The private-equity protocol of asset stripping bears fruit.
Today, premium-denim designer and retailer True Religion Apparel with 1,900 employees filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Its celebrities-endorsed products are sold in its 140 True Religion and Last Stitch retail stores and in struggling brick-and-mortar department stores, including at Bloomingdale, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Bankruptcy rumors had been swirling since October when the company hired a law firm specialized in bankruptcy and restructuring – a dead-giveaway that shareholders and creditors are going to feel some pain.

On July 4th, journalist Heather Bryant published an important article on Medium that I think everyone should read and think about. Her story should make all of us uncomfortable, not just about the state of journalism, but also about how each of us thinks about class and the people around us doing under-appreciated, but vital work.
Below are some excerpts from the piece, but it’s worth reading the entire thing.
I was talking to this person whom I’d just met. They told me about their job and where they worked. They asked me about mine. I told them I’d worked in public media in Alaska before moving to the Lower 48. I was a couple of months from wrapping up my time as a John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford. They asked about what I worked on and I explained my research around collaboration in journalism and that I intended to continue working in this space after the fellowship ended.
Illuminati Pop Stars – The In-Your-Face Conspiracy That Won’t Go AwayILLUMINATI POP STARS – THE IN-YOUR-FACE CONSPIRACY THAT WON’T GO AWAY
by Sigmund Fraud, The Daily Sheeple:
A continuous assault on the public psyche by the entertainment industrial complex aims to disorganize and derail the individual. It’s a world governed by terror, and to find relief from such continual fear and stress we’re invited to seek shelter in meaningless, self-destructive habits and pursuits. The celebrity role models in our culture lead the way, setting the example for how to abandon ourselves to the mainstream orgy of debauchery and stupidity.
Via the 24/7 news cycle format, the media keeps the shock and awe flowing, and corporate pop-culture is the escape. Pop stars are selected for their helplessness against the MK Ultra/Monarch-type mind control. This kind of programming is necessary to turn people into celebrity puppets whose behavior is to be emulated by the public. The stars that do this best become icons of Illuminati symbolism, using their careers and souls to pimp occult messages and ideas to the masses.
4Chan Declares War On CNN, The ‘Media Mafia’ After They Blackmail & Threaten Reddit User For WWE GIF Of Trump Body-Slamming CNN Logo
by Susan Duclos, All News Pipeline:
Brief recap: In June CNN was forced to change headlines and a story that was completely false, then forced to retract another fake news article, delete all links to it and apologize while forcing three employees to resign over it, on top of project Veritas capturing CNN employees admitting the whole Russia narrative they have been pumping for the past six months was “bullsh*t” and a “nothingburger.”
Could it get any worse for CNN? Glad you asked, it just did.
After months of attacking President Trump, his family and his supporters, the president struck back with an amusing GIF where footage from WrestleMania 23 in 2007 where Trump went up against WWE CEO Vince McMahon during a “Battle of the Billionaires” match, has been retouched to show the President body-slamming a figure with the letters “CNN” superimposed over the person’s head.
With the typical snowflake, social justice warrior mentality, CNN and the rest of the establishment media went into full victimhood mode, claiming the GIF of Trump body-slamming a logo, was somehow an incitement to violence against all media.

One US reported turned the press conference into a diatribe about Russiagate. This was almost certainly designed to stir tensions in Poland, Europe’s most anti-Russian state.
Donald Trump’s press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda turned to Russiagate as a US journalist tried to pound Trump on the Russia issue while inside Europe’s presently and historically most anti-Russian country. Clearly there was an attempt to stir tensions unnecessarily on the part of the reporter.
Trump reiterated his repeated statements that alleged election meddling could have been the work of Russia and/or any number of state or non-state actors. It is important to say alleged election meddling as no one has yet been able to prove a causal relationship between the hacking of DNC emails and the results of the election. This is a crucial point that Trump’s opponents in the US perpetually ignore.

SupplyChain24 says Volvo First Major Car Manufacturer to Go All Electric.
The headline is not quite accurate, nor is the notion we are on the verge of the end of the internal combustion engine.
This is a step in that direction, but let’s separate the hype from the reality.
