Across a series of facets, from support for socialism and a lack of patriotism to support for political violence and open borders, along with victories for the Democratic Socialists of America, a far-left movement intent on cannibalizing the party, in Democratic primaries, the Democrats are moving further toward the radical left than ever before.

Most Democrats Prefer Socialism Over Capitalism.
More than half of Democrats have a positive view of socialism, according to polling from YouGov published in August. Specifically, 58 percent of Democrats were recorded as having a positive view of socialism, compared to just 32 percent of Democrats who have a positive view of capitalism. In contrast, 50 percent of Democrats were recorded as having a negative view of capitalism, whereas only 18 percent had a negative view of socialism.
This followed similar polling by CNN in July, which showed that roughly one-third of Democrat and Democrat-leaning adults identified as “Democratic Socialists.” Support for socialism was particularly prominent among younger members, with 59 percent of self-described “Democratic Socialists” in the party being under the age of 45.
