The Conspiracies That Won’t Go Away

from Lew Rockwell:

Brother of 9/11 victim claim the US orchestrated the atrocity as new study shows it was impossible that the third tower collapsed from fire

Next Monday afternoon, Matt Campbell will stand outside BBC Broadcasting House in London’s Portland Place, protesting about the killing of his brother, Geoff, and 66 other Britons, in the 9/11 terror attack at the New York World Trade Centre.

After the horror on September 11, 2001, there was no trace of Geoff. The 31-year-old risk analyst had been attending a conference on the 106th floor in the North Tower, a short stroll from the Manhattan apartment where he lived with his American fiancée, Caroline.

At first, his family clung to the hope he was alive, until one year later fragments of a shoulder blade bearing Geoff’s DNA were found among Trade Centre rubble at a landfill site.

Matt began asking questions. He has not stopped since. He, and others who will be at the BBC protest, refuse to accept the official story about 9/11: that four U.S. airliners were hijacked by Islamist terror chief Osama Bin Laden’s pilots. Two were flown into New York’s famous Twin Towers, which collapsed.

A third rammed into the U.S. Defence Headquarters at the Pentagon in Washington DC. The last went down in rural Pennsylvania, 150 miles north of the capital, after a tussle between the hijackers and passengers, later portrayed in the Hollywood film United 93.

Seven hours later, a third tower at the World Trade Centre, WTC7, fell to the ground over seven seconds, even though no plane had hit it.

The red building, 100 yards from the 110-storey Twin Towers, was less than half their height at just 47 floors, and few people even know of its existence. It had already been evacuated after the planes had hit the main towers.

In total, 2,977 people died, provoking President Bush to mount the ‘War On Terror’ that led to the invasion of Iraq, with the UK in tow.

Yet as Monday’s anniversary approaches, Matt, a former City worker who is married with three children and lives in Sussex, insists that 9/11 did not happen in the way we have been told and that there has been a huge official cover-up to disguise the truth.

‘There are so many questions that the Americans and the British Establishment refuse to answer,’ he says. ‘I believe that my brother and thousands of others were murdered on 9/11 and there has been a cover-up. We, as a family, are still overcoming this tragedy, but we will never stop seeking the truth.’

SHOCK CLAIM: President Trump Being Drugged Ahead Of Coup

from Infowars:

Alex Jones tells how a source claimed President Trump is slowly being drugged by traitors within his administration with incremental doses slipped into his Coca-Cola, making him drowsy and slightly sedated.

by Matt Agorist, The Daily Sheeple:

Moore, OK — This week, former Oklahoma Sen. Ralph Shortey was accused in a federal indictment of multiple counts of child sex trafficking and child pornography offenses. He is now facing the possibility of a minimum prison stay of 15 years.

After the federal grand jury meeting in Oklahoma City returned their four indictments this week, Shorty, 35, pleaded not guilty. He wiped away tears as officials read out his child sex trafficking and child pornography offenses.

Despite being caught in the act Super 8 motel room in Moore, Oklahoma, Shortey was released after agreeing to a series of stringent conditions including wearing an ankle monitor and having his computer monitored. He also must stay away from all children except his own.

As TFTP previously reported, the charges came after Shortey was busted in a motel room in March with an underage boy.

The investigation was launched when the teen boy’s parents called police after finding disturbing text messages between him and their son. When police began their investigation into the texts, they found Senator Ralph Shortey in a motel room with the boy.

As KOCO 5 reported at the time, police obtained a search warrant that was served during the investigation. Using the search warrant, police said they found the juvenile’s Kindle Fire tablet that contained conversations between him and Shortey pertaining to sexual activities in exchange for money. The tablet was seized as evidence.

During the raid on the hotel room, the boy admitted to selling weed to Shortey in the past and said he had known him for about a year. When police searched the Kindle found in the room, they found evidence of Shortey attempting to solicit “sexual” stuff from the underage teen.

Police also noted that they smelled marijuana and found a backpack with a bottle of lotion and condoms, according to the report.

Shortey, who has been a senator since 2010, is no stranger to media coverage, as his controversial bills have garnered him quite a bit of attention over the years. Shortey was also the state chair of President Donald Trump’s campaign during the primary elections.

“I am proud and honored to have been tapped as Chairman of the campaign for Oklahoma,” Shortey wrote on his Facebook Sept. 2015, according to The Lost Ogle. “We are very excited for the opportunity to have Mr. Trump here,” he said, announcing a rally for Trump at the Oklahoma State Fair.

Shortey resigned only weeks after the scandal began to unfold and he maintains his innocence despite the horrific child pornography found on his devices. According to News Oklahoma,

The federal grand jury accused Shortey in the first child pornography count of using his smartphone in October 2013 to email a video of a man engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a prepubescent girl.

He is accused in the second child pornographic count of using his smartphone that same month to email sexually explicit videos of young boys.

He is accused in the third child pornography count of persuading the boy he later took to the Moore hotel to send him an inappropriate picture.

He is accused in the child sex trafficking count of soliciting that boy in March to engage in a commercial sex act. The boy is identified in the indictment only as “John Doe.”

Since he was elected in 2010, the senator has led a secret double life, according to the indictment. For over seven years, through a series of fake names and fake email addresses, Shortey dealt in child pornography and began soliciting minors.

‘Second Officer Injured’ — Antifa Launch Smoke Bombs, Other Projectiles At Portland Police

by Peter Hasson, Daily Caller:

Self-described “anti-fascists” (or “Antifa”) launched smoke bombs and other projectiles at Portland police officers and attacked photographers documenting their actions on Sunday, law enforcement officers said.

Left-wing agitators descended upon Portland in response to a “Patriot Prayer” rally on Sunday. Antifa members reportedly launched smoke bombs and other projectiles at police officers, who arrested at least seven people, according to the Portland Police Department, which documented the violence on Twitter. At least two police officers were injured in the violence.

Islamic State terrorists are now in possession of 11,100 blank passports that could be used to hide their identity and help them seek asylum in Europe, it has emerged

Islamic State terrorists are now in possession of 11,100 blank passports that could be used to hide their identity and help them seek asylum in Europe, it has emerged.

Records from the German Federal Criminal Police Office, reportedly seen by Bild newspaper, show ISIS fighters have these documents, meaning sleeper cells of terrorists could already be embedded in mainland Europe.

It comes after Der Spiegel newspaper reported that several dozen Syrian extremists linked to the al-Nusra Front and IS terrorist groups who committed “numerous massacres” of civilians and captives, have sought asylum in Germany.

Bild claims 8,625 passports checked by German migration authorities in 2016 were fake.

ISIS are known to be trying to sneak in terrorists among genuine refugees and asylum seekers. It happened at the Paris attacks and also in the Berlin Christmas market atrocity. Now they’re in possession of blank passports, which makes their job a lot easier.

Why on earth is the EU not doing more to secure its borders? They’re putting peoples lives at risk simply because they refuse to admit that their open border experiment has failed.

What To Do If You CAN’T Evacuate Before a Hurricane

by Daisy Luther, The Organic Prepper:

There are a lot of people stranded in the areas that are likely to be the hardest hit by Hurricane Irma. While it’s easy to say, “Oh, they should have left earlier” and run through the gamut of blame, the fact remains that there are all sorts of reasons that leaving didn’t work out.

Gas stations have run dry, which means that people can’t drive their cars to leave. Roads are at a standstill as people all try to leave at once in the biggest mass exodus in American history. Amtrak tickets are sold out. Plane tickets are outrageously expensive, in some cases more than three thousand dollars apiece. (However, American Airlines and JetBlue have capped their tickets out of Florida at $99, a service to keep in mind in the future if you plan to fly somewhere.)

The point is, for many, it’s too late. There is no further option for escape from what will most likely be a category 4 or 5 hurricane. (Good news – Friday morning, Irma was downgraded to a Category 4 Hurricane, with “only” 145 mph winds. Please don’t be deluded into thinking this lessens the danger dramatically, however. Hurricane Harvey was a Category 3 and we all saw what happened to Texas.

Here’s an explanation of the categories.

I can’t urge you more strongly: evacuate if you can at all. (Here’s an evacuation checklist.) This is a life-threatening hurricane, potentially the strongest to ever hit the country in recorded history.

(For more articles like this, please subscribe to my daily newsletter.)

What to do if you can’t evacuate

The hurricane is definitely headed toward Florida. That turn we were all hoping would send Irma out to sea didn’t happen – she’s headed west, straight for Miami. Not to scare the daylights out of you, but this is what it looked like on a webcam in St. Maarten. You’re going to want to do what you can to be ready.

If you’re in Florida, it’s too late to order online. There is practically no chance that the items will reach you. You aren’t going to be able to buy standard hurricane supplies at the store at this point, either, so you’ll have to make due with what you have or can still acquire.

Let me be absolutely clear, lest someone accuse me of recommending that people remain in their homes: remaining at home is not a wise course of action. If you haven’t been able to evacuate, here is a list of numbers that you can call to get help and get to a safe shelter before the storm hits. Do not wait until the storm hits to ask for help. Be proactive and do so now.

If you have absolutely no other option, below, you can find the best advice I can offer.

Water is sold out across the state. But, your taps are running just fine, right?

Fill every container you can get your hands on with tap water so that you have something to drink. It’s likely that you can still buy containers that will hold water. Get Mason jars, pitchers, canisters…whatever you can find to hold water. Then fill ALL of them, immediately. Use empty soda bottles or water jugs, too.

Fill one-gallon Ziploc bags with water and freeze them, allowing room for expansion. Not only will this provide drinking water, but the ice will help keep your food safe for longer.

When the storm is about to hit, fill sinks and bathtubs with water. This can be used for sanitation.

Fill prescriptions for any essential medications immediately. Plan for at least 2 weeks of medication to be on hand in the event that pharmacies are closed after the storm

If there’s anything available, buy food that doesn’t require any cooking. At this point, you can’t afford to be picky. Get enough for at least a week, preferably two.

Keep some cash on hand, preferably in small bills. If there is a regional power outage, you won’t be able to use a debit card or credit card during the aftermath. I suggest keeping several hundred dollars if you can.

There are shelters set up all across Florida for those who could not evacuate. You can find a list here. Florida governor Rick Scott said that if you need help you should ask now, because, “we can’t save you once the storm hits.” Particularly if you are in a manufactured or mobile home, there is practically zero chance it will be able to withstand winds of 180 mph or greater.

Quick Update: Irma

by Karl Denninger, Market Ticker:

In “The Bar” on the Ticker, where the grandfathered can discuss various topics among themselves (part of what was formerly “Tickerforum”) as Irma was approaching I pointed out that if the storm took a somewhat-southerly path and impacted Cuba that due to the terrain there limiting inflow and the organization of the storm it would be materially disrupted — to the point that would much limit the damage the US would take.

That turned out to be exactly correct.

It wasn’t good for Cuba, of course.  We don’t know exactly how much damage Cuba took but there are reports that at least one of their airports was destroyed.  It’s probably fair to assume that anything on the northern coast or barrier islands where the storm traversed is either severely damaged or gone.  Of course Barbuda, along with other islands in the chain that took the full force were also severely damaged; St. Maarten (which I’ve visited before) is trashed.

I will also note for the climate screamers that Irma was not the longest-running “Major” in the modern record.  Ivan was.  We got hit by Ivan here.  This is not to denigrate Irma and the fact that as a Cat 5 she was a royal bitch, because she was — but let’s also remember that we’ve only had the sort of “accurate” watch on these things that we enjoy today since roughly the 1960s, when weather satellites showed up.  Prior to that you knew when there was a hurricane coming when…. well, it “got someone”, either a ship, an island, or it got close enough to either that you could see it on radar.  Prior to WWII there was no radar either.  So arguing that Irma broke a record, or that “climate change” is responsible is just flat-out bull****.

A friend of mine in Venice is apparently without water service due to a main break.  I’m sure there are more of those, and of course the power is off in a lot of places throughout the state.  Flying trees and power lines don’t get along very well.

The market seems to think hurricane impacts are bullish given the overnight hours.  Frankly, I think that’s nuts; destroying capital is never bullish and when the “response” will be to borrow more money we don’t have and spend it since there’s no capital surplus left anywhere, either among people or governments it’s even worse.  Of course among the “reinsurance” stocks everyone thinks it’s grand since rates will be going up (and probably a lot) in that regard, which of course is “bullish” too when everyone’s homeowner’s and business insurance costs will be rising whether they were damaged or not.  Yes, this will be good for “profits”, right?

Uh, no.

But boy it is good for certain people.  I have no argument with the linemen and women who are just waiting for the wind to die down so they can start restoring power, and who will be making $30,000 in the next month or so working 100 hour weeks.  Overtime is beautiful when you can get it like that, and it will certainly be good for them.  Think about that one when you local High School is pressuring your kid to go to college; instead, perhaps he or she ought to learn how to string wire.

But the idea that somehow our so-called “free market” will and should cheer events like this is sickening, especially when nobody has put back reserves for these events and nobody will in the future either.  Instead we’ll hear about how “wonderful” the market’s response is, and why paying $2.65 or more a gallon for gas that was $2.25 a couple of weeks ago is a “good thing” too.  The climate screamers will lie some more about CO2 and its impact (folks, more CO2 is good — unless you want people to die from starvation, that is!) and kill a few million more birds with their windmill follies (speaking of which, how do they hold up under Cat 3+ hurricane winds?) while Musk will snicker at all the Tesla owners who he “unlocked” for a week while they were trying to flee.  Speaking of that, how’s that going to work out for them when they try to return home with no power at any of the “Supercharger” stations?

Then there’s the hotels and such who have and will make bank; all good for them, but not so much for those who evacuated and didn’t get damaged.  They don’t get to claim anything from insurance for that evac; it comes out of their pockets.  How many of them can pay off that credit card at the end of month?  Since we know that 75{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} of the population lives paycheck-to-paycheck the answer will be almost nobody.  But that’s “bullish” too, right?  Wrong.

Anyway, ’nuff said.  The crooners will be “buy stawks, all the time” of course — that’s what they do.  The broken window fallacy will be out in force, as if the only capital goods destroyed were all old and worthless, thus replacing old with new will be a net positive.  There might be an argument for this in limited cases had there been capital surplus people and governments had accumulated over time, but between Obamacare and the rest of the government always spending more than they take in, along with the sorry and in fact near-bankrupt state of most individual Americans’ finances, this is utter horse****.

The political aspect has already started and will get worse.  But you might want to consider the perspective of those who have modeled the atmosphere and gotten it provably right instead of all the screamers who have done so and repeatedly gotten it wrong, which is true of all of the so-called “global warming” models and those pushing them like heroin to a credulous population and political class, all of whom demand more of their heroin and fentanyl like good junkies groveling before their pusher.  If we could find two functional neurons between 330 million Americans we’d hang the climate screamers trying to steal by using natural events as their “bait”, but we don’t and thus they’re all safe from said wrath.

GDPNow vs Nowcast: When Will Hurricane Adjustments Take Place?

by Mish Shedlock, Mish Talk:

On Friday, GDPNow and the FRBNY Nowcast both posted third-quarter GDP estimates. GDPNow stands at 3.0{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528}. The Nowcast is at 2.1{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528}. Inquiring minds may be wondering what Hurricanes Harvey and Irma will do to their models. First, let’s review the latest forecasts.

GDPNow Forecast: 3.0 Percent — September 8, 2017

The GDPNow model forecast for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the third quarter of 2017 is 3.0 percent on September 8, up from 2.9 percent on September 6. The forecast of the contribution of inventory investment to third-quarter real GDP growth increased from 0.87 percentage points to 0.94 percentage points after this morning’s wholesale trade report from the U.S. Census Bureau.

FRBNY Nowcast Forecast: 2.1 Percent — September 8, 2017

  • The New York Fed Staff Nowcast stands at 2.1{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} for 2017:Q3 and 2.6{5f621241b214ad2ec6cd4f506191303eb2f57539ef282de243c880c2b328a528} for 2017:Q4.
  • News from this week’s data releases decreased the nowcasts for both quarters by 0.1 percentage point.
  • Negative news from lower than expected imports and exports data accounted for most of the decrease.

When Will Hurricane Adjustments Take Place?

The answer is no adjustments per se will be made to the models.

Here is a Q&A between Pat Higgins, creator of GDPNow and me.

Mish Question to Pat Higgins

Hi Pat
Can I safely presume your model will not change because of hurricanes? Rather the data that comes in will impact the model, whatever it may be.

Do you have a personal opinion that you can share about the likely impacts of these hurricanes?

Pat Higgins Reply to Mish

Hi Mish – your presumption is correct. GDPNow will only be impacted by the hurricanes to the extent they impact monthly data used by the model. And no adjustments are being made to the model’s forecasts of the yet-to-be released source data because of the hurricanes.

On your second question, I’m afraid I can’t be of much help since the impact of weather-related events on GDP is outside of the scope of GDPNow.

Best regards,

GDP Will Take a Hit

Without a doubt, third quarter GDP will take a hit. Businesses were closed and people lost their jobs, even if only temporary that a lot of economic activity that did not take place.

Will models will exaggerate the effect by carrying the results too far into the future? That’s possible, but it’s also possible the economy was peaking right as the hurricanes hit.

Hackers Break Into Equifax – Big Time!

by Martin Armstrong, Armstrong Economics:

Welcome to the reality of the Digital World and there are those in government who want to eliminate cash and force everyone into electronic deposits. Well the new data breach at credit bureau Equifax appears to have affected up to 143 million people. On top of that, Equifax has been slow to deal with the issue. This is reminiscent of the real Insider Trading from the 1930s when directors realized the company was bankrupt so they sold their stock before any announcement. Here we have the company’s chief financial officer and two other senior executives cashing in on almost $2 million of Equifax stock once they learned about the hack, according to Business Insider’s Mohammed Hadi and Bryan Logan.

The Equifax data breach may have really profound lasting effects . Because they may have access to your information on consumers’ credit reports, including their Social Security numbers, credit card numbers and driver’s license numbers, they could open credit accounts in consumers’ names. They then could file an income tax return and get a refund before you even file your taxes. The Federal Trade Commission warned consumers last Friday to file their taxes early — “as soon as you have the tax information you need, before a scammer can.”

The IRS doesn’t initiate any contact with taxpayers by email, text message or social-media channels requesting any information. If anyone is contacted, be very concerned and do not answer any questions or validate anything. Call an accountant ASAP.

The United States of Hubris

from Antonius Aquinas:

If anyone should have any questions about whether the United States of America is not the most aggressive, warlike, and terroristic nation on the face of the earth, its latest proposed action against the supposed rogue state of North Korea should allay any such doubts.

Last week, the US circulated a draft resolution which it intends to present to the UN Security Council that would give the American Navy and Air Force the power to interdict North Korean ships at sea to determine if they were transporting “weaponry material” or fuel and that US forces would be given “the right” to use “all necessary measures” to “enforce compliance.”*

Not surprisingly, Nikky Haley, the blood-thirsty and incompetent American Ambassador to the UN, has enthusiastically backed the resolution, utterly clueless of its ramifications if passed, the most horrific of which would be the igniting of WWIII.  Trump’s selection of the neocon mouthpiece as UN Ambassador has been a disaster on several fronts: first, it was an early and quite telling sell out of his political base whom he promised an American First foreign policy of less belligerency and intervention.  Second, Haley had no foreign policy experience and has made a fool of herself internationally on more than one occasion with her inane statements.

That the US is even considering such a provocative scheme once again shows the hubris which exists within its vast corridors of power.  Any other country which would suggest such an audacious act would be rightly condemned, ostracized, and labeled as a rogue state.  Yet, it is US lawmakers, policy wonks, and the CIA/NSA-directed American press corps that charge others (mostly those who do not kowtow to US dictates) of “terrorism.”

This year, as of yet, North Korea has not been responsible for a single death of a foreign national.  Nor has the tiny communist state ever used a nuclear weapon against an enemy like the US did with its immoral and hellish destruction of two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the conclusion of WWII.

On the other hand, since the start of the Trump Presidency, US-backed forces have been responsible for the deaths of some 3700 civilians in Mosul, Iraq.**  This is not to mention its murderous armed strikes in Yemen and Afghanistan.  Nor is American aggression limited to direct military action, but its arms supply sales to despots and its puppets has escalated tensions and makes conflicts that do break out much more brutal.

Fortunately, for the future of global peace, US hegemony is coming to an end.  The nation is hopelessly broke while its welfare/warfare economy is beyond reform and faltering badly which means that when the inevitable collapse does happen, it will mean the end or a serious pull back of the Empire.  A similar situation took place in Great Britain in 1945 after it took part in another senseless global conflict which liquidated the British Empire once and for all.

Any sober thinking realist would recognize the deteriorating societal and economic conditions at home, yet because of the collective hubris embedded in the political class, American bellicosity continues.

Cancer Survivor Says CBD Oil ‘Saved Her Life’ After Doctors Said She Had 6 Months To Live

by Amanda Froelich, True Activist:

Four years ago, this cancer survivor was told she had “six to 18 months” to live. Today, she is advocating for the decriminalization of the life-saving herb.

No one wants to be told they have cancer — let alone an inoperable brain tumor, yet this is the exact reality Lynn Cameron was faced with in 2013. In December of that year, doctors informed the 48-year-old that she had just “six to 18 months” to live. You can imagine her devastation.

Determined to live, Cameron underwent several sessions of chemotherapy along with radiotherapy.

“I took a seizure on November 30, 2013, prior to which I had been quite well. I had a scan on December 10 and it showed a mass, and I was taken straight into Southern General at that point,” explained Cameron. “I was operated on on December 16, and on December 27 I was told that I had stage 4 terminal brain cancer. So I underwent the chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined, but was told even then I would live six to 18 months at best.”

Scared by the diagnosis, she also began supplementing with cannabis oil (CBD) — a therapy that is presently illegal in the UK. “A good friend suggested cannabis, but I was too scared because it’s illegal. I also found it hard to believe that it would cure brain cancer so advanced,” she said. “But as the scans were showing there was no change to the mass, I eventually thought, ‘I’m going to break the mold here and try that’.”

Nearly four years after her diagnosis, Lynn is still alive and says cannabis oil is the reason. She is now advocating “for the reform of the current prohibitive laws around the use of cannabis for medication.”

Over the past four years, the cancer patient has educated herself on a wide range of natural therapies to combat the affliction. She said, “I researched more and more into natural ‘cancer killers’ and decided to follow an alkaline diet and cut out processed foods altogether. I also cut out sugar completely. I started taking cannabis oil under my tongue, as it gets straight into the blood stream that way.”

Reportedly, every scan Cameron received showed an improvement. “I had been told that chemotherapy and radiotherapy doesn’t make much difference, so I knew it must be the cannabis doing it. By the sixth MRI, the cancer had gone,” she said.

After finally receiving the all-clear, Lynn challenged the doctors about the potential benefits (or adverse reactions) of supplementing with cannabis oil. “The doctors treating me didn’t know about the cannabis oil until I got the results,” she said. “I challenged them on it, but they dismissed it. They weren’t taught about cannabis at medical school – more for a political reason than medical I believe.”

“They told me, ‘eat whatever you like, take all the vitamins you want, it won’t work’. But these were the people who told me my cancer was incurable, and it was gone,” she exclaimed. “The British Medical Journal hasn’t properly investigated cannabis. The irony was they were giving me morphine and codeine in the wards. Prior to becoming ill, I had never taken a pill before in my life.”
