SB 553, authored by Democrat Senator David Cortese (San Jose), requires employers to maintain violent incident logs, provide active shooter and shoplifter training, and to discard policies requiring workers to confront suspected active shoplifters, the Epoch Times reports.

The Biden administration is trying very hard to convince all of us that the economy is in fine shape even though many of our most prominent corporations are currently conducting mass layoffs and even though Challenger, Gray & Christmas is telling us that the number of jobs cuts during the first three months of this year was up 396 percent compared to the same period last year. Just like in 2008 and 2009, large numbers of people that have lost their jobs or their businesses are ending up living in the streets, and as a result homeless encampments are absolutely exploding in size from coast to coast.

We have one case of a white man killed by a black woman. Robbery, road rage and home invasion also figure. And there was a remarkable case of a young black man apparently vigilante-killing homeless white drug users in Arizona, to absolutely no national media attention at all. But perhaps the most tragic: the entirely random, apparently accidental victims who died because they were in the Wrong Place At The Wrong Time—i.e. America.
