I recall how a friend of mine who once served as a senior Pentagon intelligence briefer described what he called “breaking in” a new president. Today, incoming presidents receive some intelligence briefings so that they do not land in office on a cold January day totally unprepared for what awaits them. But generally speaking, the real surprises are unveiled during the first week when they get the full classified briefings that are carefully prepared both to inform and to enhance the value of the agency doing the briefing. In the case of the Central Intelligence Agency, the most secret clandestine operations are revealed in power point to convince the new chief executive that the intelligence community is keeping the nation safe. The Pentagon for its part unveils flashy new weapons systems either about to come on line or being planned to demonstrate its ability to deter aggression from any source.
Another Early Warning Siren Goes Off
Our friend Jonathan Tepper of research house Variant Perception (check out their blog to see some of their excellent work) recently pointed out to us that the volume of mergers and acquisitions has increased rather noticeably lately. Some color on this was provided in an article published by Reuters in late May, “Global M&A hits record $2 trillion in the year to date”, which inter alia contained the following chart illustrating the situation. This snapshot was taken shortly after a particularly busy “Merger Monday” in May, which saw $28 billion in takeover announcements:
The international organization widely known for leaking government information and giving transparency to corruption and corrupt politicians has just created a searchable database of public information on ICE officials.
This comes amid a public outcry of ICE aiding in the imprisonment of children in what has been deemed U.S. President Donald Trump’s “child internment camps” causing a separation of kids from migrant families.
In 2008, Harvard professors Cass Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule proposed that the government should engage in “cognitive infiltration” of citizen groups that seek the truth about 9/11. The proposal was that government operatives, whether anonymous or otherwise, should infiltrate and disrupt the groups. They wrote, “Government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action. “
The left certainly outdid themselves last week. From activists chanting “shame, shame, shame” at DHS secretary Kirstjen Nielsen in a DC restaurant and Time Magazine’s deceitful cover, to former Sex and the City actress and current New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon calling ICE a “terrorist organization,” liberals really went into overdrive. Were they trying to call attention away from what should have been a bigger story?
Nearly lost in the cacophony was the testimony of former Obama administration cyber security coordinator Michael Daniel before the Senate Intelligence Committee, confirming that he was told by Susan Rice to “stand down” in his efforts to thwart Russian meddling in our 2016 election.
This photo is what started the controversy of guard towers being needlessly built on public structures. FEMA Camps now come in all shapes and sizes. From the air, the guard towers stick out like a sore thumb. Walmarts are not the only structures that have been converted to FEMA camps. Whether we realize it our not, Trump just formally exposed the true existence of FEMA camps to the american people through the immigration crisis.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) openly called for people to form a mob and physically confront members of Donald Trump’s administration if they see them out in public after controversy over separated migrant families erupted two weeks ago.
Waters, who doesn’t live in the district she represents and paid her daughter $750,000 for Democratic fundraising activities, said to a crowd at a “Keep Families Together” rally on Saturday: “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
Waters’ comments come on the heels of several members of Trump’s administration being physically confronted by angry leftists.
Last week a group of protesters with the Democratic Socialists of America – including a DOJ paralegal – chased Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant near the White House. Days later, protesters showed up at Nielsen’s Alexandria townhouse.

And on Friday night, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was ejected from a Lexington, VA restaurant because the gay staff was too triggered by her presence. After the story went viral, Sanders posted to Twitter: “Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so”
THE OWNER OF THE RED HEN IN VIRGINIA WHO ASKED WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY SARAH SANDERS TO LEAVE IS SPEAKING OUT ON WHY SHE MADE THE REQUEST.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Remember the Democrat catchphrase popularized by Michelle Obama ‘When they go low, we go high‘? Well, as it turns out, that little bit of creative marketing had nothing to do with how Democrats actually treat people they don’t agree with. In fact, instead of ‘going high’, Red Hen restaurant owner Stephanie Wilkinson confronted prospective diner Sarah Sanders yesterday and publicly demanded she get out of her eatery immediately. Sanders crime? She works for Donald Trump. That’s it. How did Trump’s supporters take it? The Red Hen Yelp page was torched, and their Facebook page received nearly 55,000 negative reviews from irate readers in a matter of hours. Welcome to the new American Civil War.
DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz knows Hillary Clinton is guilty.
Rep. Eric Salwell (D-CA)…who you may recognize from the many intellectual beat downs he has received at the hands of Tucker Carlson, knows Hillary is guilty.
The guy sitting in back of Horowitz knows Hillary Clinton is guilty.
