Earlier this month, American rating agency Standard & Poor Global (“S&P Global”) announced it had dropped its use of environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) scores in assessing corporate borrowers, an initiative launched in 2021.
S&P said the ESG ratings had not been accepted by its customers. Critics have dubbed the practice as “woke capitalism.”
Unfortunately, the move to drop ESG scores may not be the victory for freedom as some may hope.

The primary heat transfer mechanism to cool the Earth’s surface is convection. However, at night, when the temperature of the Earth’s surface approximates the temperature of the air above it, the Earth begins to cool by emitting long wave infrared (LWIR) photons into the lower troposphere (the first 8 km of the Earth’s atmosphere). The basic premise in the man-made global warming hypothesis is that CO2 molecules in the lower troposphere, emitted by the burning of fossil fuels on Earth, absorb the LWIR photons emitted as the Earth cools. The CO2 molecules “trap” the heat energy in the photon, which causes the troposphere to warm. Then the CO2 molecule reradiates an LWIR photon of the same wavelength it absorbed back to the Earth’s surface, which warms the Earth’s surface. The more CO2 molecules that are emitted into the troposphere by burning fossil fuels, the more heat is trapped and reradiated back to the Earth’s surface, increasing atmospheric and surface warming in a never-ending cycle.

Pope Francis had harsh words for Americans in a new document calling for action to address what he called a “climate crisis” in which “the world in which we live is collapsing and may be nearing the breaking point.”
The pope released “Laudate Deum,” which is Latin for “Praise God,” on Wednesday on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, whose name he assumed when he became the head of the Roman Catholic Church.
The document says that efforts to combat climate change have moved too slowly, and that some parts of the world are more guilty than others.

Pope Francis has denounced the arrogance of those who seek dominion over nature, which leads to the degradation of the environment.
Imagine calling yourself the ‘Vicar of Christ’, a Roman Catholic title which means whoever holds that position is the personification of Jesus Christ on this Earth. Wow, how awesome that must be. You might well imagine that someone called the Vicar of Christ would be a veritable storehouse of Bible knowledge and scripture references, just like the real Jesus is in the Bible. Yet somehow, Pope Francis, the current Vicar of Christ, doesn’t seem to know any Bible at all, and when he mentions things like the Holy Spirit, they are very often in complete disharmony with the biblical Holy Spirit. It’s like walking into McDonald’s and walking out with an Impossible Burger, something just doesn’t add up.

FEMA didn’t stage ahead of time and they don’t have boots on the ground anywhere.
Hurricane Helene was a massive storm that did massive damage. Just look how it compares with Katrina.

Nearly 60 years ago, in May 1962, then US Vice President Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) gave the commencement address at his alma mater, Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University. In the speech, LBJ talked about his international travels and professed that the United States must set the agenda for the rest of the world. (Source: Texas Archive) It wasn’t so much a speech about freedom as it was a speech about control. A very interesting aspect of control that LBJ mentioned was a comment about controlling global cloud layers: “He who controls the weather will control the world.”
