriers Monday night.
Kandula was arrested at the scene and charged with “trying to kill, kidnap or harm the president, vice president or a family member,” (18 U.S. Code § 879) Daily Mail reported.

Michael C. Ruppert was an ex-LAPD Narcotics Detective and whistleblower who came out against the CIA in the late 70’s. He claimed they tried to enlist him in protecting and helping to facilitate their drug running practices. When Ruppert declined involvement and came forward he said he was threatened, wrongly discredited, and even shot at, but that didn’t stop him from speaking up.
