The designer behind Jaguar’s controversial woke rebrand has reportedly been dismissed and “escorted from the office” just days after a new Chief Executive took over. The Telegraph has more.
Gerry McGovern, who was formerly Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) chief creative officer, was told he was being dismissed with immediate effect on Monday.
He was then escorted out of the office, according to reports, although details of his exit remain unclear.

On Wednesday, the Mike Lindell for Governor committee was registered with the state’s Campaign Finance Board, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. Lindell, a close ally to President Donald Trump, told the outlet in an interview that his gubernatorial bid “isn’t 100% yet,” but vowed to announce his final decision during a news conference on Dec. 11.

Putin Says Russia Is Ready for War With NATO

The Trump administration’s peace plan for Ukraine has hit a wall. After a five-hour negotiation session on Tuesday, the Russians rejected the proposal, which was revised multiple times by the time it got to Moscow. And just before those talks, Russian head of state Vladimir Putin told reporters that his country is ready for a fight with NATO if that’s where the war is heading.
Putin’s comments follow those by NATO officials who openly suggested they were thinking of attacking Russia. Italian Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone said NATO may take a “more ‘aggressive’ approach to deter Moscow from continuing its campaign of drone incursions and cyberattacks in Europe,” according to reports.
On Tuesday at an investment forum in Moscow, Putin was asked if Russia was preparing for war with NATO. He said Russia didn’t want to fight Europe, but if it came to that, the Kremlin’s strategy will be different from the one it’s using in Ukraine:

To the extent that they inform the public what they know, they decide which secrets can be disclosed. Now this may be the only way for a clandestine service to operate, but it certainly does not equip the public to make fully-informed decisions. When choosing which policies or representatives to support, voters know nothing of substance within the classified world.
Western nations that call themselves “democracies” try to obfuscate this issue by pretending two things: (1) that intelligence agencies work, at all times, for the public good and (2) that a small body of elected officials effectively supervise the work of government spies. These are comforting delusions.
