House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) on Tuesday that illegal aliens "make America more American."
"I'm honored to be here with the Dreamers who are perpetually advancing the American Dream," Pelosi told a CAPAC news conference. "Their courage and their optimism and their inspiration -- they make America more American."

Pelosi said she was in Chicago recently to attend an art exhibit dealing with the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. She actually suggested that what happened to the Japanese-Americans might also happen to the Dreamers, who were brought to the United States illegally as children:
A week and a half ago, I was in Chicago and I saw this art exhibit that I was invited to see. It's called 'And Then They Came For Me,' and it's about the internment of Japanese American patriots in our country, who were interned into camps during World War II.
