In today’s Pentagon spreading nuclear weapons among allies who lack them in order to conduct an even larger nuclear war is just good war planning. On April 1, and unfortunately it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, the nominee as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, said that the United States was ready to consider entering into nuclear sharing agreements with more of the country’s NATO allies. “From a military perspective, expanding NATO allies’ participation in the nuclear deterrence mission in some capacity would enhance flexibility, survivability, and military capability. I need to be more empathetic with Putin’s hopes. Sometimes I, too, let hopes run away with me.
Yes, I was wrong to hope President Trump would normalize relations with Russia. Perhaps Trump intended to do so, until the men in black knocked on his door and told him that he was not allowed to takeaway the enemy that justified the power and profit of the military/security complex.
In the era of nuclear weapons it makes perfect sense to be on good terms with other nuclear powers. Mutual suspicions and high tensions can result in catastrophic consequences. Russia has not threatened us and clearly has no territorial ambitions. Putin’s ambition is a mutual security agreement with the West.
Texas Banned DEI, but Colleges May Be Trying to Skirt the Law

Texas banned DEI. But now conservatives in the Lone Star State are discovering that prohibiting Marxism in public institutions is only the first step; the challenge is implementing such a policy after the leftist rot has already become deeply rooted.
As Fox News reports, in response to a state law prohibiting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives on college campuses, Texas A&M University awarded the department head a salary increase before transferring her and other staff members to different departments. This move has raised concerns that universities in Texas are trying to deepen the integration of the contentious practice despite the legal restrictions.
In June 2023, Texas Governor Greg Abbott enacted a law, SB 17, prohibiting DEI programs on college campuses. Subsequently, documents obtained by Fox News Digital revealed that Texas A&M University reassigned several DEI employees to different departments. Among them was the vice president of the program, who received a 10 percent salary increase, a new role, and a nine-month paid leave.
