Texas is Teaming Up with Arizona to Craft a Border Security Pact

On June 10, 2021 Texas Governor Greg Abbott revealed that the Texas state government will start implementing a “comprehensive border security plan” that involves the state entering an agreement with Arizona to continue the construction of the border wall.

Hayden Sparks of the The Texan wrote that “Abbott made the announcement at a “border summit” in Del Rio, where he appeared with Chief Nim Kidd of the Texas Department of Emergency Management (DEM), Major General Tracy Norris of the Texas Military Department, as well as Colonel Steve McCraw, the director of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).”

The states of Florida, Texas, and Colorado also saw a greater influx of movers
Despite the pandemic the company claim people continued to move at rates that were comparable to 2019
The data showed that states that have much less densely populated areas were a big draw for people looking to relocate amid the COVID-19 pandemic
The move away from the likes of New York was driven, in part, by an increased fear of living in densely populated cities and rising crime amid the pandemic
