Cigna Healthcare used AI to deny hundreds of thousands of valid health insurance claims, lawsuit alleges

A class action lawsuit has been filed in California against the insurance company Cigna alleging that they used an algorithm to review and ultimately reject hundreds of thousands of health insurance claims filed by patients. In many cases, doctors approved the denials without taking the time to review each individual case.
According to the suit, this is a violation of a California state law requiring insurers to carry out a “thorough, fair and objective” investigation into every claim. Instead of giving each case the individual attention it deserves, the company trusts its PxDx algorithm, which they use to help reduce their labor costs by decreasing the amount of time doctors need to spend looking at each claim. It also saves them significant money by denying so many claims.

City code enforcement stumbled upon the building in December 2022 when they discovered a garden hose running up into the building through a hole in the wall. Legendary national security journalist Seymour Hersh has published a report this week alleging US intelligence helped the Ukrainians blow up the Kerch Bridge (or also, Crimean Bridge), which happened earlier this month and corresponded to President Putin refusing to renew the Black Sea Grain Initiative deal.
What’s more is that Hersh’s sources described that the US assisted in the initial, larger Kerch Bridge explosion which had initially temporarily disabled it in October 2022. “The Biden administration’s role in both attacks was vital,” he wrote in a Thursday Substack investigative article.
Police Investigating Death of Obama’s Chef Refuse to Identify 2nd Paddleboarder

Investigators with the Edgartown Police Department (EPD) are refusing to reveal the identity of the second paddleboarder who was with Barack Obama’s chef when he mysteriously drowned at the former first family’s lavish Martha’s Vineyard estate.
As Slay News reported, 45-year-old Tafari Campbell drowned after being reported “missing” on Sunday night.
On Monday morning, Campbell’s body was recovered from a pond at the Obamas estate where he had been paddleboarding.
