So What If R0 IS 5?

by Karl Denninger, Market Ticker:

There’s a non-peer-reviewed alleged “medical” paper floating around that claims the new coronavirus has a R0 of approximately 5.

This is is wildly beyond anything expected in a flu-type virus; it greatly surpasses the Spanish Flu, for example (about double!), and is roughly four times the transmission rate of the “common” seasonal flu.  It is up there with Mumps and Rubella.

I’m not buying this.

Yet.

Bill Gates funded the PIRBRIGHT institute, which owns the patent on coronavirus

by Ethan Huff, Natural News:

Believe it or not, the coronavirus strain that’s currently spreading throughout China and abroad is a patented virus that’s owned by an entity called The Pirbright Institute, which is partially funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The patent page for coronavirus explains that it “may be used as a vaccine for treating and/or preventing a disease, such as infectious bronchitis, in a subject,” suggesting that this is just another weaponized viral strain designed to sell more useless, deadly vaccines, while at the same time killing off a few thousand, or perhaps a few million, people.

Scientists in Britain May Have Just “Accidentally” Found a Cure for Cancer

from The Mind Unleashed:

“Previously nobody believed this could be possible.”

Every once in a while, medical researchers simply have a stroke of good luck. In this case, that stroke of good luck could have a profound effect on the medical community.

Researchers at Cardiff University were in the midst of analyzing blood from a bank when they accidentally stumbled into an “entirely new type of T-cell.” The new cell carries a “never before seen” type of receptor that acts like a grappling hook, latching on to most human cancers.

Two Nasty Traits of This Coronavirus, Typically Not Seen Together

by Mish Shedlock, The Maven:

Dr. Dena Grayson, who has years of training developing Ebola treatments, shares her concerns about this coronavirus.
I compiled what follows from a Series of Thirteen Tweets by physician (MD) and scientist (PhD) Dr. Dena Grayson. Emphasis is mine.

QUESTIONS EMERGE ABOUT CORONAVIRUS

by Joseph P. Farrell, Giza Death Star:

The coronavirus is all over the news, and apparently, on the minds of a great many readers of this website, because out of about 500+ emails from readers last week, it topped the list of “subjects” people sent me at about 23 emails with that as the subject matter by my count. And if the truth be told, I’ve not been watching the story that closely. When it first broke, my reaction was “another SARS” phenomenon.

But with this, there may be something more sinister lurking in the story, that something being comprised of two things: biowarfare, and timing. For example,V.T.,  P.T., and E.G. found articles that strongly suggest that what is happening in China may have come from a biowarfare lab:

What are the Chinese hiding in Wuhan?

by Jon Rappoport, No More Fake News:

“In the previous epidemics, which turned out to be duds—West Nile, SARS, bird flu, Swine Flu, MERS, Zika, Ebola—there were people claiming the virus had been diabolically weaponized, it was spreading unchecked, and THIS WAS THE BIG ONE. If they had been right, we would not be here to discuss epidemics. We would all be dead. Of course, this history of duds gives these doomsayers no pause at all. They keep predicting THE END. They have miraculously short memories.” (Jon Rappoport, The Underground)

I’ve been investigating and writing about fake epidemics for over 30 years. One of my prime strategies: were there hidden and unreported causes that would explain people’s symptoms and illnesses—causes having nothing to do with viruses? I found them. “The virus” turned out to be a convenient and very effective cover story that would obscure the true causes that important forces wanted to hide.

Some Practical Questions about the Coronavirus Epidemic

by Charles Hugh Smith, Of Two Minds:

Restrictions that allow a significant number of people to move about, either with official approval or unsanctioned “black market” activity, cannot stop the spread of contagious diseases.

Like everyone else, I’ve been reading the mainstream media reports on the Coronavirus epidemic. I haven’t found any information about the practicalities that immediately occur to me, such as:

1. When public transportation is halted and commerce grinds to a halt as people avoid public places and gatherings, thousands of employees no longer go to work. Who pays their wages while the city is locked down? The employers? Then who compensates the employers, since their income has also gone to zero?

China’s New Coronavirus: An Examination of the Facts

by Larry Romanoff, Global Research:

The Western mass media have discussed the new corona virus that began in the city of Wuhan in Central China but, apart from repetitive small details and the inevitable China-bashing, not much light has been shed on the circumstances. My initial commentary here is composed from a medley of nearly 100 Western news reports, primarily ABC, CBS, CNN, AFP, and from some Chinese media. Officially called the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the contagion is a respiratory illness, a new type of viral pneumonia, in the same family of infections as SARS and MERS.

At the time of writing, Chinese health authorities announced 830 confirmed cases caused by this virus in 29 provincial-level regions in the country, resulting so far in 25 deaths primarily among the elderly who had been suffering serious prior medical conditions and were perhaps in weakened physical states. A few cases have been reported in other countries, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, the US, Japan, all of which involved ethnic Chinese who had traveled to Wuhan. The virus initially showed no signs of spreading between humans, but then may have mutated with 15 medical workers in Wuhan apparently contracting the pathogen from other victims. It still remains unclear how easy it is to contract it from another infected individual.

8 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE PANICKING ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS

by Phillip Schneider, The Waking Times:

If you read the news, you’ve likely heard about the “deadly” coronavirus in China. You’ve probably seen videos of sick people and heard about the impending doom that our great nation faces if we don’t do something about this grave threat coming from China.

But have you ever thought about why we’re hearing so much about this virus, despite it affecting only a relatively small number of people in another country? Who benefits from a mass media hype around the Coronavirus?
